I'm vaguely familiar with ballroom and can certainly say I've watched plenty of YouTube videos. I'm definitely glad I came here because I realized a few things. 1) As I tried to put together my routine, I realized I knew only a few basic moves, so everything became repetitive and boring. 2) I don't know how to teach my husband how to lead. That's an argument waiting to happen. 3) Really cool lifts and moves have a certain way to do them properly so they can be performed safely. (Don't want to fall/be dropped or pull a muscle.). I had an awesome wedding dance (to the whole song). Lots of compliments! After the wedding was over, I had a lot of fun and came back as a student. The hubby didn't join, so I got to explore dancing on my own with fellow students and teachers. Once you have a program going, you actually get a lot included! They have a TON of group classes of all different styles and every Friday is a dance practice party. They have several themed nights, so if you want to dress up, this is your opportunity. The teachers are so awesome and supportive! I did a solo performance, and all the teachers flock up to you after and congratulate you! Really gets you excited to perform again! If you have a competitive bone in your body, you have plenty of opportunities to showcase and perform at larger ballroom competition events, some local (Bellevue), others international like Cabo and Italy! What's also cool is Arthur Murray is an international franchise. I have a cousin in Ontario, Canada, so while he takes classes there, we can meet up at one of the Arthur Murray international events and see each other at competition! I love this group! It's definitely an investment, but it makes me happy, scratches my competitive and performing spirit, and helps with my posture! I love my Arthur Murray family!

Once we moved to our new studio, we also realized how much she had actually been lacking at Vibe. She didn't know basic terms or movements. We feel like we wasted almost 2 years for a studio to teach our daughter nothing.

I had no background in dance and didn't research any of the options. We completely got lucky that the studio closest to our home was this local gem. Within the first year or two it became more obvious that my daughter was gaining a lot of skills and developing into a successful dancer. Over the last 13 years my daughter has added hours and hours of weekly dance to her schedule, spending most of her time at her second home with her dance family. It has been healthy, supportive, challenging and transformative. My daughter has seriously focused on dance, benefiting from classes in every style (ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, musical theater, hip hop, contemporary) and had great success on their competitive dance team, earning scholarships and invitations to many programs. This even included winning a national competition in 2019. Since the pandemic the faculty has gone above and beyond to keep students safe, connected and progressing, with all of the changing requirements. All of the staff have been wonderful mentors for my children. But the owners Shelley and Kary are incredibly committed, talented artists who take pride in every detail of their studio, classes, productions and responsibilities to care and teach our children. I have been going to this establishment for 16 years and I could not be happier. The club put a lot of money into recent renovations and upgrades. It is up to standards with state-of-the-art equipment. Whether a person chooses to use the machinery for cardiovascular purposes, muscle strength, or weight loss, this is the ideal place to achieve your fitness goals! It simply is not possible to walk out the door without feeling a profound sense of accomplishment and better overall health. The best part of all is the staff. I have had Cerebral Palsy all my life. I have had to make do with one wheelchair to use both inside my home and in my car. It was in bad shape. There is a wonderful maintenance lady by the name of Jen H. surprised me and gave me a cool wheelchair that she had at home. This chair was brand new and is a great chair for me to utilize at home. But the kindness and compassion did not stop there. My old wheelchair was in desperate need of an overhaul. She went ahead and ordered me a new seat for the chair and new armrests. Now, I can feel more at ease knowing I have extra reinforcements with new and sturdy material. Now I have both a wheelchair for my house and one for my car that I can use at the gym. That made my life so much easier. Jenn and a courteous staff member by the name of John Y. volunteered their time and installed both items for me right there at the club. The staff is so caring and friendly, and they do put the customer first as you can see. There is also a friendly lady who works at the front desk named Jenny V. who helps me put my wheelchair in my car when I am ready to leave at the end of the day. The staff at this club makes me feel like I matter. They are like family to me. I am committed to being a lifelong member of this gym. This girl who calls herself a manager was really pushy for me to pay extra 95.00 to upgrade my membership. Not only that but she kept saying how much muscle i lost from last time I was there and just i felt like she was pulling me down instead of encouraging me or raising me up. Stop pushing people and instead listen to them. As a pyschology major I know what you are saying, but when someone tells you they can't right now just accept that... But instead she kept pushing and pushing. I understand you want to make your commmision I know how it all works this is not my first rodeo. Now i am pretty discouraged all over again. I signed up so I can try to slowly get back into working out after my car accident and physical therapy. But if people tell you something you listen not keep pushing.. .. Lets say you go to the car dealrship... You tell him I'm here just to look around and see what they have for my price range. All of a sudden someone jumps on you and keeps pushing you and pushing you to the point where you turn around and walk away. I hope this will be a lesson for this organization. If you are there for the money ,then you are not here for the people!
