On December 30th, I had a river flowing thru my downstairs bathroom, bedroom, laundry room, family room and hallway. This was due to a clogged clean-out pipe in my front yard that had stoppage from roots of plants. I called ASR and they sent out several people to check out the damage and give me an estimate. I was so traumatized by this whole experience that I couldn't speak for a couple of weeks. Several guys came here immediately to remove all the damaged walls. A few days later, the re-built started, and everything was finished in 4 days. The dry-wallers, carpenters, painters, etc. were all FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!! I never saw such hard-working, polite guys --- they put up plastic sheets from my tile floor to the ceiling and put plastic coverings on my furniture -- to prevent dust from entering the other areas of my house. They ripped up the carpet in the bedroom which had water damage - and new carpet will be installed in the next few days. They left my house immaculate. WOW!!!!!!!!!!! I highly recommend ASR. The project manager was Dan Harrelson. Everything went smoothly with my insurance co. Michelle at ASR also called me a few times to keep me up-to-date. We had a pipe rupture under a kitchen sink in a rental property we own. The tenants were away for a month and did not have anyone checking on the property. When they returned the hardwood floor had buckled, the island pushed up, the marble broke, the Viking range lifted knocking the tile mosaic off the wall and the water had migrated up the walls behind the cabinets leaving mold in two rooms. It was a total disaster! ASR responded immediately and began mitigating the damage. Everyone we dealt with was competent and professional. From the initial clean up they helped guide us through this difficult process. They were used to dealing with insurance companies and did so for us on several occasions. Everyone from the first responder to the estimator to the supervising contractor was terrific. The gentleman who was the construction supervisor was amazing!!! His name is Sean Stark. I came home from work Saturday night, and found water coming through my bedroom ceiling. Notified my HOA since a lot more rain is inbound. ASR was on site by 10:30am on Super Bowl Sunday, and created an entire setup of tarps, blowers, hoses and dehumidifiers to keep things dry during the next few instances of rain, until the roof can be repaired. My husband and I experienced a back up of category 3 sewer water from a main line outside into our home late evening on March 16, 2015. It's probably one of the worst things to ever happen in your home... When ASR was called, they arrived promptly; assessed the situation and damage immediately; and had a team in our home in less than 30 minutes to prevent further contamination, start removing what was contaminated, and protecting what was not, then sanitizing the areas affected to keep us safe. Dear ASR In March 2015 I experienced a flood in my home. A pipe burst under the kitchen sink and ran all night long, causing the whole home to be evacuated for extraction, demolition and drying. ASR was recommended by the office mgr. for my home office business. They were able to send a crew out right away to start the cleanup. From day 1 to done they kept their word and even finished before the estimated completion date. Gerald, the project mgr. had a crew member there almost everyday. They cleaned up after themselves and were patient and helpful with changes I made to the original bid. The costs were fair. It's taken me way too long to write this review ... these folks were scheduled to repair the exterior/interior wall of my garage that had been crashed into. The entire process with ASR from top to bottom with this company was painless. The manager Willie came over and assessed the situation... what supplies would be needed and scheduled the work. The materials were delivered a few days before the work was to start. Horrifyingly the start date was the first day of a triple digit heat wave that was to last 4 days. I highly recommend ASR Property Restoration. Excellent workmanship and professional every time they came to my home. I was always keep up to speed on everything that was going on every step of the way. If I had any questions or concerns, Robert always got back to me super fast. Everything was always cleaned up and left very tidy when they left regardless if they were coming back the next day. All their guys were really great to work with especially Sergio. He had so many things to install and fix that day and all he said to me was "don't worry I'll get everything done and leave your house looking great." I feel like my experience and Randy B's are similar in many ways. I had a flooding in a rental property due to a broken pipe. There was water all over the front of the house. The plumber recommended ASR and they came over and told me what would need to be done. The first guy who came was very professional and reassuring. They took a lot of photos. I asked if I should also take photos but was reassured I didn't need to because they would send me the photos (which they never did). Fans were brought in, walls were cut, carpet removed, etc. Then the problems began. The mitigation part is automatically covered by insurance so that is very fast but the reconstruction may or may not be so they said they would have to negotiate with the insurance. The plumber recommended I repipe as I had already had a leak so I agreed. Because the plumber needed to cut drywall in order to repipe, there was double damage. I knew that the insurance would not cover the cost of the repipe so I expected there to be two estimates: one for the insurance and one for me. But instead there was only one that was submitted to the insurance. Because of that it was never sorted out from the start what was damage from the leak and damage from the repipe. I tried to have them understand that just because an area was repiped it doesn't mean it wasn't damaged by the leak. But they were not interested in helping me as the insurance would negotiate but whatever insurance didn't cover I was on the hook for. So they had no incentive to give me options on the part that wasn't covered by insurance or try to sort out what painting would have had to be done even if there hadn't been repiping. A month later I find out that the estimate to the insurance company included the non reimbursable parts that the insurance denied. But by then ASR had done a lot of the work. I didn't realize that more than half of what they were charging would not be reimbursed. I could have hired someone else to do that part if they told me it wouldn't be covered by insurance. The work they did do was very expensive and the quality was very poor. I was assured up and down that they would repair all the damage from the leak and from the repipe but there were several area that had to be redone. They painted the door and left cracks that were visible and primer visible. That had to be redone by someone else. There were walls that were so rough and bubbly they had to be redone. They piled up trash in the family room and damaged the wall so I had to have someone else paint that. They also charged for things they didn't do and did unnecessary things without checking with me. They had very bad communication with me. I was lucky if I got back one response after 4 or 5 attempts. They would start something and then have no one at the property for a week. So originally I was told it should take 3 weeks to repair everything and it ended up being over two months. I would stay away from this company. read more

