Had Crystal do our 3D/4D scan and we had such a great experience! She greeted us as we walked in and accommodated our family of 9. We were in quickly and she did a thorough exam. We highly recommend First Look and Crystal for anyone looking for a great 4D experience! read more

I surprised my Husband on his Birthday yesterday on 6/29/2016, to find out the gender of our 1st child. This has been the most memorable moment in my whole entire life and I have to thank "First Look Sonogram" for this day. The facility is beautiful, like other yelpers mentioned, it's clean, nice and cozy. The room is huge, bed is fluffy, ultrasound tech was super sweet and very welcoming. My whole family was able to join and they were comfortable the whole entire time. I will definitely recommend this place to all my friends and future Momma's to be! Thank you! read more

I couldn't be happier with First Look Sonogram. Both Alan, the owner, and Katie, the technician were extremely kind, knowledgeable and very helpful. We got the 4D Package with the DVD and CD. My wife and I couldn't decide which music we wanted. Alan was very patient and let us listen to as many cd's/songs as we wanted while we waited. When it came to be our time, we went in to the room. It was huge with couches and a nice comfortable bed for mom to be. Katie got some great shots as well as took measurements and recorded the heartbeat. My only disappointment (for lack of a better word) is that the babys heartbeat is barely audible under the music. I highly recommend First Look Sonogram. Another plus, the beach is a short walk down the street. read more

This is my very first review on yelp since I was so amazed by their service. First of all, I had a wonderful time with the technician. Even though my baby was hiding her face with her hands, my technician was being so patient and tried everything to get pictures of her face. Lucky me! I am very satisfied with the result. Second, I found out that my CD had no pictures for some reason. I called and asked if there was a way to get a new copy since I needed it by the next day. (the office was closed already when I called) I believe the manager answered and he told me he would try his best and call me back. At this point, I was not sure if he would call me or not but he did call me after a little while and explained the situation - he tried to mail it by UPS overnight service but it was too late, so he was willing to personally deliver it to my address. What a great guy!! He actually delivered it to me!!! Like I said, I was truly amazed by their service and I highly recommend this place!!! read more

This is a nice place. Dont expect to sit in the room and savor the moment though. They'll tell you the sex right away, you get about a minute to swoon and you're done. Everyone is friendly. Relatively inexpensive. Definitely come here if all you want to do is find out the gender. I've been here twice and both times I spent less than 10 minutes in the sonogram room. I only cared to find out the gender so that was perfectly fine with me. I would and have recommended this place to other read more

First Look Sonogram is ALWAYS such an amazing experience! My wife and I have come here several times over the past few years, the first couple of times for our first son, and a couple of times since for our second son. I've already written a glowing review for this place as it has already been a rewarding experience with the DVD packages we received for our first son. But this most recent experience for our second son has really blown us out if the water! We have always received excellent service from First Look Sonogram, but the first thing we noticed upon our most recent visit was the clear upgrade the company has undergone since our previous visits. The lobby is SO much cleaner than before and there is now an entertainment center that distracts the little ones from the tedium of the wait room! In fact, we had arrived half an hour early and told the new owner that we planned on walking the beach before we came back for our appointment. But those plans were thwarted by the conversation we sparked up with the new owner of First Look Sonogram, Matteo! Our first visits to First Look Sonogram have always been wonderful. But I couldn't tell you the name of the previous owner as he never really gave us much attention. He was a ghost always lurking in the background. The new owner Matteo spoke to us and truly made us feel welcome to First Look Sonogram as we'd never felt before! read more

The service they offer is truly wonderful and it's a very reasonable price. I came in with my family to find out my baby's gender at 19 weeks (although they guarantee gender identification at 14 weeks, which is great !). The tech was extremely personable and really understood how exciting it is for parents and loved ones to see their baby in 4 D for the first time. I was so grateful to be able to share this experience with my family while I was out in Southern California for a visit. My only recommendation is that they get new waiting area furniture and get a new couch in the sonogram room- they were quite dingy and dirty and needed replacing. Other than that, I had an excellent experience and highly recommend First Look. read more

