The person who serviced me on 7/13/17, named Dwight, pointed out the air filter was starting to build up and getting clogged, and if I didn't want to change it this time, next time would be recommended, but no pressure at all. Also Davis Auto repair, which is next to Jim's Oil depot, and of the same ownership, is of the highest quality as well. They take the time to explain which repairs are needed and why. -1 Star I've been a…read moreloyal Valvoline customer for years, but this location was by far the worst experience I've had. They left my side plate off, likely because it wasn't fastened correctly after the oil change, and it ended up dragging on the road until I lost it completely. On top of that, oil was spilled all under my hood, and when the technician attempted to show me my oil level, he just waved the dipstick around without explaining or showing anything clearly. It was sloppy and careless work from start to finish. When I called to report the issue, the response was completely nonchalant. The manager said he would send me a coupon for the inconvenience that could be used at any Valvoline, but he never followed through. I stop at Valvoline often, but I will never return to this location. The lack of professionalism, attention to detail, and follow-through was extremely disappointing.

I've had my back and front brakes done there for an extremely good price (thank you Charlie). It's a great place to go. They're trustworthy. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. They tell me what my car needs done, but never pressure me into doing it (cause for me money is sometimes an issue). I truly appreciate that.

They charged $138 diagnosis which amounted to turning on the fan, without applying that to the $1000 bill. Additionally, they said it would be best to replace the original blower and for only $40 above the cost of the cheap motor they would install a Delco brand. When I picked the truck up the blower was only putting out half of the force it should. Neither Jim or the mechanic had a solution. Once I got home I pulled the motor and found that it was not a Delco but a generic and there was still some debris in the system. Lori emailed me the invoice and I also found a $46 charge for an engine air filter which was never discussed nor relevant to what I contracted to have done. I sent this information to Lori asking for a follow-up call and have heard nothing. Apparently, I can no longer trust the people at Hal's.
