Be Very Cautious I took my vehicle to Firestone because it was driving sluggish and not accelerating properly. Just a month earlier, I had spent $1,400 on repairs there, so I suspected the issue might be related to that work. After inspecting it, they told me it would cost another $1,200 to fix, claiming the problem was with the throttle body and throttle position sensor. Something didn't sit right with me, so I decided to get a second opinion. I went to AutoZone and had them run a diagnostic. The code clearly pointed to a mass airflow sensor--a $40 fix. I replaced it myself and now my car drives like it's brand new. It's extremely disappointing that Firestone either misdiagnosed the issue or, worse, tried to upsell me on unnecessary repairs. Either way, it feels like a scam. Always get a second (or third) opinion, and I highly recommend checking with AutoZone first before agreeing to any major repairs there. I purchased Firestone Firehawks and was told to complete a $80 Rebate online by one of their Service Advisors, AJ. Corporate denied the Rebate as the Firehawk promotion expired May 31st, just 5 days prior to my purchase. Human mistake but disappointing regardless. The Tire Recycle Fee of $5 per tire is way too much. They also charge for Balancing seperate than their Free Mount & Install which I feel should be inclusive like other companies. The location is fine and their Store Manager is a nice guy. Overall, happy with the tires but just hate getting wrong information and expecting something I assumed was still available. Avoid this place at all costs! These people are crooks. I brought my car in to get checked out because my check engine light was on. Turns out I needed a sensor replaced. I left my car for a few hours while the repair was being done. When I picked it up, I didn't even make it out of the parking lot and the check engine light came back on. I went back and got out of my car and I heard one om the mechanics say "uh-oh" and laughed while looking my direction. I went back in and told the guy at the desk that my check engine light came back on. He told me that they cant look at it until the following week then said that it might cost more if they have to do more testing. I ended up repairing it myself. Now, I'd share with you my experience when I went to retrieve my car. I arrived at the Firestone shop around 1:15 pm, after announcing myself and indicating my intention to pick my car to one of the front desk representatives, the manager, Matt, was called to handle my folder. Matt immediately proceeded to ask for payment, but I requested to see my car first before I made the payment. Matt responded "why do you want to see your car?". I replied that I also wanted to see the car running. He walked with me to the back of the parking lot where my car was parked, opened the door, sat on the driver and turned on the ignition, and did not say a word to me. At that moment, I reached inside the car and turned on the lights of the vehicle, and to my surprise none of my front lights were working properly, which was different from what they had disclosed to me that only one headlight wasn't working. I confronted Matt about the issue, and he said that he had nothing else to say to me that I had to deal with claims, and to pay if I wanted my car back. The lack of respect and care for customers from this manager was just unfathomable, so I decided to leave the parking lot to collect myself. While I was debating on taking the car with me today or not, I looked at customer reviews for this shop on yelp, and noticed that there were several complains from customers indicating that their vehicles had been tempered with. Many customers said that after bringing their cars to this shop, their vehicles experienced issues they never had before. These findings were troubling, and I knew I couldn't leave my car in this shop any longer. I walked into the shop again, and voiced my complain about my lights not working one more time. I also mentioned the several customer complains about the shady practices of this shop. The manager, Matt, didn't like that I was exposing this information in front of other customers, and decided to call the police to have me removed from the store. I waited for the police to arrive, and explained to them that this shop had damaged my vehicle. The police told me that the manger, Matt, had trespassed me, and if I didn't leave I was going to be arrested. I ended up paying for charges and taking my car with me, but no one deserves to be treated like this. I believe there is enough information from customers complains to initiate an internal review on the shady practices of this shop. It seems that this shop it is purposely tampering with customers vehicles to generate additional revenue. I brought my car to this shop with working front lights with the exception of the passenger side fog light, and this store caused electrical damages to my front lights. Made my appointment the day before online and once it was confirmed, I was ready for it. Woke up early on Saturday, drove down and was there at exactly 7am. Walked in, gave up my key and sat down with my tablet to wait as my oil change, tire rotation and wheel alignment were all done. It was just a little over an hour later that everyone was done and I was back on my way to brunch with my friend. I came in for an