Worst manicure and pedicure ever. People are not friendly. She did not polish/buffed my nails. Just awful.

Been going here years lately, the technicians are in a super hurry. This is the final straw.. i asked the technician 3 times not to use the dremel on my nails. Because I have experienced gel and when you remove the gel it weakens your nails. I finally got to a point where my nails were feeling better. I asked him 3 times not to use the dremel. He used it anyway.He feeling like he knows better than me.I asked for no polish, he put on clear polish. I'm sure he was thinking he was doing me a favor but the communication,is shit. I really should've got up and walked out, but I didn't. I needed the manicure because I'm going away now. I have thin sore nails with two coats of clear, another six months until my nails recover again. I'll be looking for a new place where I am heard. I told the manager, but she didn't understand me neither. read more

I've been going to this place for years now, I live right down the street and I love it. I see reviews that are not great but I go at least twice a month to get manicures and pedicures and never have a problem. My favorite is Ken, he does a great job. Regardless, even when he is not available I can go to anyone and they all do a great job. read more

I went in first thing this morning after calling and talking to the owner Henry. He didn't do my nails but made suggestions for how to make them look the best for my daughter's wedding. I shared a photo of what I wanted. I have short nails so they added extensions and used powder to make them feel light. The young gentleman who did mine did an awesome job. They were very kind and gave me "diamonds" free since I will be the Mother of the Bride. I love looking at my hands and already got lots of compliments. First Nails is first in my book! read more

I just walked out of this place and I'll never be back. I've been once before and had a woman that did an incredible manicure. This time, I had a man that cut up my cuticle and continued to buff, brush and paint my nails as if nothing happened. I am an esthetician and I have been trained in sterilization, sanitation and blood pathogens. This man is not sterilizing any of his equipment and I spent the majority of my time, after he cut my cuticle, looking for their sterilizer. It is in the back and the cord is wrapped up ontop of it. Not plugged in. I am disgusted and horrified. I hope I don't have a blood born pathogen. I hope no one else that comes here does either. He also only cured each hand for no more than 30 seconds at a time. I counted after the first time he turned the light off. I would love to give this man negative stars. DO NOT COME HERE. I came here for a pedicure and overall I was not very impressed. The salon is in a great location, however, the actual salon can use some TLC. The towels were old and brown--the fact that they are brown tells me they do not bleach the towels while cleaning them which is a big red flag for me. The tools they use also did not seem sanitary. Everything was used and nothing came out of a sanitizing solution. The polish selection is good, mostly Essie & OPI, however, most of the colors were in the pink/red family. The nude section was lacking, which I found odd. The pedicure process was also a bit lackluster, my friend and I were side by side and its like we got completely different treatments. There is no uniformity leaving space for a step to be missed--which happened to BOTH of us. My tech forgot to do the hot towel and my friend's forgot her top coat. For the price, I can't really complain. At the end of the day my cuticles were cleaned up and my toes were polished without any major flaws. read more

I just needed a repair on one nail. Three different people for one nail and they couldn't pull it off. I selected a picture of work from their website. Nothing elaborate, just a pink tip. Showed the picture to the third first and third person. The third person decided to do her own thing after walking away to help another person who verbalized they were early for an appointment. I just wanted a pink tip. She apply the color to my entire nail after I told her that was NOT what I requested. Her response " this looks better ". Then told me to sit for 5 minutes and never returned. When I walked to the register she yelled "seven dollars ". I visit the area frequently and it would have been nice to find a good nail salon in the area. This one I will not visit again. They did not listen to the customer and were not courteous. read more

The nail salon is conveniently located close to my hotel. The environment is ok but an use some cleaning. The service was impeccable. I had a deluxe pedicure with Gel polish and a fill in with gel polish as well and 2 finger designs. My tech did not talk to me but spoke to her co workers in her language which is typical in most all shops. I would have appreciated if the tech was more personable. I was charged extra for having long nails although it was not a full set just a fill in. My total was $100. This shop doesn't serve beverages or wine. Typically, I pay $100 for a full set and a pedicure. I was alarmed that I was charged extra for my nail length. My tech's name was Kim. read more