Visited First Look Sonogram last Saturday afternoon, what a beautiful day to head to Redondo Beach. We completely enjoyed the experience. The owner and ultrasound tech were very courteous and helpful. There is plenty of (metered) parking in the area. My husband & I were able to see our little boy's face, fingers, feet...we saw him yawn, smile and put his feet up to his face! We had plenty of color pics and B&W pics printed along w/a CD-ROM of the pics. I would defenitely recommend First Look Sonogram to any expecting mothers who want a 3D/4D sonogram. Afterward we took a short walk down the street and hung out at the beach. It was all in all a great day! read more

Great place and great prices! The whole team here is great and go out of their way for you. We had such a great experience and the whole staff is very knowledgeable. My wife and I came here after a recent perinatology appointment after finding out our baby was measuring a bit on the heavier side. Krystal was our ultrasound tech and she performed all the measurements the doctor makes us pay tons of money for at a competitive price. Krystal was very attentive, kind and reassuring and made the ultrasound process amazing. Would highly recommend coming here to see your little one! read more

My husband and I had a great experience here! We were able to get a next-day appointment and the types of services, policies, and procedures (including COVID-19 safety measures) were explained clearly to us on the phone. We received a text message confirming our appointment the day before, and all of our questions were answered ahead of time. We requested Krystal (who as you can see here garnered many excellent reviews) to be our sonographer and learned that she was working the next day and that she would be our technician. When we showed up to the office, it was clean and tidy and well-kept, just a block away from Redondo Beach front and in the middle of the lively Riviera neighborhood. We completed our paperwork with the friendly staff and a few minutes later were brought back to the sonogram room which was plush and comfy. It was a cozy living room type atmosphere with a comfortable bed for Mom to lie on, and a plush couch for family and partners to relax on while we watched the ultrasound on a nice big screen TV. Krystal, our sonographer, was very friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and explained what she was doing and seeing on the ultrasound as she worked. She answered all of our questions and towards the end of our ultrasound, asked if we had any other questions for her or if there was anything else specifically we wanted to see with our baby. She took lots of photos and we received more images than advertised on the package we purchased. We walked out with a nice goody bag with great samples and several hard copy ultrasound photos, and received the full collection of photos by emails before the end of the day as promised. I highly recommend this service if you are looking for a great place to receive elective ultrasounds in between your OB/GYN visits (note that they require you to be under the care of your physician/midwife as their service is not a substitute or proxy for medical care, but they are happy to send any images to your doctor's office if you request). read more

I hate writing this review. I actually had a great experience with first look sonogram in 2012 with my first child. I scheduled a appointment at 14 weeks to find the gender and found out, it was a boy! I am now expecting my second child. My husband and I immediately knew we would be returning after our first experience. I made a appointment at 14 weeks and was planning on having my gender reveal at 15 weeks. My first appointment I was told the baby is measuring 1 day smaller (13 weeks and 6 days). They told me they could not determine the gender on the visit due to baby's legs being cross which I understood. I returned the next Friday when I was 14 weeks and 6 days. This time the person performing the ultrasound said she got the shot. She took it to the owner/doctor and came back in the room and said he would not make the call. The gender was supposed to be a surprise. She kept making comments like "well it could only be one thing" "I see what it is, but I am just not sure". Just making the experience uncomfortable. They knew I had my gender reveal planned on Sunday and she suggested I come back 2-3 weeks later because "my baby is still really small". At this point I was upset, they advertise all over the website indicating they do gender determination after 14 weeks. Yet, they recommended me to return when I am almost 17-18 weeks? I might as well wait for my dr. to tell me at this point. They gave no apologies and instead kept mentioning my baby is just small. They kept insisting I get a blood test because ultrasounds are never 100% accurate??!! Why would I want to spend a additional $100? Why do you advertise gender determination at 14 weeks? They did not offer any apologies, any refunds for wasting my time. They should just advertise gender determination after 17 weeks and that is still not 100% accurate. They only offer 1 free session if they can not determine gender. I had already went twice and they could not determine gender. So at this point i would need to pay again because your dr. and sonogram person really can not tell.. I left and cried in the car because I knew I had to cancel the gender reveal and June was super busy ever weekend. So in the end we would no longer have one. I searched yelp and found another place that offers gender determination at 15 weeks and scheduled the appointment for the next day. I went in and the baby legs were crossed. I was super sad but the team was great. They gave me a cup of water, had me walk around the room for a few minutes. They mentioned baby measured exactly at what I provided, not one day short like FLS stated. I laid back down and they told me they got the photo they needed. We ended up having our gender reveal and it was girl. I went to my dr and asked for the blood test. Just to ensure they were right especially because first look sonogram struggled sooo much. Indeed, it was a girl. In the end, if the baby has legs crossed offer your clients water. Have them walk around, don't just make them leave. I feel this place offers such false advertising. They can only determine gender at 14 weeks if it is a boy. They struggled with me because it was a girl. On the website they have a testimony stating gender determination at 13 weeks. Yet, my 15 week baby was too small to determine gender. Horrible past 2 experiences. I'll never return and I'll never refer again. read more

