The MAIN reason I like this particular place is because of the manager. Ana is unbelievably good. I have dealt with many managers on many levels and she is one of, and probably the BEST, of anyone. She is friendly, knowledgeable, caring about her customers and building. She maintains the building, bathroom, grounds immaculate. She has high standards and more than meets them. This place is horrible. Do not use. Constant increases. 20% late charge fee for 5 days late. Go elsewhere or you will regret it!!

Very easy to navigate! They provide pallets as well. For my first self storage experience it went extremely smoothly!

BEWARE: YOUR RENTAL RATE WILL SKYROCKET: ========================================== This place is a real racket. They reward longtime customers by gradually raising the monthly rental to the point where it is literally near DOUBLE the introductory rate. Also, don't imagine that your stored items will be intact when you return. Most of the rooms have no roof. At one point I visited my room only to find they were sanding the cement floors, and everything in my unit was covered with a thick layer of concrete dust. I can't imagine what this has done to the electronic equipment and books I had stored. I will be emptying my unit and cutting my losses this month. You have been warned. read more

Public Storage Employee Chris' at the Northport, New York facility off Fort Salonga Road was excellent. Chris was courteous, professional and polite and went above and beyond to help me with a much needed storage unit for my move from Queens, NY. He gave me and my wife a tour of the facility and fully explained the access protocols. Chris also offered to keep in touch in the event other units might become available. At first everything was going good at this storage facility. Now anytime I go, there are never any carts around to move the stuff from my car to the unit and back. Then yesterday we realized there are some bugs in our unit now. They seem to be those spricket things. Disgusting! Seems like they can set traps or something? read more

Be careful with this facility. I went to my locker to retrieve the title to my car. From a small safe I kept in there . It was missing. I went to the from desk after to report the issue . I was told they did a visual inventory. my safe was missing and other items were out of their boxes and some other items were clearly moved. All I was told was make a police report. I asked for a record of who did the inventory they wouldn't help me . read more

As other have mentioned, this place is such a scam. After six months, they will increase your rent GUARANTEED. Try to speak to the local reps...they wont return your call. I call Customer Service and they tell you, if you don't like it..move out! UNREAL! To top things off, the units are infested with Camel Crickets.....look them up....harmless but nasty! Sign you up at one fee, then raise you repeatedly. 30% in 1 year! This is their policy, they figure once you're in you won't move so they have you. In addition, your rate goes up once you're in, but if someone walks in new they will get your old original rate while you are paying 30+% more than them for the same thing! I'm rating the facility a four because of the smell of mothballs in my unit. I rate Nick a FIVE. He was fantastic! My visit with him to rent a unit was fast, easy and he answered all of my questions and concerns. I would recommend this Public Storage Facility to a friend with the added information about the moth ball smell. read more

I needed a good storage space but in a decent location, also something that was not so small.... and also a place that did not charge me a "million" dollar fee monthly...just because of location (that was all the other ones excuse to me..) that is why I got the Public Storage at Fort Salonga. I was very pleased with the place, super clean. Even better was Frank and Ashley help. Ashley had great customer service- was fast and actually accommodated me without my request with a unit on the ground floor. She "had a feeling" I would like it better. No doubt!
