It's difficult to write a review about a place like this. We come here because something is…read morehurting. This place earns a 4 because of the office staff, nurses, nurse practitioner Susan and Dr Jiminez. Not everything they have done has helped but their friendliness and professionalism are above average for the medical profession. Kimberly at the front desk greets us like we are dear friends. (We don't know her outside of this office) Kelly who is one of the nurses who helps prep and watches patients after procedures. She acts like the patient she is with is the most important person on the planet at that moment. Another amazing person is L. She usually sets follow up appointments and is the last person whose smile you see when leaving. Awesome people. You may or may not get pain relief here but they will do their best. The main reason they didn't get a 5 is the wait and the waiting room. Those chairs are uncomfortable. Other patients have also mentioned those chairs. They all look alike but some seem to have been sat in too many times perhaps by very heavy ppl. There is usually a wait, sometimes more than an hour. Seems like the office manager could do a little better with managing appointment times. Or maybe like most places, corporate controls that... I don't understand why they allow hurting people long wait times. The waiting room is always clean. Free wifi, TV and of course magazines. One last thing, it is difficult to contact a nurse or dr by phone with comments or questions and the 2 times I spoke with them on the phone it didn't seem to go well. I do recommend them because I believe overall they care. I'd like to vent about insurance companies & pharmaceuticals but I'll resist and just remind you to advocate for your own health, take care of yourself and be careful. BTW Riverside Pain Physicians has several locations in NE Fl.

I had one prior to my appointment, despite it being a soft tissue/ tendon issue, which does not show on an X-Ray. I met with Dr. Hort. I brought a copy of an MRI and report with me for the consultation, which I held next to me. Dr. Hort did not review it during the consult. I left it with the office for them to download it for review. I was sent for an ultrasound, which I was waited for the results. It was a week later when I called to ask for the results. I stated that I should've received a courtesy call instead of being left in the dark. I was told they do not call patients for results. It would be discussed at follow up appointment. I stated that is just another way to bill me, and traveling there isn't convenient. I asked why aren't there any patient notes in my portal? No notes, no tests, no documentation at all. Two weeks since that call, still no report, nothing mailed to me, nothing in my portal. Dr. Hort might be a good practitioner. Unfortunately, between the initial consult and the lack of customer staff support, leaves much to be desired.