This is the best place :), Our baby hid his face using his legs and arms 3 times, and they rescheduled us all the time without any issues, The office location is beautiful (it is a long drive from my place, 80 miles but it worths it), close to the beach, nice restaurants etc. Alan (If I remember his name correctly, he is the guy meeting you first when you enter the office), is super kind, and super informative. The lady (sorry I forget your name :)) who is doing the ultrasound is super cool, she answers all our questions, she is super kind. The office is really clean and nice. I highly recommend this place, and will definitively go here again if/when we decide for a second baby :) read more

I loved this place! Very professional, clean, and the location is right by the beach. Came here with my husband when I was 14.5 weeks along. We paid for gender check and a disc with some of the sonogram photos for $10 more. Honestly, it's definitely not even worth having the photos because they were so blurry and the quality wasn't as good as our doctor. However, after trying some different angles they said we were having a girl. I'm super skeptical, so we didn't really tell anyone until my 20 wk anatomy scan- but our doctor confirmed immediately that we are in fact expecting a girl!! Because they got the gender right and the office was clean and comfortable I'm giving it 5 stars. If you only really want to know gender, might still be smarter to wait closer to 16 wks, as we were there a long time before the tech "got it" and don't bother paying extra for pictures if you are opting for traditional ultrasound. read more

Awesome, spa-like atmosphere. Alan and his staff are wonderful and kind and very helpful. I had my ultrasound today - I am 14 weeks and wasn't sure if they'd be able to tell if the baby was a boy or a girl. Kate (the ultrasound tech) was very patient and thorough- and we DID find out what we're having. I had my husband and two young daughters with me - and we had the nicest, most positive bonding experience. This is our last baby and I am so glad that we decided to go to First Look. We will be back when the baby is bigger to take another peek. We had a perfect experience and I can't recommend First Look enough!!! What a great place! read more

I just visited First Look Sonogram yesterday at 14 weeks and two days. I don't often bother to write reviews, but this place deserves one. I am expecting my first child and have been VERY impatient to find out whether my little one is a girl or a boy. They were AMAZING at this place. I was greeted by the very friendly staff, filled out a short form, and was seen right on time. The ultrasound tech was WONDERFUL. I paid for the most basic $50 package, which includes only a 5 minute ultrasound. My little one decided to be stubborn and wouldn't uncross her legs...but the tech patiently watched and waited and had me wiggle around until she could tell us that the baby is, indeed, a little girl. She was both very professional and very friendly. It was VERY well worth the money, and I enjoyed the experience so much that we plan on returning with family just to see our new addition and have a video made. Might also come back when I'm farther along for some 3D images. I can't think of a single complaint. If you can afford the more than reasonable pricing, GO! Most memorable money I have ever spent. read more

Took my niece in at 31 weeks and the place is very calming and the staff is super friendly. It was definitely an enjoyable experience for my niece as well as myself. We got a package that included a 20 picture CD-ROM and printouts. My niece really wanted a DVD so she went back the same day to buy one, which would have been less expensive if we would have purchased it in the package but that was our mistake. She got home to watch it and was a bit disappointed it had no music and on their website it says it is suppose to have music. Overall, this place is pretty awesome for sonograms and once again the staff is GREAT!! :) read more

We have been to a few different places because I've been nervous my whole pregnancy and comparing to others weve been to this one was the most comfortable, friendly, affordable and rewarding. The tech was super patient and kind and I had no issues. We will definitely return. My high risk specialist also spoke highly of this location as well and most doctors think these places are silly. read more