ASR exceeded my expectations and restored my faith that there are those with integrity out there who really do a great job and care about the customer! Eric was very thorough and communicated well with me throughout. Every day, he or Chris called and came by to check the moisture and make adjustments as needed. I think I was lucky in that I caught the leak early, but now I know who to call should I have reason to need this service again in the future. I own an apartment in Ventura & the day after Christmas a water heater failed in an upper unit, extensively damaging the unit below. To make matters worse, I was thousands of miles away on a family vacation. I was lucky to find ASR Construction through word of mouth. Sean S., the guy in charge of my 6 week remediation, was wonderful! The unit had to be gutted, the tenant had to vacate. There was significant water damage & the plumber (not from ASR) had destroyed the unit's heating system when he did his emergency repair! Sean guided my project as painlessly as possible. What I appreciate the most is how he communicated daily, good news or bad, so that I was always in the loop. We passed every inspection quickly because work was done right the first time. My tenant moved back in today to a unit that I know is safe, because every test & care was taken by ASR. A few months ago my washing machine overflowed and flooded my garage. This is a big deal in our world because we had recently moved in and had tons of our belongings in boxes waiting for us to unpack them filled in the garage. ASR showed up quickly and helped us move our things out of the garage and put other large items up on blocks so we could begin the dry down process. They helped us assess the situation and save everything that was important to us. As with all emergencies... It happened at night and just before leaving town. The level of professionalism and care we experienced made it easy to trust the employees to access our home while we were gone. From what we understand from listening to their amazing technicians Damon and Blake there is a science to drying structures properly in order to avoid mold so someone on their team would come by to check on the equipment periodically and determine what tweaks needed to be made to complete the drying process properly. By the time we got back from our 3 day weekend getaway everything was all done. Everything was back to normal. I have never had this kind of experience before but I highly recommend anyone who has an emergency such as a water damage to call ASR. Run away-don't walk. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are incompetent and do not stand by their work. They tell you what you want to hear, and put you in a position where you need to pay to just finish the job - mediocre at best. Need others to come fix their work. The flooring company they insisted we use through them did a horrible job and we had to pay $350 for our own report to get them to re-lay properly and clean up the mess they made. The laminate floor that they said was like our old one and would hold up is already ruined in several places. They did not research what type of floor we had. I am not construction savvy so I trusted what they told me. They just focused on the cheapest and what insurance would cover. We repeatedly told them we just wanted our floor to be like what we had and would pay what we needed to get that. Our old floor had been in for 20 years with kids and a dog and was in better shape than our new floor. It only had a 3ft by 2 ft spot of water damage in a small room. They replaced the whole house and our new laminate floor is scratching off in places and its not even a year. They brought in a painter to fix the baseboards, he didn't put tarp or paper down and white paint dripped on new floor. Also, did not use tape so lines were not straight. Manager said I could touch it up and he would drop a can of paint for me. Never heard from him again. If my health wasn't so affected by the stress we would have taken them to court. A horrible experience, a waste of money - even with insurance we paid a ton out of pocket, and now have to get a new floor - AGAIN! read more

DO NOT USE THIS CO. We cannot stress enough how unhappy we were after hiring ASR to take care of mold remediation. They will say anything to get the job and then completely contradict themselves after being hired and you become unhappy as a customer. Suddenly our complaints became "our" fault and "we misunderstood" what we were told by ASR! Well the truth is... we were lied to by ASR by them telling us we were mold free after their remediation work when indeed we were NOT. When we sent them pictures (because none of the "Supervisors" came to check their crews work) we were told that the rest of the mold would have been taken care of if we had hired their Co. for Reconstruction!! It is clear that ASR doesn't know what the words "remediation" and "reconstruction" actually mean. It became painfully clear that ASR doesn't care at all about whether or not they have REALLY taken care of a mold issue or not. They clearly just do the bare minimum and COVER it up enough so people believe them and feel safe. What they really want is the reconstruction part of the job because that is where they make more money. This Co. has caused our family HUGE inconvenience, aggravation, health hazards and has damaged our belongings, our floors, left us without power and treated us with utter disrespect. They have been dishonest, careless and have shown complete disrespect for us and for our home. We now have to hire a different Co. to properly address the situation left from ASR's failure to do the job properly that they were hired to do. We have never written a negative yelp review and felt compelled to do so to save someone else from having to go through what we have. read more

No one likes to have to use these services because you have a huge mess on your hands, but the people from ASR made things so much easier for us considering the situation. Shawn and his crew arrived within an hour of calling. Our toilet overflowed leaving a water mess in all rooms near it. They handled the situation professionally and made sure to let us know they would check back daily to hopefully be able to remove some of the equipment. Unfortunately, at about 9:00pm the same night, we had to call them back as we had a sewer backup in another bathroom (I won't go into details). Shawn once again showed up with another member of ASR to handle this situation. It was late, but they still had a smile on their faces. Once everything was taken care of, they called about having someone out to give us an estimate about replacing the carpet and all other materials that were ruined.