First time. Last time. This place is depressing. The most glaring problem is cleanliness. Hello, DBPR?There were towels from a previous pedicure, I assume, left on the floor the whole time I was there. The walls and floors were filthy. Someone's lunch was atop the unused nail tool sanitizer box with balled up towels. I say unused because the cuticle cutter used on my nails were not sanitized. He pulled them from his cart, took off the plastic tip protector and proceeded to tend to my nails. When done, he replaced the cap and put the cutters on his cart. Needless to say I was ecstatic when he sprayed my nails with alcohol after... kill those germs and pray I don't get a fungus! Another bothersome item is they remove gel polish by using the drill only. For those with thin, sensitive nail beds this method of taking off polish is not favorable. I can go on, but here I pointed out the main problems I had issue with. You should bring your own tools if you still decide to go. And extra alcohol. read more

HORRIBLE experience!!! For my mani-pedi, the technician did not remove my cuticles and did not do the cross filing to remove ridges from my nails. The owner said that the cross filing would cost an extra $3, and I said that I have ALWAYS had that done as part of the services. Also, that additional $3 charge is not listed on their price board. As a result, the finish was not smooth nor shiny. She also applied only one coat, and, when I had it re-done yesterday at Alexander's in Hallendale Beach, that technician applied four coats. She left four spots of polish on my skin and told me to wait 10 minutes before putting on my socks and shoes. I waited at least 15 minutes as she didn't return to check on me, and the polish was not dry. Additionally, the technician tried to swindle me into purchasing the no-chip polish ($20 extra), but the woman next to me told me to decline it. The technician presented it as the only option. I returned the next day for a re-do, and the owner offered to apply a top coat only. I demanded that she re-do them, and she reluctantly removed the polish with a small electric device and replace the original polish with glitter polish. I am a 62yo man and did not have glitter polish originally. She also did not do the cross filing, so the finish will still bumpy. She stated several times...angrily...that this is the only re-do...that I'd have to pay again the next time. read more

Horrible customer service. DO NOT COME HERE ! My first impression - The whole salon smells like Mold and mildew !!! EW !! The bathroom smells worse. I came in 5 minutes late to my appointment ... another lady walked in behind me and they decided to do her nails instead of Mine . They Told me I had to come back tomorrow unless I wanted a refill which MY APPOINTMENT WAS FOR A FULL SET ! I do not get refills. I made it clear to them I have a photoshoot coming up and if I cant get great quality nails I didn't want the appointment. RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS After 7 years of coming to this place every two weeks , inadvertently I put back in my purse $20 that I had given the owner for change to pay Tiffany her tip . The owner called me after I left demanding I return to the shop, she didn't allow me to talk . "I have you in camera I have you in camera " she screamed to me when I tried to ask her what is the issue . I didn't know what she was talking about as her english is extremely broken . I returned and she came blasting at me , I pulled the $20 and throw them in the floor as I was afraid she might hit me . The owner is a heavyset lady . I am still puzzled as I don't understand how being a regular client that has always paid , for seven years why was I treated this way . The success of any business is not only on the services they provide but on how they treat their client . This is an unprofessional business , the owner is rude and does not treat her clients with respect. As you probably assume, I will not return to this place and hope those that want to be treated with respect will never go there . Tony usually does my nails but Nancy the owner said he had an appt coming over so I just told anyone is fine. Well halfway thru getter no my nails and feet done Tony's appt didnt show and he got mad at the nice young man doing my nails and they all got into an argument with me sitting their!! When i was getting ready to leave Nancy bring me a business card and said I have to make an appt next time if I want my nails done! The gel nail polish was so uneven that I had to have it redone elsewhere. No attention to detail and rushed through like it was race to finish. The equipment for the curing where you place your hand was crusted with previous polish that had not been cleaned maybe ever and was hotter than it should have been. Needs replacement.
