They didn't keep their word on price I was quoted $1100 out the door on a set of Firestone Destination tires. I made an appointment a week ahead of time because I was told the sale started on June 6th. But when I came in, the price started off at $1350. Then it was $1290. Finally it was $1150. Then I asked to put the one good tire in a bag in the back. Their mechanic used his greasy hands to put the bagged tire in the back. But failed to put the tire in the bag all the way and left all the seats dirty from his hands and the tire Why not put another bag in top of the tire so it doesn't get the seats all dirty? They originally said I would have to wait 4 hours for the tires to be mounted with my appointment because they were busy. I asked them why I made an appointment if I have to wait that long. No answer. But they did finish in 2 1/2 hours. But I guess they were pissed because of the mess they left from the job on the seats. I wouldn't go back to this place ever again Discount tire treats you better and never leave dirt and grease on the seats. read more

DO NOT take your vehicle to this location!!! They DO NOT know what they are doing.. They DO NOT have Mechanics that are Qualified... I have been taking vehicles to repair shops for 40 years, 1-2 years doing business here.. I have mechanical knowledge, but too busy to fix everything so we take things to shops from time to time.. Half the time they just guess at what is wrong.. Have told me that the Mechanic doesn't have the knowledge to fix many things.. Told me Engine on truck was Blown!! NO it was Radiator issue causing white smoke out of exhaust!! Installed Drive shaft wrong causing Rear end to be damaged.. I could go on & on!!! Hopefully someone reads before making my mistake of going to the Wixom Firestone...DON'T DO IT!!!! read more

Be cautious of taking your vehicle here for anything of importance. To start I waited 3 days longer than they told me I would be waiting for a simple job. When I finally got my vehicle back, it did not drive as it should. Major issues with my RPM's, which did not have to deal with why I brought my vehicle into the shop in the first place. I brought it back to them and they pretty much blew me off. Denied that they could have done something wrong or forgot something. Sent me on my way with a vehicle that drove worse than before I brought it to them. Thank goodness I have some sort of mechanical knowledge and found out they broke a vacuum hose, and also forgot to plug one in all together. Who knows how much they would have charged me for diagnosing and fixing this easy mistake that they made. Again, please be careful of taking your vehicle here. If I could leave zero stars I would. They quoted me nearly $500 to fix my rear tailgate window. I bought the part myself and went to Safelite instead. They fixed it absolutely for free. Firestone wanted $250 for parts, I paid $54.99 from AutoZone, Firestone wanted $225 for labor, it took Safelite less than 5 minutes free of charge. I will never take any of my cars to Firestone again. read more

October 2, 23 - 1st Issue: Paid $700+ for 4 new tires for my livestock trailer to be installed only to find out when I returned home, the tires were NOT BALANCED. When tires aren't balanced, it can cause all kinds of problems and none of them good. Unbalanced tires cause vibration and shaking on a trailer (or car) when you're driving, especially at higher speeds, and can actually be dangerous, especially when pulling a trailer. An unbalanced tire causes bouncing up and down as the tire spins, which can make the entire vehicle feel like it's shaking apart. My animals could have suffered injuries from their failure to balance the tires. When I went in, I told the "Partner/Manager" that I wanted the best tires they sold because they were for my livestock trailer that I transport my animals in. Maybe they figured a female wouldn't notice or wouldn't know. I'd hate to think they don't or fail to balance new tires for people which also creates uneven wear, it can affect your ability to control your vehicle/trailer, especially in emergency situations. Definitely not a good thing. 2nd Issue: Once I saw the tires weren't balanced, my husband called the Wixom Firestone dealer and told them we needed the tires balanced. Neither one of us could fathom they failed to balance the new set of tires. They said no problem, bring them back up. I had to drive another 30 minutes to have the tires balanced. When I got there, another woman was at the counter and was visibly upset as she had made an appointment in advance, told them she had to be to work at 4pm and they had assured her that the work would not be a problem - it clearly was, and she was really upset. The guy behind the counter told me to take my tires to the same bay I had picked them up at. The guy that failed to balance the tires in the first place needed to balance them (evidently as some kind of punishment?) He was on a conference call but as soon as he was done with that, he'd balance the tires and wanted to know if I was going to wait. I said yes, I'd wait. After 30 minutes or so, I went back in, was told to go back to bay 1 and they'd load the tires for me. I waited over 5 minutes, no one came to load the tires but 2 guys in the bays watched me take each one of the 4 tires and load them into the back of my truck without a word or an offer to help. 3rd Issue - I had requested the best tires they sold for my trailer and was looking at the Goodyear brand tire. I was offered a brand of tire I never heard of - he said he was putting those tires on his camper trailer. I asked if they were made in America - they were not but they were about $100 cheaper than the Goodyear, American made tires ($25.00 per tire difference) I said no, I want the Goodyear Tires. I don't know if they do this just to females or if they are simply incompetent at their job. Whatever the reason, I would NOT recommend this place of business for tires based on my experience. Not one person apologized to me for wasting another 2+ hours of my time due to their incompetence. read more

Quoted $3,700 to fix my front end. I figured they were trying to take me to the cleaners, I took the vehicle to the dealership. Diagnosed and fixed at the dealer for $280. I saved $3400 going to a dealership. Too bad because they did an alignment of one of my rangers (entirely rebuilt front end) and that thing drives amazing after the alignment. We visited this Firestone on a Sunday with a tire that was leaking air. Not only did they identify the problem with the tire immediately (which, unfortunately could not be repaired), drove to a nearby Firestone to get a replacement and put the new tire on the car. We were on the road again in less than two hours. Highly recommend, exceptional service! read more

They don't call the guys at this store the Firestone Ninjas for nothing! They were so helpful it left my head spinning.. I came in with an issue of my steering wheel shaking when driving at higher speeds. I had just bought 4 tires and an alignment at a different Firestone, so we thought maybe the tires needed balancing. But Jim, who I think of as the Master Ninja, took a look and found out that the amazing folks at the previous store had DUCT TAPED my tire pressure sensors to the wheels, and the duct tape had come undone while driving, resulting in the shaking steering wheel! Baffled by this, Jim shook his head and proceeded to replace all 4 TPMS sensors at no cost to me. I went for a run and had breakfast, and by that time they were all finished. If you need help with tires or any auto work for that matter, this is THE place to go! They not only treat you like a human being, but one that they actually care about!