I found First Look through searching the internet and went to Yelp.com to find out if these guys were the real deal and see what others had to say. FIrst of all, the facility is really, really nice. The room where they do the exam is huge, comfortable and has enough space for at least 15-20 people to gather if you wanted to have a whole family affair there. We were able to see some great images of our baby of 2D and 4D Images. It was so super special to also find out the gender in the same visit. It was confirmed hands down to be a baby girl! I am looking forward having this baby when it comes! Woot! The staff were so sweet, professional and a great facility. I walked away with a ton of pictures and a CD of images of our baby! It was truly special. I would recommend this place to anyone! read more

Couldn't be happier with my experience here. My wife and I and our parents all went in. Alan and the tech (whose name I didn't catch) were both very nice, and wonderful to deal with. I had a great experience at First Look Sonogram. I came in at 14 weeks pregnant hoping to get one decent pic of the baby for my pregnancy announcement. The ones my doctor's office gave me were blurry and didn't have much detail. I had already done the blood test through my doctor but I also wanted to do the ultrasound gender determination JUST IN CASE! The tech had no problems determining the gender of my baby which did match the results from the blood test. The photos she got of the baby were much more detailed compared to what my doctor's office was able to come up with and she was able to get multiple views of the baby. The room is large, dim and very comfortable. The tech was super nice and seemed to know her stuff. The doctor who was onsite was also very nice and answered all my questions patiently. I originally came in wanting a 3D ultrasound but they recommended a 2D because the baby would be too small at 14 weeks. Overall I had a great experience and will definitely be back later for the 3D/4D ultrasound. read more

We had a great time at First Look Sonogram. It was such an intimate and beautiful experience in their viewing room. The technician was friendly and answered our questions. The seat for me was warm and comfortable. It didn't take long for them to check us in once we picked the soundtrack we wanted for our DVD. One of our family members who loved cross country couldn't make it to our session and we were allowed to FaceTime them in order to partake of this special moment. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and when baby # 2 makes an appearance I will come back! read more

They were so super helpful and kind. I did not have to wait more than 20 minutes. Also, they were kind enough to bring donuts for their patients. Super grateful for the attention, kindness, and information they give their patients. Got my results in 48 hours and I did not have to pay fast track. I would totally recommend this place for any pregnant women. read more

The technician who performs the ultra sound is amazing. She is very sweet. However the man that run the front is very rude. I was schedule for my first apt with first touch and my baby kept coming his face. They let you do redos if they can't get the images. However, redos are only onWednesdays. I work Monday-Friday, which is why I chose a facility that could accommodate me during the weekend. The man was very stubborn and after going back and forth finally agreed for me to come in on the following Sunday at 12:00. I arrived and was told my apt was not until 1:30... umm that's not what we agreed to. I now have to reschedule for a different day and push it back another week. I'm very annoyed because he made such a big deal about me not being able to come during the week. read more

This place was amazing! My husband and I couldn't wait to find out our baby's gender at 18 weeks (even though we had an anatomy scan scheduled for a few weeks later), so we decided to come here. We only paid for the gender detection (the cheapest service), but we got to see the baby for a really good length of time, from so many different angles. We have the most adorable sonogram of him sucking his thumb! I was feeling like it was a bit impatient of me to come here so soon before our diagnostic anatomy scan that was covered by insurance, but I am so glad we did - we actually were able to see the baby much better and get better sonograms from here than we were from a perinatal specialist (just to add, I totally know that the point of a diagnostic anatomy scan is to see the baby in cute poses, but still). We're considering coming back for a 4-D ultrasound package soon because we had such a great experience, and we've recommended this place to pregnant friends. read more

I went in at 14 weeks for the gender and to see my baby! The tech was so very nice and took her time trying to show us good angles of our baby. The place is very clean. First Look Sonogram - The gender photos. - Diagnostic Imaging Near Me - Redondo Beach, California

