What sets First Class Bagel Cafe apart from most of the competition are their unique offerings, like the craisin-feta almond balsamic quinoa and the honey-bacon sriracha cream cheese. The quinoa is very tasty, and the cream cheese is a flavor that I've never seen at other bagel cafes. They also carry Nova Scotia lox, which sells for $55/lb. Nicole was my server today, and she sliced the lox with real skill. It was smooth, fresh, and absolutely delicious, pairing perfectly with my plain mini bagel. Their flavored iced coffees are another highlight, brewed from flavored beans instead of adding flavored syrup to regular beans. My favorites are Cinnamon Hazelnut and French Vanilla. There's also a sit-down area, and somehow the cafe always feels calm and serene, even when it's busy. If you're in East Northport, this spot is definitely worth a visit! read more

If you don't mind waiting forever because for them talking with each other is more important than you the customer. They have no problem walking away from you when you are next to go do something else and act like they never saw you. They are beyond rude to customers and don't mind saying things under their breath about you! The bagels are good but the experience with them isn't worth it. Many better places to go. read more

Visiting the Island for a weekend and wanted some bagels to go home with. This establishment is easy access before heading to the highway so we stopped in. Signage is large and clear with plenty of parking. Sandwich board outside the door as well as inside clear and easy to read options. LOTS to look at desserts abound in one while side of their establishment. They have a Cannoli bar to build your own Cannoli, have never seen this before. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches and a half dozen bagels. I walked around taking pictures while we waited for our sandwiches. We ordered a bacon egg and cheese as well as a sausage egg and cheese and they both were huge compared to the sandwiches we are used to in Maine. After taking pictures I watched in awe as they made the bagels. Pulling them from the boiling water, placing in racks with the seeds on bottom and then added on top. The oven is a rotating shelf until the size of a large pizza oven. When ready to go into the oven he opens the door slightly to see what shelf is empty then fully opens the door and slides the bagels in to be toasted nice and brown and crispy, YUM! People are saying how expensive this place is compared to other places and honestly all places are expensive. Ease of access and good quality go a long way. Yes, we will be back next visit. Thank you First Class. read more

The cherry crumb pie I purchased for the holidays was awful and inedible. there was at least 2" of completely loose and bad tasting crumbs dumped on top of about 1/2" of bad tasting cherry filling. Order Turkey, salami, lettuce, tomato, Mayo Mustard and banana peppers can you spot the mistake An actual slice of banana on my sandwich?!? So I'd makes this a lower review if that order mistake wasn't so funnys so I'll add a star for humor. On my way to the Hamptons today and stopped in for a sandwich to eat on the beach. Ordered a Turkey and Salami hero, lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard and BANANA Peppers. The sandwich is got had BANANAS and PEPPERS . Like you cut up a banana and didn't think it was strange enough to clarify?!? Whatever there was so much banana mixed in the mayo it was a mess to take off so I swallowed my shame as well as this very bizarre sandwich Otherwise everything looks really good if a little expensive but I'd give them another try. Just no more banana in my turkey please. read more

Paid $45 for 1 simple sandwich, 1 wrap and 2 drink and 2 chips. Wrap was inedible due to the wrapping and it was a complete mess, didn't taste great either of the 2 bites taken. Sandwich wasn't much better it was 1 slice of American, 1 tomato and 1 piece of lettuce. Threw both out without eating. Very dissapointed in this very expensive experience. Will not return. We came here on a weekend morning and it was pretty bustling. But I looked at the reviews in the shop and was surprised that it was so low. Some of the people in the reviews had complained of cold sandwiches or getting the wrong item. I, unfortunately, experienced both of these issues here. We waited in line for our food and it took about 15-20 minutes just to get our food. We ordered a lot of bagels here one morning and we were very disappointed. I think the fellow taking orders was going too fast and I had a bad feeling when he didn't repeat back our orders. Over half of what we ordered was wrong. First of all, 3 people in our party ordered coffee and 2 asked for cream and sugar. There was no cream or sugar in 2 of the coffees and so we had to get in line to ask for some more. Then once we received our food, one person noticed that his order was missing the potatoes that he had ordered. He said that it doesn't usually happen. When I got my sandwich, there was only bacon and eggs, and I said that was the wrong sandwich and that I ordered an egg and cheese bagel, so they had to remake it. When I got my egg and cheese bagel, the cheese was not melted and inedible. It was not good so I had to ask for another one. When I brought it to the counter, I showed the staff member and he didn't seem to know what was wrong. I told him the sandwich was cold and the cheese was not melted like everyone else's bagel sandwich was. So they made it again. We waited about 15 minutes for our food at first and then I had to wait an extra 10-15 minutes for my sandwiches that were made incorrectly. I didn't even get to eat my sandwich here because of the multiple mistakes and us needing to get to our destination that day. I think there needs to be better training of staff and more attentiveness to orders. They did not seem apologetic for the messed up orders or that they did anything wrong. Pay attention to your reviews. They seem to have a pattern of mistakes so I think they just need to be more careful with preparing sandwiches and making sure people are getting what they are paying for. read more

