If you want to try an awesome place. Head to Erie PA. On Peach street is a restaurant called Firestone,s. The menu is well thought out and selections are crafted to perfection. On big green eggs, or if pizza is what you want, it's fired in a brick oven. The kitchen runs like a Swiss watch. We started with a charcuterie board. They were a selection of meats and cheeses, olives. The meats and cheeses come from the butcher shop that is part of this business. Next was Chicken Bruschetta Bianca Pizza, NY strip with manchego cheese mashed potatoes and rosemary-herb butter and Gordon's Smash burger With truffle fries , All of which were excellent. We detoured from 90 for some food to go, and definitely worth the stop, getting very tired of the same chain choices. The spicy fried chicken sandwich was great, crunchy with zing on a soft roll. The best restaurant in Erie. Last night we tried the pizza special, salmon, rigatoni, and black bean soup. The salmon was perfectly cooked and so were the vegetables with it. Everything was incredible. One dish was better than the next. We come here frequently and usually order the specials because they are always so good. It's a relaxed atmosphere so we feel comfortable bringing our kids who usually love most of the dishes as well. The service is also great and everyone is super friendly and attentive. read more

I've been wanting to try this place out for a long time because of the reviews. Went with a group. Facility Very cool looking place. Very modern and comfortable looking. From seating you have a view of kitchen(which is nice) where they use a bunch of big green eggs to grill and they have a nice stone pizza oven. HOWEVER, they didn't put a vestibule or second set of entry doors into the place. So every time someone enters or exits, you get a blast of Erie winter into the place. Was an unnecessary detractor. There's obviously space to put a second set of doors in. Strange decision in Erie, PA. Service Was good..nothing spectacular, nothing wrong. Drinks - looked good but no one had anything to drink at our table so no review. Food. I'd give it 3 stars with a need to go again and try other things. Was eager to try the pizza because it looks like they should be good since they have a stone oven and all. But it was not great. The crust wasn't even crispy. The bottom was barely toasted and it was very soggy. Sauce was a bit bland but the pizza had a baseball bat of truffle. Balance was not right. Shells with sauce was great. Would order again. Steak sandwich was acceptable. Good amount of meat that was nicely cooked. Nice bun. Chimmichuri sauce lacked a bit of salt. Would not order it again. Burger was enjoyed. Well made. We will go back. This was my second time there and boy, it did not disappoint. I got the steak sandwhich and the warm bread was perfectly toasted and yet still soft, the steak was so tender. It's a different setting than most places. A butcher on one side, small restaurant in the middle and a brew station on the other end. This place is like a secret for me but I figured it was time to give a review. Came for lunch, love this place. Super cute, love the open concept, server was super nice. We got the smash burger and the daily prime rib pizza. Burger was really good, cooked perfect and definitely can tell it's homemade. The pizza was good but didn't love it. It was overwhelming with peppers but really lacked enough of the prime rib with it so felt the favor just was ok. Everything is homemade which is amazing. Overall I'd definitely recommend and return. This place is amazing. The food is fantastic. Chef thinks outside the box and layers flavors till your tastebuds are dancing with every bite. I was actually sad when i finished eating. We were at Firestone this past Saturday. We made reservations and when we arrived we were told we were at the bar. 3 people so disappointed. Selection was minimal, my wife's fish was over cooked and when asked if she wanted a box for the 80% that was left and she said no wasn't asked why. Also, the lack of standard kitchen cleanliness was disturbing. Very few hand washes, people fingers at nose and mouth then back on food. My all time favorite restaurant in Erie. No matter what I'm craving, if someone asks me where I want to go for dinner, I immediately say Firestone's! Their Pizzas are to die for. Their limited menu is the perfect combo of items, and their specials are always so amazing. The Smash burger is amazing, the crème brûlée is insane. We came by for a quick lunch . I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich which was more sweet than spicy. The bread was really soggy probably from all those pickles. The chicken lacked flavor. My husband ordered the tri-tip sandwich. He didn't really eat much of it . Because they added cheese in the sandwich. I have never had cheese on a tri-tip. Party of 3. Moscow Mule is refreshing, and Peach Cobbler (Sour) is delicious and doesn't taste like beer. The Green Chile Mac was creamy, had a hint of green chilies, and Parmesan cheese breadcrumbs. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich had moist chicken , fried till crispy . It has quite a kick , and the pickles add a nice flavor. And it came with a side of coleslaw that was sweet.