I came 3 months ago for gender determination and it was time to finally see my baby boy. Then tech again was great, she's engaged in the session and even double checked to see of one of my babies feet were clubbed (like my physician thought) it wasn't and she showed my exactly how it wasn't. I was a little disappointed because I didn't have time to eat so my baby wasn't as active as I would've like to see but good images were captured with me rolling on my side. I will more than likely come back in 2 more weeks and make sure I eat first! As always Alan was nice and pleasant and kept me informed on my picture and DVD letting me know "you got a couple minutes left" etc. I love this place, just hate it's my last baby but I WILL indeed keep the referrals coming. Thank you Alan and tech (I always forget her name) read more

I had a really good experience from booking my appointment and upon arrival. Really clean and on a cute street really close to the beach. Allen was very real and friendly, made me feel welcome right when we walked in. I was 30 weeks at our appt and our little girl was so cute and the Tech whom was also really nice got some really amazing shots. The room fit my whole family and the kids. We had a total of 10 people and we were all very comfortable, they had 2 big couches. The only thing that bummed me out was my boyfriend stayed up really late making sure our music was all set so it could be recorded to the dvd, and when we got there it didnt work. But thank goodness he is very tech savvy so he is going to add it later for us. But even when this happened it was still awesome being able to see our little girl smiling and sucking her thumb :) . Awesome little place, will tell everyone I know thats having a baby to come here!! read more

This place has gone down hill since we did this with our other kids. Pretty disappointed after our ultrasound. We took our kids so they could see the baby. We waited in the waiting room for about 30 minutes past our appt while a person was getting their ultrasound done (for over 30 minutes because they were in there before we showed up) Then, the tech came out and grabbed another family who came in after us without checking if we were next or not. We had to say something and they had to get that family out of the room so we could go. I had explained we knew the gender via blood test but wanted it confirmed and mostly wanted the ultrasound for our kids to SEE the baby. They said it will be great for them. Granted it's supposed to be a 5 minute ultrasound but it was probably 5 minutes from when we walked in to when we walked out. Definitely not a full 5 minute ultrasound. The tech barely spoke to us and it was clear they were in a rush. The waiting room was packed so I realize they were busy but after waiting 30 minutes and. Our kids being excited to see the baby she basically showed up the penis, heard the HB and glanced at the full body image. It was disappointing to say the least for the price paid and the amount of time we waited. 5.5 years ago we went to find out the gender of our twins and it was amazing. Not sure if ownership has changed but the quality of service sure has...... read more

Booked a last minute appointment and the man on the phone was super helpful and nice. The facility itself was very well kept and comfortable. Ultrasound tech was absolutely wonderful. We are having a gender reveal so she was mindful of having us look away while checking the gender and confirmed it a few times for herself. She was kind enough to put the gender sonograms in the sealed envelope as well rather than hand it all over to us. Very, very impressed and would highly recommend to anyone! read more

Although the ultrasound itself was amazing and I highly recommend having one done during your pregnancy, I will never go back to this place and suggest that others go elsewhere as well. The ultrasound technician was very inappropriate and unprofessional! She was flirting with my partner the entire time and it made me very uncomfortable and created a bad memory of what should have been nothing less than a beautiful experience to share with my fiancé. When I say flirting I mean the entire time, comment after comment directed at how good looking he was in detail, feature by feature! The most disgusting part was when she felt it was acceptable to share with us that she "still has a pretty vagina" since she has only delivered by cesarean! Ew!!! DO NOT GO HERE read more

This place is so amazing for what they do. When I heard you can get your babies gender read as early as 14 weeks, I was definitely in but of course a bit skeptical. But for 50 bucks I thought well why not? So I tried and made an appt for 14 weeks. I arrived and was greeted by super friendly staff and after filling out some paper work was seen right away. The tech was very nice and sweet and explained everything to me that I was seeing on the big screen and answered all my questions. She told us a girl!!! I loved the place so much I went back for a 4d and it was a true picture of her face like if there was a camera in my womb. When I see 4ds from other places the baby looks blurry or like a blob but this place is spot on! (I will try and post the comparison picture here on yelp). Any ways she confirmed it was a girl because im such a worry wart and boy was she right! I now have a 3 year old little diva! I am going back tomorrow for my second babies gender reading and I am so beyond excited!!! Hoping its the same experience I have got the other 2 times :) Once again this place amazed me! Turns out im Once again having another little girl. But anyway, I got the same lady as the first time which I was thrilled about. staff was friendly as ever.