alignment picked up my vehicle and it had no brakes, they let me leave with no brakes. I brought it back they filled my brake fluid up and let me leave again with no breaks, didn't even check the vehicle out. There's no accountability, the locations don't care about corporate complaints. Managers will just work at another auto store. Don't bring your vehicle here no matter how small your service. NEVER COMING BACK. Walked into my worst nightmare. Came in needing a new tire because I had one go flat in the rain. The guy that took care of me, Alex (who seemed nice and trustworthy) went to take a look at my flat and in less than 1 minute told me I'll need all 4 tires brand new. He recommended me a Firestone credit card that has also been a nightmare to cancel. Ironically we had even discussed how my previous auto shop took advantage of women. After getting back into my car and seeing paperwork on my tires, I realized how horribly I had been taken advantage of. Very unfortunately my tires still had more than 30,000 miles on their warranty. After checking out less than an hour before close, they didn't have my tires at 7 am the next day. Safe to say I learned my lesson. read more

Where do I begin... I began hearing noises coming from my vehicle and it was obvious there was a problem. Firestone offers a free brake evaluation and that's great but don't be fooled. Not only did they quote me $1700 for "brake change" they put the wrong parts on the evaluation so that when I went and bought everything I need for $170 IT WAS THE WRONG BRAKE. these "mechanics" put that it was LR when it was RR. I am baffled because obviously, they were standing in front of the truck when they wrote the evaluation even when every good mechanic knows you write it in driver's perspective. none the less I just changed the rotor, calipers and brakes on each rear for $340 in all. I have been going to Firestone for probably 15 years. They are honest and courteous. They don't make me feel dumb like some places do because I'm a woman. They are always respectful and helpful. If they say I need something for my car, I believe them. The only drawback is that they are very busy, so I recommend calling ahead for an appointment. Winter Springs FL 32708. 11:38-I called and spoke to Gene and he apologized and he stated what occurred wasn't a normal occurrence. Here's a summary of what occurred: 1. Firestone didn't deliver on their triple promise! Nov 19, 2019 a. My car was 1 1/2 hours delayed from original completion time b. The service team lost my wheel lock c. Service team disregarded my claim they lost my wheel lock and didn't provide follow-up i. I persisted by requesting the look for my wheel lock and requested to speak to the manager ii. After two days they finally ordered my new wheel lock, however I had to take time and travel back to Firestone so they order the correct wheel lock iii. Once again, I traveled to Firestone and took time out of my work schedule to retrieve the wheel lock. Friday, Nov 22 d. Not once have I heard from a Manager in the entire ordeal The store manager claimed not price can be placed on my time and when we discussed what they can do to write this wrong they were not willing to make it Right! PLEASE STAY FROM THIS LOCATION! I recently took my new car to this location to get my hood latch fixed on my GTI. The shop had to keep my car for bit till they got the part needed for my car. After getting the part installed, one of the reps by the name of Harley had called me to let me know that my car was finished and is ready to be picked up. After I had arrived to pick up my car and to get the keys from Harley, I was headed out to get into my car. Soon as I opened the driver side door, my car was still in pieces and never put back together. After waiting a few days and noticing others parts scattered thru out my car. I took my car back and had the manager put my car back together again. On the same note, the manager Matthew had to take my car tire off to get to the tire to so they could find the nail in my car, which also never got fixed, while working with my car, Matthew never put back my loc nut for my wheels and had to drive around town risking the chance of getting stranded. Since Matthew had misplaced my loc nut, never once offered to call the dealership to see if he could order me a new one. Told me that I had to go get it and buy and that he would refund me my money. Not my job! That's his responsibility , not mine. I've NEVER have this BAD of an experience before at any auto shop before. I DONT TRUST them anymore! My Prius broke down across the street from Firestone. I had it pushed there and they charged me $100 to diagnose the problem. They told me the car was out of gas, which was weird, because the gas gauge showed 2 bars of gas when it broke down. They told me they added a gallon of gas to it and couldn't get the car to start, so they made the conclusion that both the 12v battery and the large hybrid battery needed to be replaced for $2700. I wasn't ready to pay that much for a repair, so I opted out of them doing the repair and I had the car towed home. I did some research online and found out that the Prius is known for having a faulty gas gauge that shows 2 bars of gas, even if it is empty. I was literally driving the gas on an empty tank, which drained the battery dry. I also