**1 STAR -- ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE! DO NOT HIRE VSNY VAN LINES!**…read more If I could give ZERO stars, I would! This has been one of the most unprofessional, dishonest, and frustrating experiences I've ever had with a company. **SAVE YOUR MONEY AND STAY FAR AWAY!** We hired VSNY Van Lines for a TWO-PART move and paid a $1,995 deposit. The agreement was to move our belongings into storage on October 7, 2026, and then into our new home on October 22. **FIRST MOVE -- OCTOBER 7:** The movers arrived TWO HOURS LATE. Once there, they demanded an additional $800 for "heavy items," including our refrigerator, washer, dryer, bed, and 77-inch OLED TV. EVERY SINGLE ITEM was already listed on our original quote! The four movers spent approximately 2.5 HOURS moving our belongings into storage, yet demanded the remaining $3,700 IN CASH, despite only completing HALF of the contracted move! Their handling of our belongings was HORRIBLE. They literally wrapped our expensive **77-INCH OLED TV IN WHAT LOOKED LIKE SARAN WRAP!** No proper TV box or adequate protection. Our furniture was also poorly wrapped. One company representative instructed us to pay the full $3,700 cash. AFTER I handed over the money, another representative admitted that paying $3,700 for 2.5 hours of work made absolutely no sense! Desmond, the sales representative, then called back and arranged for the movers to return $1,800. HOW DOES A COMPANY HAVE EMPLOYEES GIVING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS?! My husband spoke extensively with Desmond about the careless handling of our belongings. He NEVER followed up. **SECOND MOVE -- OCTOBER 22:** We spent TWO WEEKS repeatedly calling to schedule the second part of our move. My husband was finally assured October 22 was confirmed. On October 21, after receiving NO confirmation or arrival time, my husband called and was told the movers would get to us "sometime over the weekend." When he explained that this was unacceptable, the representative stated they could come the next day but **"CAN'T GUARANTEE YOUR BELONGINGS WON'T BE BROKEN."** ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! What kind of professional moving company says that to a paying customer?! And guess what? **THE MOVERS NEVER SHOWED UP!** We paid thousands of dollars for a two-part move, and VSNY Van Lines FAILED TO COMPLETE THE SERVICE WE PAID FOR! We have repeatedly requested a refund for the services they failed to provide. Every time, we're told someone will get back to us. **NO REFUND. NO FOLLOW-UP. NO ACCOUNTABILITY.** Between the surprise charges, conflicting payment demands, careless handling of our belongings, completely unacceptable comments about potential damage, and failure to show up, this experience has been an ABSOLUTE DISASTER. Moving is stressful enough without having to chase down a company you've already paid thousands of dollars to do a job they agreed to complete. **DO NOT TRUST VSNY VAN LINES WITH YOUR MONEY OR YOUR BELONGINGS!** I sincerely hope this review prevents another family from experiencing what we've gone through. **VSNY VAN LINES -- WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK FOR THE SERVICES YOU NEVER PROVIDED!**

As for the move itself, I cannot say enough about the efficiency, professionalism and respectfulness of Jonathan, Edwin and Brandon. They made a great team, and they made a stressful and difficult process much easier for us. I highly recommend Smooth Move!! Service: Local move

Chris came to our home to speak to us ( he offered a virtual ) and do a walk thru and was very accurate and deliberate in informing us what he would do. We received a detailed estimate that was easy to read and understand. Our move was delayed 3 times and there was no issue with rescheduling. We were also received a call from the lead man who would be in charge of the move, and would supervise the actual move. That was comforting to know that someone that aware of my situation was on site. (I had a heart attack just 10 days earlier) The move went so smooth, the arrives on time, pack up and dissembled all the beds and packed our belongings as if it was theirs. We left the house that we lived in for 45 years. We arrived at our new home in Bay Shore (closer now to our kids and grandkids) and they were very helpful it reassembling everything and allowing us to put new pads on every piece of furniture if we requested it. They were carful and attentive not to do any damage to our new home and our furniture and placed every box as I directed. When it was all over and was handed the final bill the actually lowered the price based on the number of items and boxes actually moved.
