I spoke to the roofer directly, who got us a quote after the job was done. We decided to keep waiting. Then a wind storm came through a couple of months later.Shingles started to fall off our roof. The house was well over 10-years old, so there was no way around it. Our roof needed to be replaced. So we did our due diligence and gathered quotes, and decided to go with JDM. Their quote was very competitive, but the actual service they delivered was worth more than they charged. Jim (the owner) and his crew was very busy, but they fit us in because our roof really was starting to fall apart. They literally started our roof after a neighbour began their roof replacement using a competitor, and JDM finished before them. And they didn't rush the job. They started at a reasonably early hour and stayed as late as they safely could. When it was done, not only did their lead roofer inspect the job, but Jim himself came by and inspected it as well. They cleaned up everything really well. I couldn't find a single nail anywhere around our house from the old roof, which was important because we have several small dogs that we love dearly, but are so daft because they try and swallow anything and everything. JDM obviously take pride in their work, and their many 5-star reviews on Google (and now here) are well earned. Cannot recommend them highly enough! Great work, great price, great service.

Right around the beginning of December Aaron paid Fidel Ortiz or Miguel Perez, we are not sure what his actual name is... Half down to put a new roof on our house we have a signed contract and a receipt for the money that he gave him. The materials were supposed to be delivered in 7 to 10 business days. After week three we had heard nothing from him and no materials were delivered. Aaron begin calling, texting, emailing no word. We called a mutual friend that recommended him. She reached out to him and he called us immediately. December 28 and 29th he and his crew came and tore off half of our roof. They left their truck parked out front of our house for a week, then came last Friday and remove the other half of our roof. Still, no materials were delivered here as they were supposed to be. As you all know, we had a storm this week. I've attached one video that absolutely does not do the amount of water coming into our house justice. So of course, we begin to call, text, email him with no response. So once again, I reach out to our mutual friend she gives him a call, he calls Aaron back left a voicemail saying he's been out of town. He didn't have his phone. What's the problem why are you calling our friend? As the water pours into our home. He shows up yesterday does a few things on the roof. Aaron leaves work because he sees him on our cameras, they talk and Aaron voice records what he says. He says that the materials came, but were the wrong color (where did they come? They were supposed to come here) that's why they aren't on the roof. Aaron says at this point I don't care what color they are, just put our roof on, he said OK let me go check on that. He has not returned. Left one voice message saying he had a flat tire. Aaron called the company that he ordered the materials through and there is no order for our address. We texted him last night and let him know that we would be moving forward if we didn't hear from him by the morning he has been warned. We have not heard from him. Please do not use this company let every single contractor real estate agent family, member anyone you know not to use this company. It's the middle of winter, and we are ready to go into the coldest spell we've had and we have no roof on our house! Anyone has any idea how to get this process started please private message me and I will pass it on.

About a year later, we had a branch fall on our roof, causing a leak. He answered my call that night, recalled the colour of roofing we had, and was onsite the next morning to repair the damage. We have also had him come and clean the gutters and roof, and inspect for damage seasonally. He cleans up the yard and driveway well afterward, sometimes better than it was! Last week I hired Pedro and Peter's Shack Shine franchise to wash the interior and exterior windows of my 2300 sq. ft. house, for a considerable price. The two technicians that Pedro left on site were polite and responsive to my concerns. However, the two window washing techs were not experienced or trained enough to perform the service to the quality of what any homeowner would expect for a nearly $1,000 job. During their time on-site I noticed and had to bring to their attention entire windows, hard to access windows, and screens that had been entirely missed, screens that were not replaced, and spots that were attempted and left, and streaks and water spots that remained on the exterior windows and simply left behind. The worst aspect of the entire experience was with Pedro the manager himself. I attempted to deal with Pedro directly by texting him during the service provision letting him know that quality control was needed and that he should return to the house. All Pedro replied was that he was in touch with the window washers, he assured that I would be satisfied with the quality, and said he would not be returning. After that response Pedro ghosted me on the text string and did not respond to any further texts. With a house photographer due to arrive at my home I was forced to spend the next 60+ minutes walking around the home repeatedly and coaching the two window washers myself to complete the windows to a satisfactory level. I asked for a discount to account for my time that it took me to direct and coach Pedro's employees. I might have been satisfied with a $100-150 discount. But, between Pedro and Peter the franchise owner, all I was offered was $25 for my negative experience. Neither Pedro by text afterwards, nor Peter over the phone a week later, would back down and resolve the situation to my satisfaction. They both simply made excuses such as "no one should have to supervise their own job, you may have misunderstood our process," and from Peter, "we never leave a supervisor on the job, the technicians on the job are qualified." I hope Brian Scudamore the CEO of Shack Shine reads this review. He should not be impressed. Like I said, I don't recommend hiring these guys.

Estimate was accepted & he came for pressure wash. But as soon the power wash was completed (not a good job), he refused to provide painting services. On asking why he's refusing he told me that it took him more time than anticipated & still i am complaining about the spots being missed. Well he is the one who estimated time & cost. He simply refused the other job just for showing him few missed spots (I have a whole lot of pictures of the other areas not cleaned properly). Then he complained about quoting me low & there's not enough margin & i am still complaining. Think logically, you looked at the house from top to bottom, talked about everything that will be done, figured out things & estimated it. I am paying almost $1300 to get this single job done (out of 2) as was promised to me. If it's taking longer, it's your problem & not mine. If you have not done your job properly, i have the right to complaint. You promised, you deliver. He was really upset and while packing up he called his bookkeeper to invoice me & told me specifically that it needs to be paid off the same day. After an hour of leaving my house he texted me that if i don't pay him by the end of the same day, he will be placing a lien on my house for bad debt. Seriously!!!!! He just wasted my time & money. I could have gotten the same service done for cheaper & he kept boasting about giving me good deal. If this business is not aware of the fact, please note customers always get quotes from different places before finalizing a deal. So you were not the cheapest. He explained to me that when you have quite a bit of moss on the roof that some moss pieces will cover and plug the drain. He cleaned and unplugged my gutters as well. I want to say thank you for taking the time to explain everything to me as well as making my roof so clean. I would definately recommend this company. I also asked them for a exterior painting quote which I will have them do as well . Thanks again great job