discovered that when this happens, you have to reset both batteries by disconnecting them for 5 minutes and add enough gas for the car to recognize it. Once I did that, I jump started the car and it cranked right up with no issue. So I essentially only needed gas and a jump start with a proper battery reset. These guys charged me $100 for a diagnostic fee and I had to pay another $100 to tow my car home. They wanted me to pay nearly $3000! I was about to get rid of this car because of their terrible advice. I went up there with my Prius to show them that the car has been driving perfectly fine for several days straight and asked them for an explanation. They tried to argue that the batteries weren't totally dead, just "potentially prone to failure". I then asked them "why did you have me pay to tow my car then when all it needed was a jump start?" and I was met with a hesitant silence. After that awkward pause, I asked them for a refund to help me offset the expense of having to pay $100 for a misdiagnosis (not to mention $100 for a tow truck) and they would only give me 20% back for the diagnosis fee. So I was out $200 and they only gave $20 back. They didn't even diagnose that the car had a faulty gas gauge when it clearly showed 2 bars and they said the tank was empty. They wouldn't budge refunding me any more than $20, so I am just going to share my experience here to warn that these guys have no problem quoting you a few thousand dollars for a repair on a vehicle that might not even be necessary. I understand that these guys are only human and people make mistakes, but this isn't just a "few hundred dollars" we are talking about. They had me convinced that I couldn't drive the car away from their building unless I paid them nearly $3000, which forced me to pay $100 for a tow truck (because I definitely couldn't afford to pay what they were asking). That is a huge break in trust to quote someone so much when I was able to make the car running again for essentially no cost at all. My car is still behaving perfectly fine with no thanks to them. I am 20% happy that they gave me a 20% refund, so that equates to a 1 out of 5 star review from me. read more

I went to have my AC repaired. It was quickly diagnosed with a leaky hose. So they said it would be 2.5 hours to repair it. Apparently they didn't plan for an old female coworker stopping by for an oil change. So as result my car was untouched on a lift for an hour while they took care of her car first. This is the first and last time I will come me to this repair shop. The cost was more than other shops for the location here was more convenient. So I paid almost $600 to wait an extra hour while a bunch of unprofessional mechanics took care of a friend..., Save yourself a headache don't come to this Firestone, Nice people, terrible service, unless your an old coworker. read more

I would strongly DISCOURAGE anyone from going to this firestone location as they are NEGLIGENT and put MY LIFE AT RISK. I dropped off my car for a simple alignment after I replaced all of my tires with new ones. I requested to add on an oil change and an inspection. We get a call from firestone informing us that the caliper of the brakes were stripped off ( they put the blame on a mechanic that installed it 2 years prior). I had no issue braking while driving my car prior to dropping it off to them in the morning. The moment I picked my car and attempted to press on the brakes, I felt an immediate difference. My car was no longer responding to the brakes. It was extremely concerning. My husband immediately and slowly brought the car back to them to complain of brakes that were no longer functioning on the car. They did not attempt to examine it on a lift , but instead told him he was empty on break fluid then just filled it. We paid for an inspection report yet no mention of empty brake fluid on the inspection report ( DANGEROUS) . By the time he pulled up onto our driveway we had brake fluid pouring out from the car ( NEVER HAD THIS ISSUE BEFORE). The response of the manager, Matt, the following morning was not only negligible but concerning. He was not concerned with the fact that a customer was allowed to leave the premise of the shop TWICE without functioning breaks when it was complained about to the firestone employees . The car is no longer safe to drive and we will be towing it to OUR mechanic who will do an honest job to repair what was damaged under firestone's care. This Firestone location has previous reviews noting customers complaining of their vehicle being tampered with whether by accident or intentional. I question the service that I received and at this point the quality of the inspection report. The management needs to be investigated along with how the employees conduct their business at this location. I have already escalated my concerns to higher ups in corporate and will continue to pursue this issue until my concerns have been addressed. This is beyond the issue of poor service , this was a life threatening situation. You DO NOT let a customer leave without brake fluid let alone functioning brakes!. I would NEVER recommend anyone to this Firestone location. I don't ever right negative reviews so if I'm making time out of my day to write this one its because you definitely earned it, so congratulations! Although I appreciate