Colonial Bank bought our loan from Prime Lending (a great company in Austin) without our knowledge…read more That's when things turned bad. They immediately INCREASED our mortgage by $300 per month without notice. When I called to ask why the rep explained that they projected an increase in property taxes; so they needed to fund the escrow to cover it. This increased payment has gone on over a year now and we have a sizable SURPLUS or our money sitting in the escrow - unavailable to us, as the property taxes DID NOT increase as they had projected. That's nice, however they are not giving us our money back or even applying it to principle. I've called 2x now and the very nice and polite phone rep tells me that they will be rebalancing everything and cutting checks soon. Still - I don't like it that they have essentially had an extra $4K of my money this year and I need this to pay INCOME TAXES NOW!

Its been closer to 300 days and still no FULL ACCOUNTING at all, just fragments of accounting every 4-5 months they claim is from a third party source but do not display that third party and ignored my request for their contact information. When I mentioned them not fulfilling their fiduciary obligation and were being shady by attempting to hide the full accounting from me, they stopped responding to me all together. This was about 4 months ago. I have contacted all branches, sent multiple contact requests through the main website. Called ans spoke with Lynn, who then hung up on me after stating she didnt have to help me. left messages on linked in and facebook, which a chatbot in FB messenger finally said they would forward to their team and that bot is the ONLY response I have received in all these months. If there is nothing to hide in the accounting since the week my grandmother died, why not share it with me, a beneficiary, who is legally permitted to request and attain within 90 days of my demand letter. As well as all other previous attempts! Code 113.151 Also this, the judge only granted that I pay half of court related atty fees, yet Todd Lincoln back charged me half of all the other beneficiary atty fees and refuses to provide me proof that I owed that, let alone refund the amount I did not owe. Once again gaslighting me as though I requested a refund from the trust atty fees, i made clear before and after it was for the other beneficiaries atty fees.This bank is not integrable in duty or word.

I wasn't sure how long I'd keep my Simmons Bank account, just because it currently isn't as populous as some other banks, but with service like this, I'll definitely be keeping this account. I'd been waiting for a replacement debit card from corp and Alisha eagerly and patiently assisted with all of my follow up inquiries. It is hard to find this kind of diligent service that she provided, in our rush-rush world-especially in the finance field. Well I had a cash deposit to make, and I decided to see the shared branch list had changed any? It did, and now CU access is a bike ride away. I've been to Unity One a couple times now, and service has been good. It's not as busy as AA, and that's good too. It seems to take a little longer for shared branch activities, but I think it's because they have to access a different system. Only down thing? Well at AA they seemed to always have a plate of cookies out. Here, there's just a bowl of Dumb Dumb Lollipops. This CU also has drive up, something I don't think AA had. Bottom line: Nice to have this option close to home.