Tasty bagels...not so tasty staff :( Usually a pretty long line which is fine...the bagels here are worth the wait. The staff seems to not want to be there. Not very engaging which I get if you're busy. I've been in there with no line and the staff is still iffy at best. Big bakery section with lots of goodies...cookies, cakes, pies, etc. I come here if I have to but prefer other bagels in the area. read more

So I've been back quite often and I have to be honest. For the most part the staff here are good. The food is decent albeit hit or Miss. the other day I got a bacon egg and cheese on a roll and the roll was hard and it put me in the bathroom for the remainder of the day. Is that cause for a bad review? No. Because you should know full well what you're walking into. Sandwiches and bagels are typically fresh. The service while snappy is good and friendly. I'm always back so until they give me true food poisoning (throwing up) I'll give them five stars. read more

Just about had it with First Class Bagels. Paid over $6 for a ham egg and cheese wrap with avocado. Get the wrap where the cheese isn't melted and no avocado. Go up to the counter and say it was supposed to have avocado and if I was charged for it I want a solution. Guy says I can make you a new one I said I don't have time to wait again I said can I get a small drink he said yes. He asks the boss and comes back and says the kid who made my sandwich didn't charge me for avocado and they can't give me a drink. I said how would I know that he didn't charge me for avocado I didn't get a receipt and when originally asked if there was supposed to be avocado he said yes. The last time I will be going there their prices have jacked way up for low quality egg sandwiches and customer service. read more

To the owner: You should hire better employees that don't give their bad attitudes to customers that are literally just trying to order. And also, tell your older male employee to stop telling customers they aren't helping and have no part in their visit to "smile" ESPECIALLY if they are women because we don't owe you anything! Also the food was pretty bad too. read more

A friend recommended this place a year or so ago, and at first I liked it a lot. Breakfast sandwiches were quite good. I've tried coming in a couple of times lately for lunch and have not had a good experience. They offer a zillion sandwiches, many of them that sound really interesting, but the employees behind the counter don't really seem familiar with whichever one you end up ordering. And yes, slow as molasses. yesterday was the last straw for me with this place. I decided to try one of their new sandwich creations, which consisted of a breaded chicken cutlet, prosciutto, mozzarella, and peppers on a pressed hero. Sounds good, right? I get home only to find that the chicken is completely inedible: tough, chewy, grizzly and old tasting. I had to pull all the chicken out and throw it away. The rest of the sandwich was OK but paying $20 for a sandwich, I expect high quality, tender chicken cutlet, not this garbage. Really disappointed. even worse, their website does not offer any way to email them and I'm not one for phone calls. I left a message on their Facebook but didn't hear back. Sadly, you lost me as a customer when you tried to feed me that trash. read more

Very disspointed. I got a bec w/ avocado and a hashbrown on a roll. I knew avocado would be extra but it came out to be close to $12. Wtf!? This sandwich was cold! Bacon was cold, the cheese wasn't even melted, bread was cold. Like was the cook in a bad mood? It was 9am so it wasnt long after they opened and it was barely busy. Smh. Not that, that should be everything an excuse to get shitty food but I can tell the cook ain't give 3 f***s while making my sandwich. It hurts bc I try to cook at home the majority of the time bc eating out is just so expensive now and days. The one day I decided to treat myself I get this? Really hurts my pocket. $12 could have gone towards something else I could have given my kids. I will not be going here again. Also lady who took my order asked if I want s$p or ketchup. I said ketchup please. When I got home I noticed she didn't even add the ketchup. No napkins. Come on! Smh. read more

This place seriously needs better management. While they have a huge display of pastries and cakes... when you look at them up close they look sloppily put together and stale. The cold salad window had several flies. There was an older male staff worker handling bagels without gloves while dealing with other foods. The older woman who served me had to write down my bagel choices in case they didn't have my first choice (the bagel shelf was right next to her and it was 10 am on a weekday). She decided to just make the bagel without telling me which bagel she had "found". When I realized she had already started putting cream cheese it was too late for me to ask for it toasted. I had assumed she would have told me which bagel she had gotten or ask if I wanted it toasted first. When I went closer to the counter to pay I saw that the bagel I had initially asked for was in fact in the shelf. I pointed it out to her and her response was that they were in the wrong shelf. This was my second time coming because I felt like giving them another chance after having a bad first experience. Never again for me. The bagel ended up being very hard and not good. The sun-dried tomato cream cheese was very crumbly and seemed old as well. The bagels at Costco are a thousand times better. They have many delicious sounding flavors listed by the bagels but a lot of them aren't even in stock. There was a nice gentleman at the counter serving customers who he seemed to know on a first name basis. He was smiling and friendly. But I can't believe folks actually come here regularly. They need better quality control and servers more knowledgeable on what's on the shelves. read more

