They have reconnected my incoming electrical after a branch ripped my service line and meter off the exterior wall and most recently they replaced a circuit breaker and faulty porch light, installed new wiring to a portion of my kitchen and installed a new thermostat (including new wire from box to furnace). Both my refrigerator and freezer were warm. The VinTech technician came out but stated that he could not access the freezer panel and recommended that the entire built-in unit be pulled out. This was extremely concerning to me. The refrigerator is a built-in GE Monogram, and the components needed for diagnosis and repair are accessible from within the unit. There is nothing behind the unit that would logically require it to be pulled out to access the freezer components. I requested a second opinion through my home warranty. The second technician was able to properly access the freezer, diagnose the issue as a failed freezer evaporator fan motor, and replace the motor--without pulling the built-in refrigerator out, all in 1 hour. The difference between the two service calls was significant. The second technician was able to complete the diagnosis and repair that the first technician said could not be accessed. If you have a high-end or expensive appliance, particularly a GE Monogram, I would not recommend allowing VinTech to service it based on my experience. I would strongly recommend requesting a different service provider rather than risking an incorrect diagnosis or unnecessary work to the appliance. I am grateful that I requested a second opinion, because otherwise I could have been left with an unresolved appliance and an expensive recommendation to pull out a built-in unit unnecessarily.

Sean and TJ arrived within the scheduled time window and immediately began work. A few hours later and we now have a new microwave installed, two ceiling fans, a light fixture and a new switch for the kitchen light. I am so relieved to have a working home, finally. The previous owners had some really odd wiring put in and had the ceiling fans on dimmer switches, which is a great way to burn out the fan, so the dimmers were replaced with simple on/off switches. They also rewired the clothes dryer and put it on its own circuit. I'm very impressed. This has been one of the better experiences I've had with contractors. Sean and I also had some wild coincidences - the previous owner of my home moved and Fish Electric did some work on their new home a few years ago, then comes to the house they used to live in to finally correct all the electrical issues, which we had been putting off for years. High praise for Fish Electric! They're like doctors of electricity. You would do very well by contracting them as they will not let you down. They're very confident and proud of the work they do, which is much appreciated since we've had quite a few other contractors here for other issues who didn't seem to care one way or the other. By explaining what electrical problems we were experiencing, he was already able to provide a ballpark estimate of what the cost would likely be.
