    Green Chili Mac and Cheese

You're in Erie PA on the weekend and it's Lunch Time. Where do you go? Check out Lunch at Firestone! It hits it's mark. My mother had recently been here for a holiday party and remarked how good it was. Recalling the conversation, I suggested we go here before my brother and I fly back to Florida. We agreed and showed up and were promptly seated. Vibe: the restaurant is next to Gordans meat market (pro tip, pick up your cuts here after getting lunch at Firestones). The overall vibe is a modern decor with black tones and white subway tile with an open kitchen concept. Drinks: I ordered the Pinot noir which was interesting because it did not state from where and what brand of Pinot it was. However, it showed up with my soda water and lime. The glassware is nice and the Pinot itself was fine. Appetizer: We opted to start with the green chili Mac and Cheese . It comes out in a nice cast iron vessel. The dish comes with some toasted cheese or bread crumbs on top. The dish has a nice cheese flavor however the green chili barely comes through. It would be good to see the restaurant lean a little further with the green chili. However it's a nice dish when it's 24 degrees out. Food: Pizza: We went with two: the Mushroom red sauce and the arugula, balsamic vinegar with chimichurri and prosciutto. Both were good. My preference at this visit was the red sauce with mushroom. The pizzas themselves were cooked well and the crust is a standard thin crust. All in all the food was enjoyable for lunch but I'm thinking dinner here is way better by looking at the dishes on Yelp. I'll definitely incorporate a stop here on my next visit to Erie! Nice job! 4.5/5.0

We came to Firestone's after my son played a game at Erie High School Stadium. The restaurant is on the small side. The middle is the restaurant, one side was a deli, the other was a beer and six pack shop. Our group ordered pizzas and sandwiches. I got the catfish sandwich, two people in our group got the Churi Steak Sandwich, one got Gordon's Smash Burger, one spinach pizza, and one cheese. Everything tasted really good. The sandwiches were just really small. Fries were also extra($5). Service was fine.

This was a nice and pleasant surprise experience! It's located in the Gordon's butcher and Market which was so cool. Estically is was super cute in there. Very open, could see the wood fire ovens, and everyone in the back cooking. Greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. Services was good. I recommend making reservations I can see it getting busy, and although nice size it was smaller than I expected. The food and drinks were amazing! As always we pre looked at the menu, and still ended up trying something else lol We got a pizza, Brisket sausage and jalapenos pizza, with a green chili cream sauce! Now as a buffaloian we know pizza, let me say was this buffalo pizza, no, was it great pizza YES! If you like wood fire pizza with great flavor and good price (16) and in the Erie Pa area or passing through, yea stop in!!!! Then we also tried the the chimmi steak sandwich, again, bomb! The steak melted in out mouth and the flavors were so good!!! Washed down with one of their mules of the month, which was lemoncello, which I've never had but loved!!! Melvin is a bourbon guy, and thought they had a great selection, so he enjoyed a nice pour of Eagle Rare Then there is another craft and wine room, where you can enjoy plenty of options of craft beer and wine.

Regular here! Pizza is great. Awesome spot for a casual, laid back dinner on a Friday night. Good for takeout as well!

3 Big Green Eggs indoors. Amazing overhead exhaust system. First Class Don't forget that pizza oven!

10/10 Must Go-Must See Very special place. If you don't know Green Eggs, you will learn here. No corners cut here!

I didn't think too much into the reservation but when I showed up it was definitely not the place I recall (now known as Pier 6) but I recall looking at photos that it would be worth checking it out. We were promptly seated and greeted by the waitress. The lunch menu is brief with a few items in each section of Apps, salads, sandwiches and plates. We opted for the calamari as we heard it was a good app to start with. At the same time we ordered drinks which consisted of coffee, Expresso martini and the aperol spritz. The calamari came out and it was a good amount. However, they were very small and it was dry. We got the perch sandwich and it came out with an enormous amount of shoe string fries which imo are the worse type as they are typically over fried and so were these. Frying a good filet of fish is usually a bad idea and this sandwich would be better served to be grilled when your fries are fried and the calamari is fried too. Service was slow for being an empty restaurant. Note: we had a 4 year old with us and the key is to always rush their food asap so they stay content. Since we waited a bunch of time, we had some ancy people at the table after 1 hour 45 minute lunch where the room was essentially empty. Much improvement can be had otherwise spend your dollars at Pier 6 for a much better experience.

For lunch we tried the fish sandwich and soup / salad combo. Fish sandwich came with fries. Fish was on the small side and fries more on the mushy side. I had the onion soup and house salad. The onion soup is not French onion, it resembles it but actually has a sweet flavor. Salad was fresh, I added grilled chicken, it came with a tiny cup of dressing. They do use bottled dressing rather than house made. Our server had 5 active tables, even though she brought ketchup and dressing to the table, she didn't offer drink refills or check back after we received our food.

There's a Christmas popup happening adjacent to the restaurant that is printing money serving college inspired drinks that taste cheap and hungover laden but the vibe is good enough! The focus of this quick review is on the restaurant itself! Beautiful building in downtown Erie that is a Brewerie but also has an fairly extensive menu of food. We were early but promptly seated in a corner of the restaurant. Our server was fun, attentive and quick. We ordered a round of drinks and went into mains after a quick review of the menu. I tried the Reuben and battered cod. Not having either in quite awhile, i was ready to enjoy these. However, the Reuben was ok and very standard IMO but the fries were weird and not great. Stale or frozen then thawed for awhile maybe. Others got the pierogi's that they said were "meh" and one person got the nachos. I heard the nachos were standard which to me meant good here. The battered and fried cod was delightful. Not greasy and batter was light. Drinks, the mango habanero was not good. The house made ginger was strong and the bourbon surprisingly did not mix well. IDK how else to generalize the Brewerie as just ok with the best things being the staff and maybe their nachos. Restaurants try to be bars and bars try to be restaurants sometimes. This is definitely a bar moreso.
