Took our car to Firestone in Tomball for maintenance before a road trip. My husband had called ahead for a quote, but when he arrived, the "manager" said the price was wrong and blamed a new employee. When my husband asked them to honor the quote or offer a discount, (at least be respectful) the "manager" became aggressive, threw the keys, and told him to leave. We reported the incident to corporate. Poor customer service--we took our business to Midas instead, (down the street) where we were treated with respect and given transparent pricing. I say "manager" because he was in a polo and not a work shirt. He makes the title of manager look bad. read more

I have been going to this Firestone for years and have spent thousands at this location. I needed my tires rotated and balanced, I noticed the tech lifting my Mercedes van up and then setting it back on the ground. He did this 3 to 4 times. I finally said something to Josh the service advisor, and he noticed as well. When they got through and finished, I noticed my door shut metal to metal, and my windsheild was cracked. I immediately went back in, and no one was inside, I had to be somewhere, and was going to be late foe my appointment. I called immediately and spoke to Josh, let him know they damaged my vehicle, he said the manager was gone and come back Thursday. I went back on Thursday and the manager Grayson Wood heard my complaint and immediately looked up and smiled and said he wasn't fixing my windsheild, which pissed me off and I cussed him out. He gets belligerent with me and throws me out of the shop. I immediately contact their corporate office, the next day the adjuster calls me back and uses the excuse that since I left the shop on Tuesday, they were no longer responsible for the damage they caused. This is beyond unacceptable, so I contacted my insurance company who is now getting the runaround from them. Grayson needs to be reprimanded or fired, his customer service skills are lacking and unacceptable. I'm going to probably have to take them to small claims court to get them to correct the damage they caused. They bent both floor panels underneath my doors and cracked my windsheild. I suggest you take your vehicle somewhere else to get it worked on because they do not know what they're doing and won't accept any responsibility for damage they cause you. It's a shame, now I have to go to another shop who actually wants and needs my business. read more

This is where laziness meets poor service, I've been going here for over ten years, my wife and kids go there, not anymore! These lazy mechanics put the spare rim on the front driver side despite being asked to put the spare back in the spare tire well. Then he put the spare tire on the chrome rim and put it in the bed of the truck instead. I got the inspection and oil change etc. and did not realize until I was at a valet parking the next day that this lazy idiot did such an idiot thing. Don't go to Firestone at 27900 Tomball Prkwy. Absolutely horrible! Took my vehicle in for them to diagnose a noise and they told me it was the front and rear shocks and struts. Paid nearly $2800.00 to have all of that fixed I will need to have the nurse come back 20 miles after driving. Brought the vehicle back in for them to replace the shocks that they said were already bad. Then brought it in a third time for another set of socks. Then brought it in a fourth time for another set of socks. Now they say that was never really the problem and they want another $800 to fix what is the problem. read more

Called at 5:45pm to see if they could help me with my dead battery. The guy on the phone spoke with me for a minute and explained my battery would need to be tested, and if the battery was in need of charging that could take up to 5 hours. This is all great info I was happy to listen to, but this guy follows up with "I don't have time for that tonight." Well obviously a full battery charging would be unreasonable at 5:45pm when they close at 7, but at this point the guy just stopped talking. Didn't offer to test my battery today, tell me I could leave my car overnight, try to schedule me an appointment the next day, nothing. He just told me what kinds of things that might need to be done, and said "but I don't have time for that tonight" and stopped talking. So I said thank you and he said "you bet" and hung up the phone. Well, if you were trying to demonstrate you don't want my business, I got the point. There is a lot of competition very close by, it won't be hard to find someone who's willing to help me. read more

I'll keep it short. If you are in need of tires or an oil change, your probably ok with this location. If you are looking for car repair, please remove this place from the realm of possibilities. After waiting a day for their LEAD technician to handle the repair, I received a phone call that they could not fix the vehicle. After taking to a dealership, it was noted they had installed the replacement fuel module in place of the existing suspension module and when it wouldn't fit (because they are not remotely the same), they zip tied it to the vehicle. That's right, the old zip tie fix......on the wrong part and place. One star for paying the dealership bill. read more