the weekend hours of operation (hence my high initial review), we found that after they replaced my radiator, they forgot to place one of the bolts that helps secure it. Not a major deal, but I feel it was a reflection of a rushed job. They've been very busy the few times I've gone, and I am concerned about the amount of attention/detail vs quantity of jobs/day. When I took it back, they did fix that issue free of cost, but offered no discount or additional customer service. Also, since the initial radiator installment, my car has been vibrating, and I'm not exactly sure of the issue. I will be honest and say prior to the radiator issue, my car was recently repaired from being hit, so that could easily have been what has led to the rumbling; however, I hadn't noticed it until after my first trip to Firestone. This should be zero stars. Two horrible attempts to have my car serviced. My experience a month ago was awful. I made an appointment for a full service that should have taken 20-30 minutes. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment and told the customer service person I was there for an appointment and would be back in 1 hr. Which was more time than I was quoted on the phone. After running some errands I return almost 2 hours later. They have not even moved my car into the shop! The lady at the counter was very rude when I asked why it wasn't started at my appointment time. 2 hours after my appointment time and they hadn't even started!!! I went back today to give them another try. I called and made an appointment to have a standard brake service. The person setting up my appointment looked up the history of my car and confirmed their recommendations on brake service from when I was there last. He said about an hour. When I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment time I tried to check in. The "service manager" rudely told me that it would not be an hour I needed to leave my car for the day. I explained that I had called to make an appointment and that they had already done the brake inspection and knew what needed to be done and I was told 1 hour. I do not have all day to wait for car service. Based on the horrible operations and the appalling customer service I will never bring my car back here again. read more

I've had several cars needing all sorts of services from tires to oil changes and if there's something they can't do well then they're happy to refer me to a reputable place. My recent experience to my surprise was a complete vehicle inspection on a recent used automobile purchase cost me $9.99 They inspected everything up front about everything and no pressure at all to make repairs they genuinely care about the condition of my vehicle. There used to be a super friendly, super competent guy running the desk here, Vinny. Then he left, then a guy named Chris took over. These two guys made dealing with this hell hole fun, and I trusted them and what they said. My dad usually handles the vehicles, we've gotten probably 6 sets of tires through this company, spent over 3 grand here for new BMW and Armada tires, get 5 vehicles oil changes done here regurarly. So I'm not a strange face to this place at all, and I have always felt comfortable coming here. But now that these two guys left, the "customer service" desk is anything but. There's this totally incompetent guy working there, His name is Gene, Jean, Whatever-so you've been warned. Got a coupon? This guy doesn't give a shit. He'll convienently lose it or want to charge you for some stupid bullshit. Whoever works the desk don't communicate at all. I called to ask them if they could take a look to see why my ABS light is on and what the cost was "No problem, we'll check it out for you for free, we're open 7-7"..Then I come in and this guy is like "That'll be 99.95" Uh no, I'll just go to Discount and have them scan it for free, thanks. So, my dad picks up his car that he previously had serviced, where he tells them he needs X, Y, and Z done. When X and Y were done about 800 miles ago so that's really not needed. I drop off my truck for an oil change and to have them check my brakes, I present him with a coupon for an oil change ($21.95) and a coupon for brake pads ($99, if they need it). About an hour later, someone else calls my dad to let them know the oil change was done and the brakes are fine and don't need to be replaced... I ask my dad to ask the guy if they can rotate the tires and check the alignment. The guy says "sure, since we already have the tires off we'll just charge you $10"..okay awesome-go for it. About 30 minutes later..someone else calls "We can't get the tires off..where's her wheel lock"...................SO.......................how did you check the brakes without taking the tires off...and why did you lie and say they were already off? But okay, about 2 hours later they call and say everything is done. But Since I was in Tampa and forgot about daylight savings time, I wouldn't make it back by the time they closed. I called back and spoke to Mr. Holier-than thou Gene and told him I would just pay over the phone and to put the keys in the gas cap. This apparently is a big deal, even though I've been doing this for years at this location! Then finally "okay..well whats your card number?" Ummm how about a total first???? He tells me my total is $35.xx, I ask