***CALL IN YOUR ORDER IF YOU MUST COME HERE*** Welp.... I stopped back in because I'm working in the neighborhood. NOTHING has changed I get a 30 min lunch and I lose a solid 15-20 mins WAITING ON LINE. Legit- SLOWEST service, EVER! They have no intentions are putting a little fire under their ass. Including myself and others, I've walked off line because it is mind blowing how slow this place is. The food is great, salads are awesome, no complaints with quality of food. Prices!? Another Long Island bagel place. They're all the same too me. Bacon, egg and cheese with a medium coffee was $7, so I guess that's normal pricing too. We bought a 'crumb cake' from here and it was completely dry to the bottom. It was disappointing because we were celebrating someone's birthday and cut into a dry cake. I brought it back the next day and the manager was gone at 3pm. The nice staff called the manager but they refused to give any kind of acknowledgment, compensation or even a small credit. For a neighborhood place, this place feels completely unfriendly and difficult. I highly recommend to go elsewhere. read more

Very nice clean place with lots of options. Employees were all friendly, too. But, I will say, the prices vs you get are a little bit much for me... I paid $12.50 for a chicken salad wrap with lettuce. I like the idea that they give you a side salad & a pickle, but my wrap was a wholeee lot of lettuce and quite light on the chicken salad. I could pay $2-3 less elsewhere and get twice as much. Flavor is good. I may try one more time. This just felt like a little bit of a miss for me. read more

Place has great sandwiches and pastries. Probably the closest I would get to a Brooklyn bagel in LI. But good luck getting speedy service during rush hour. Despite them having so many people behind the counter taking orders and cooking, they still manage to take forever. What baffles my mind is them having multiple registers, few at the back where you would place your sandwich orders and another at the front where you would pay for deserts/pastries. Yet you have to wait the ridiculously long sandwich line, to get a cake to go. Walked out and drove to Park bake shop, paid more for the cake but didn't have to wait in line for more than 2 minutes. read more

I know , Dix Hills is a rich area. But not every customer that comes here is rich. First Class seems to be using "inflation" as a springboard . Got my usual; BLT on a plain bagel and a drink (chocolate milk) . I was predicting this to be more money than when I was here last year . So I took out a FIVE and a TEN. I figured the BLT would be about $10.00 and the drink would be about $3.00 add tax and I still have a dollar for any mistakes . Right? WRONG! My total was $18.00 and a few pennies ! What ? Now - I will say that my sandwich was perfect . There was a lot of bacon as well as a WHOLE pickle and a small side of coleslaw (which - I did not really ask for ). Did the whole pickle and coleslaw bring me up to $18.00 ? The drink ALONE was $4.00 (normally this is $3.00 everywhere else) . Don't get me wrong- everything was delicious - (I could not finish the whole pickle). But the total cost had me paying for "bells and whistles" that I did not ask for . I would have been happier with just the sandwich and drink for around $12.00 / $14.00 which is now the normal. Seriously may be going to Bagel Chalet in the future instead . When people feel like they are being taken advantage of-- they do not forget it. read more

I am a low-carb guy, so can't comment on bagels or pastries. But their chopped and prepared salads are absolutely "first class" and reasonably priced. I get 1-2 chopped salads there per week and always take advantage of the limitless combinations I can come up with. As for prepared salads, I recommend super egg, egg avocado, balsamic chicken, dill chicken, and sriracha tuna. Lots of reviewers complain about long waits. I guess they're not familiar with the nature of quality Long Island bagel shops during rush hours. read more

This place used to be good, but these days it's awful! Not only are the bagels mediocre, the baked goods are terrible. Yes, they're enormous in size but all too often are stale to the point of being inedible. (I ordered a cheese danish last weekend and upon biting into it discovered the cheese was moldy!! UGHH!!!!) Plus the service is horrible -- there's always a long line because they're understaffed and most of the kids they have working there have no idea what they're doing. Plus they placed a fraudulent charge on my credit card last fall. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! read more

I love the selection of everything here from baked goods to spreads to their lunch options however they are very slow. I tried to call ahead and was on hold for 10 minutes. I opted for just going inside and ordering myself and it was a half hour wait from placing my order to getting my food. After all that, the order was messed up and I brought it to their attention but I didn't want to wait any longer for a new sandwich. I tried it again tried to call ahead to be told that I can only place an order online through chow now. I tried to select toast for my sandwich but the website only had options for bagels which I didn't realize until I received the sandwich. Overall I enjoy the food but the wait is always long and they haven't gotten my order correct. It's just scrambled eggs and American cheese on whole wheat toast. This would be my favorite place if they could just figure out a better system or at the very least get my order right. I don't mind the wait as long as I get what I order. read more