I bought tires here & they were able to squeeze me in just before closing, which I was thankful for, as I tend to work late frequently & I really needed to get this done! They told me that my bearings were loose, but otherwise looked ok. They repacked them with grease & tightened them up. Within the next week or two I started hearing a noise. I thought it could be the tires because the new ones I bought were a wider, more aggressive design, but the noise kept getting louder. I took it to my regular mechanic shop, Magnolia Auto Specialist, where they said it looked like the bearings had been over tightened. The bearings & races were shot. Either they were ruined from over tightening or they were already about worn out & weren't correctly diagnosed. So my takeaway was that Firestone & some of the other tire shops are great for buying tires. Leave the more serious mechanic work to someone else! My wife has had some trouble with a Firestone shop downtown near her office, where they keep trying to up-sell her every time she goes there for something minor. read more

Came in for oil change, also had air filter changed, waited for parts to arrived, accommodated, and left satisfied.

Horrible customer experience. Made appointment by phone, drove 20 minutes to get there at appointed time. Manager proceeds to tell me he removed my appointment, no notice to me. I asked why and if he could work me in. He told me he had 2 guys working as hard as they could and it would be hours before he got to me. And then walked away! NTB is around the corner and treated me like a customer. I'd give 0 stars if I could. Don't waste your time with these guys! read more

I went in to have my car checked because my check engine light was on. They charged me $106 to run diagnostics. They told me I needed to replace two oxygen sensors, and gave me an estimate of over $1700 to have this and other recommended work done. The next day I took in somewhere else and they ran diagnostics for free, they found no problems with the oxygen sensors at all. They said the issue was air in my brake line and fixed the problem for under $400. I was very disappointed with how I was treated and that they were not thorough when running the diagnostics, and still charged me over a $100. read more

I've had some horrible experiences at the dealership where I bought my car so I started to look for other places to get my car serviced. I've used this Firestone location several times and the service has always been excellent. The staff are very helpful and they complete the work quickly. I'm very happy with the customer service and the quality of work. I'm planning to keep using this Firestone instead of the dealership because the service is so much better. Thank you Firestone staff. I was extremely weary when my husband said that he came to Firestone to have his spark plugs fixed. I have only ever heard bad things about them and especially about the tires they have so I figured he actually went because there wasn't a line of people and that's not usually a good thing at a mechanic shop on a weekend. He got the diagnostic done and it turns out it wasn't the spark plugs that needed changing and they didn't try and get him to change those "just in case". They have serviced our car a few times now and they always seem to be extremely fast and nice. I don't know how they compare cost wise to other mechanics because mechanic pricing seems to be like doctor pricing to me. It's never the cost of parts plus 30 percent. I do know that my husband seems to think they are worth going back to and that our car hasn't had any major issues after going to them, I have had the mechanics that our car had more issues after a repair than before, in fact I've reviewed a few of those on here. I'll try and remember to check back in if we have any major issue with them in the future though. read more

I will never take my car here again. A few months ago I brought my car in to simply get an oil change. I get my car back and everything seemed fine. I went straight home that afternoon, without going anywhere else. The next morning I go out to my car and behold, 5 large, random acid splotches on the hood of my car. The paint on those spots has continued to corrode since then and unfortunately I do not have the money to just go get a new paint job. First let me say that there is no way that I just decided to go throw some acid-containing chemical onto the hood of my car. I don't think it is a coincidence that I take my car to a place that DOES have acid-containing chemicals in the area where cars are repaired, and BEHOLD I have several acid splotches on my hood the next day! I drove to Firestone immediately that day and reported the incident and asked an employee to look at the damage. I was very upfront and told them that I was almost certain that one of their employees was responsible for the damage and that I wanted something done about it. They simply told me that I was mistaken and that I had no proof. They said that they do not store such chemicals near cars when performing oil changes and would never do that to a customer's car. Was I surprised? No. Of course they would not admit to such a careless mistake. Thank you Firestone. The corroded areas on my hood continue to grow. It makes my car look fabulous. read more
