Loved it! Food was delicious. The service was like going to your mom's house for dinner. The baklava was unique and really tasty. This was our first time going here and we will definitely be back.

    Fual Maddamas. Outstanding!

Step into this middle eastern paradise. Experience a woman who brings authenticity into every dish. Hand delivered to the table by the chef herself shows her humbleness but make no mistake, the food is magical. I have a closet addiction to a dish that only a select few places make: Fual Maddammas. This chef tops the list with Fual Madammas. Best ever. Entree I had the Shokie. Artichoke hearts with ground beef, peas and carrots and broth and spices that will make you think you've been transported to the middle east homeland for an authentic home cooked meal. The music and atmosphere matches the food experience. The salad dressing was authentic as well. If you're here, make the trip and be transported to a magical wonderland of middle eastern food.

I love the woman that runs this place, she's super sweet. And I love the Cashier-Blanca, too. What to get: Shawarma or Kofte Kebab, and the insanely good Mint Lemonade. Why: Because it's probably the tastiest Sh** you can get in Erie. That's weird: Yeah it's kinda Eerie. Anything else good in town: Yes, absolutely. The Pizza from Virgil's Plate. Amazing. And what else: Could you stop asking me questions please? When I first came here, I looked at the menu, and asked what was good, and the woman cast me a blank stare... and I Cast-her-a-blanker stare in return. So, if you're in Erie, try all the specialty Pizzas at Virgil's, and also come to Casablanca. Get the Mint Lemonade which is spectacular, as well as the aforementioned kebabs, which are very good. The lady working here is adorable. Your food may take a little while, so consider calling it in. But once it's ready, it'll be worth it. Starlight (my cat) is a very awesome and reliable cat. She is a Cat-I-bank-on. Surprising that such good Middle Eastern stuff is available in the sleepy lakeside town of Erie, which is frozen solid 8 months a year (I almost exaggerated just now), but it's a great thing. And by the way last time I played golf, the caddy kept peeing himself. He wasn't in control of his Caddy-bladder.

I didn't think too much into the reservation but when I showed up it was definitely not the place I recall (now known as Pier 6) but I recall looking at photos that it would be worth checking it out. We were promptly seated and greeted by the waitress. The lunch menu is brief with a few items in each section of Apps, salads, sandwiches and plates. We opted for the calamari as we heard it was a good app to start with. At the same time we ordered drinks which consisted of coffee, Expresso martini and the aperol spritz. The calamari came out and it was a good amount. However, they were very small and it was dry. We got the perch sandwich and it came out with an enormous amount of shoe string fries which imo are the worse type as they are typically over fried and so were these. Frying a good filet of fish is usually a bad idea and this sandwich would be better served to be grilled when your fries are fried and the calamari is fried too. Service was slow for being an empty restaurant. Note: we had a 4 year old with us and the key is to always rush their food asap so they stay content. Since we waited a bunch of time, we had some ancy people at the table after 1 hour 45 minute lunch where the room was essentially empty. Much improvement can be had otherwise spend your dollars at Pier 6 for a much better experience.

For lunch we tried the fish sandwich and soup / salad combo. Fish sandwich came with fries. Fish was on the small side and fries more on the mushy side. I had the onion soup and house salad. The onion soup is not French onion, it resembles it but actually has a sweet flavor. Salad was fresh, I added grilled chicken, it came with a tiny cup of dressing. They do use bottled dressing rather than house made. Our server had 5 active tables, even though she brought ketchup and dressing to the table, she didn't offer drink refills or check back after we received our food.

There's a Christmas popup happening adjacent to the restaurant that is printing money serving college inspired drinks that taste cheap and hungover laden but the vibe is good enough! The focus of this quick review is on the restaurant itself! Beautiful building in downtown Erie that is a Brewerie but also has an fairly extensive menu of food. We were early but promptly seated in a corner of the restaurant. Our server was fun, attentive and quick. We ordered a round of drinks and went into mains after a quick review of the menu. I tried the Reuben and battered cod. Not having either in quite awhile, i was ready to enjoy these. However, the Reuben was ok and very standard IMO but the fries were weird and not great. Stale or frozen then thawed for awhile maybe. Others got the pierogi's that they said were "meh" and one person got the nachos. I heard the nachos were standard which to me meant good here. The battered and fried cod was delightful. Not greasy and batter was light. Drinks, the mango habanero was not good. The house made ginger was strong and the bourbon surprisingly did not mix well. IDK how else to generalize the Brewerie as just ok with the best things being the staff and maybe their nachos. Restaurants try to be bars and bars try to be restaurants sometimes. This is definitely a bar moreso.
