Pathetic. Unaccountable. Lazy. Vague. Misleading. Clueless.

I could go on and on...this Company has a clear history of manipulating their customers by substantially increasing the overall claim that is filed on your behalf with the insurance Company, while taking every opportunity to never substantiate the work promised was completed. I'm honestly blown away at the consistent comments in reviews I see online concerning the fraudulent billing that occurs with these idiots. I have multiple specific documented examples of this, but the most basic example came when, during our restoration project due to a house fire in 2023/2024, we ultimately discovered that the flooring we had in our home pre-fire was no longer produced/existed, and that we had to choose a different flooring as a substitute, a very simple problem to solve. When we asked to get an understanding of what material unit price we should shoot for to match our claim amount, avoiding out of pocket costs, we were given a constant run-around as to the answer, with no team member ever taking any accountability on the issue. Ultimately, we dug into the details of our insurance settlement statements ourselves, which clearly showed a base material price of "$3.77 / square foot" for our flooring. The amount of incompetence on the First Onsite team's part at this stage of the project was unbelievably pathetic, given we ultimately selected a far superior quality flooring for $3.99 / square foot out of fear of the unknown, we received 4 or 5 versions of horribly formatted change orders alleging that the change order would increase our out of pockets costs by $20,000!!!! Now I'm no CPA (just kidding), but for a home that has about 1,700 square feet of floor being replaced, the $.22 increase in material cost is math that just doesn't math for my little teeny brain. I digress...I ultimately end up challenging their math enough that the project manager on the job LITERALLY QUITS HIS JOB AT FIRST ONSITE. Hey, do you Chris N., but the timing of your decision to resign from this pathetic dumpster fire of a Company makes for tremendous drama on an amazing Netflix series idea this entire experience has given me. Back to the show...the cherry on top comes in the form of the invoice they sent me 3 months after their "final invoice". You read that correctly, I received an additional invoice after the final invoice. Ironically, the timing of their follow up coincided with the timing of the release of our depreciation check from Nationwide. Can anyone explain to me how a contractor would bill for "depreciation" services that they provided? Don't worry, I'll wait, unless we cut to the chase and call a spade a spade, you intended to commit insurance fraud, conveying the fact that 'since we got paid', you should get paid, right? Incredibly, this comment regarding a depreciation check was brought up by the First Onsite team during a meeting that we asked for with my wife. The purpose of this meeting was to give them the opportunity to verify the accuracy of their incredibly inaccurate/vague billing practices that cause constant confusion. So just to reiterate, my wife came to their office in an honest attempt to rectify the past due amounts they claimed we owed, only to have our Depreciation check from insurance be introduced as a possible reason as to why we had a balance with them. After this meeting, in which absolutely nothing was accomplished with my wife, we only grew even more concerned with the overall quality of the job that was performed, questioning all of the items billed. When these additional questions were sent via email (which had already been brought up months ago, but the First Onsite team refused to provide any final answers as they continuously changed), we were told that their tremendous generosity had just expired, and that they would no longer be willing to look into the various billing errors that they agreed existed at the time of our meeting with them. The Corporate culture at this place must look like the inside of a rotten apple after the years of this message being pushed through the ranks.....Karen mode deactivated....dear Lord, please do not work with this Company. read more