him.. "So that's for the oil change and tire rotation, right?" "No that's for the oil change, that's all that was done" "Ummm Well we told Tony to have the tires rotated and alignment done...and I also had a coupon for an oil change for 21.95" "Well it doesn't say anything here about tires and alignment so hang on" So after about 5 minutes on hold "Well Tony isn't available and I don't think you want to stay on hold forever...and where did you get $21.95 from?" "I had a coupon, is it not in my file?" "No I don't have people's files laying around here"..just a total smart ass. I tell him (again) to make sure and put the keys in the gas cap filler...and not to lock the key inside (how I usually do it, but didn't have my spare key). And he's like "I heard you the first time you said it." wtf? And now i'm like.. Well okay but I just want to make sure you understand.. "Well I don't know how hard that is to understand ma'am" Like are you kidding me? AT this point my patience is gone. So I'm just like "Well I don't know how hard it is to apply a coupon but apparently that's a hard concept for you to undestand so I'm just making sure..I'll pick up my truck around 7 have a nice day." TOTAL. EFFING. IDIOT. I can not believe that this man gets paid to have communications with the general public. I have been doing business with Fire Stone for 13 years. this is not the first time that I have had problems from Fire Stone's around the central Florida locations, but it will be the last! Today I took my vehicle to Fire Stone Redbud lake road, for a complementary oil change, To ( re-earn my business) tire rotation, balance and alignment! being that I purchased my tires at another Fire Stone, They stated to me that I had no history in the computer on my vehicle other than an oil change. They contacted the other store and stated that they have the same records as they do ! I contacted the store where I made (5) purchases on that same vehicle. The same store that they contacted, and they stated that they do have those items on an invoice in the computer on my vehicle. This weekend was the only weekend that I had time off of work to go and have these things done, and that store location is booked for tomorrow so I cannot make an appointment. Like the reviewer who posted just above, I've had years of experience with this location, most of it without incident. More recently, post Gene the manager, I've been subjected to every manor of bait and switch. Last year after a routine oil change I was told my Toyota Matrix needed $1100.00 worth of front-end work that a second trip to a mechanic at the Toyota dealership revealed was not required. Juan, my Firestone rep, did his best to scare me into the repair, predicting a most dire outcome if I let it go another day. Today, after taking my daughter's 2010 Honda Civic in for a flat-repair (a small repair; the location is convenient), I was told that the tire couldn't be repaired, that both back tires had to be replaced and handed an invoice suggesting $503.00 in repairs were required. The Firestone staff had nothing to say when I told them I had purchased the car just last month ONLY after a complete diagnostic that uncovered NO repairs or tire replacement was necessary from a Honda-certified mechanic I've done business with for years. And nothing to say when I refused to pay for the tire inspection. Do business with this location at your own risk. read more

My opinion is to run from this place!!!!!! High pressure and scare tactics used to sell you their service your vehicle doesn't even need! I will never step foot in this place again. They wouldn't fix a flat tire for me because they said the tires were to dry rotted and tried to sell me all new tires. I called this location and I got a quote from Jean for an oil change being $19.99. When I got here the associate Bear informed me that my car didn't qualify for the $19.99 oil change because my car takes synthetic oil only and it costs $49.99. Jean and Bear informed me that since I got misquoted and it was their mistake they would give me the synthetic oil for the promotional price. That is how you take care of your customers and because of them having honor and owning up to their mistake I will always go to Firestone. I originally went to another location to get my Mercedes Benz ac motor fixed however they ended creating a problem instead of fixing the problem so I took it here and they detected what the problem was and took care of it right away. Isaiah really stands out to me because he made sure he ordered the correct part for me car and installed it as soon as possible he was very elaborate at explaining the details and great customer service, knowing I paid $500 for the services originally the second time around it was no cost because the other location had messed up. I highly recommend getting service done here, if I ever need service done again this will be my place. read more

We have always brought our car to Firestone and have never had a problem with service. They are a little pricey, but they have a nationwide service system that kept track of everything that's ever been done to my car. When my battery stopped working this morning they were able to see that I had replaced it in 2014 back in Arizona and that it was still under warranty. That in itself is worth the extra cost for me. read more
