I recommended Firestone due to good service at other locations. My daughter made an online appointment. Within a few minutes someone called her to tell her that she could drop off her car for an oil change but they would not honor the online appointment she booked. She agreed. When we arrived the person at the desk was rude and told her no one would tell her to do a drop off. The woman at the desk then proceeded to recommend Tire Plus nearby. Do not trust their appointment system and definitely I don't recommend them her in Springfield Virginia read more

Went in there with a Giant coupon for 20 dollar tire rotation amd FREE oil change. Lola, the front end service advisor, didnt put it im the free tire rotation service report to make it easier on the technician. After waiting 2 hours on my car when they said itd be ready by then, the keys were given back and i was gonna leave until i noticed the tires werent rotated. Guess thats how she decided to do business because they dont want to do the cheap labor. i was also hassled over and over again by Lola about firestone credit cards and fuel treatment that was over priced which i declined 5 TIMES. I made them do the tire roatation after she tried to sly by without the extra free labor. watch out for her and the others with this cheap coupon. Just decline all their dumb recommendations that try to make money on the cheap And not do the work necessary. Also, every time i go in the technicians tell me i should get an expensive thing done thats not needed or was already changed recently. they get commision on what they do so they always recommend an easy fix at a high price thats not needed. last time they told me they wanted to change the sparkplugs because it was high miles at a cost of 250 dollars when i changed them 5 months ago for a cost of 20 bux and half hour. Ofcourse my car is high mileage, its an 02. So am i supposed to replace everything evrrytime i go for an oil change? Watch out for this shady business. read more

I came here today because it was a requirement of the rental company that I must take time out of my busy day to get an oil change for a vehicle that I'm renting from them. I get that it's important, and plus the fact that I've been driving their vehicle for months, it would make sense. But the problem I have is that the rental place didn't give me any other option, because they didn't have another available vehicle to give to me. They still don't have available card, but that's a different issue. With regards to this service station, I came here s couple of days ago to try get the oil change completed, and was given the same story. Every day no matter which day it is, there is ALWAYS a 2 - 3 hour wait for those vehicles where people are waiting. Today was no different. I realize that this isn't Jiffy Lube, but 3 hours for an oil change does seem like a lot. There people working here seem nice enough, so I will have to see how long this actually takes. I'm getting work done while waiting outside in my car. It is what it is I guess. read more

This was the most helpful and pleasant experience at a tire shop I've ever had. After running around to lots of shops who could not fit me in or were unable to work with me and the flat on my rental car, this Firestone assisted me right away and had me back on the road. read more

HORRIBLE customer service. Had me wait 3 hours and didn't even start on my car. All I wanted was an oil change...and I said I would wait up to the quoted 3 hours time line. Which is already ridiculous. Then when I show up 3 hours later they haven't even started it...No updates. Said all they can do for me is apologize and maybe it would be done in another hour and half. 4 and a half hours for and oil change is insane. Please be honest with your time quotes and update your customers. Not that it matters to me anymore because I will never come back. read more

Ok, I have to say my experience with this Firstone was amazing. They quoted me $600+ to replace pads and turn roters plus flushing and bleeding the brake lines. It was the lowest of several bids... The highest was over $1,200.00. when I picked up the car the bill was $400+. They said there was a package that included the line flushing plus they added other discounts. So, I pretty much have a new place to take my car... I am highly recommending them. read more

These guys are pretty good. I went here over Mr Tire after my friend had a terrible experience with them. I have a lifetime alignment and it saved me when I had a tire replaced while on travel. Definitely recommend getting the lifetime on a newer car you plan to own for a while. Pays for itself in 2 visits(~$150 total). I think I'm on my 5th? They aren't super efficient, time-wise, so either make an appointment or bring some reading material and be prepared to wait (or hit the mall). Rotations are $20 I think. read more

FRAUD!!! I just replaced the entire front suspension on my car MYSELF, except the inner tie rods that I checked while I was working on the car. I took the car in for an alignment after I completed the repairs and was told that they could not perform the alignment as BOTH the inner tie rods were stuck. They also informed me that they could see that much of the suspenction was recently replaced. I was told they they could replace the inner tie rods for $470. They informed me that they attempted to un-stick the inner tie rods by oiling them and by heating them with a torch (normal procedures for unsticking car parts which is probably why they told me this). I drove the car home, crawled back under the car, proceeded to adjust the alignment myself as nothing was sticking (I most likely was making the alighment worse as I don't have alignment equipment). As I thought about what I was told, it was total BS. The inner tie rods are inside of rubber boots. There is no way to access them with oil or heat, the torch would only melt the boots. An alignment shop knows this. I took the car to a different shop and they had no problems with the alignment. Long story short, they lied about my car needing a repair - looking for work that did not need to be done. Total Fraud!! Yelp should have the option of NO stars. I have a lifetime alignment on another car of mine but will drive longer to a different Firestone to get that alignment done. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP!!!!! read more

I had an appt at 8am to have my tires changed. I was told it would take no more then 2 hours. I called in at 11:30 to see the status and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes and to head on over. I had to wait an additional 2 hours on top of what I already had waited for a total of 5 hours. This is unexceptable especially since I had an appt at 8AM. I wasted half my day waiting. I have a 2013 model car and there shouldn't have been any reason why it would take 5 hours. Very poor customer service and they just seemed too busy and short staffed. So not recommend coming here. read more

I woke up with a fever and then went outside to realize there was a nail in my tire; needless to say I was not having a good day. I called Firestone to see when I could come to get my tire replaced and their associate Sam answered telling me to come down anytime. I arrived about 20 minutes later and he was at the desk to greet me. He took the time to check my tire and explain they were going to have to replace it. He was able to get the tire I needed and offer me a $10 off deal they were running but the tire was still going to cost $170. He assisted me in applying for a Firestone credit card which offered me another discount which made total end up being a lot more reasonable. Sam really went the extra mile to make my experience as best it could be and this really stood out to me. I was not happy with my last experience I had here however I decided to give them another chance. If you're coming here, I highly recommend working with Sam! read more

I've had my last few services done at this Firestone location. The work is done well, is thorough, and fairly priced. I've dealt with Jimmy, Bob, and Oscar on various occasions and each of these technicians has been helpful and courteous. I have never felt upsold or pressured to do anything that wasn't what I asked for or entirely necessary. I will continue to bring my car to this location. read more

I usually never write a review but I was so put off by this service. I went in for an oil change and a tire repair. My front passenger tire was running low and I could not figure out why. The technician called and said that they could not repair the tire AT ALL and recommended getting two new front tires and an alignment for $600. It immediately sounded fishy. I declined these services and had to drive with a nail in my tire. The next day I contacted Farrish of Fairfax Jeep dealership. I worked with Zaheer, and he was amazing. Zaheer was able to REPAIR my tire no problem! When I told him that the Firestone technician said the nail was sideways near my tread, he was baffled. Deeply annoyed with Firestone but happy I was able to get it fixed at a great dealership! read more

Car was towed in at 11:18 am. Got a hole in the tire. Needs to be replaced. Still waiting car is in the rack it's 4:36 pm. Office help was very nice and helpful but they don't have enough help on office or garage. The wait is unacceptable! read more

I was turned away when I showed up at 5:45 p.m. (they close at 7...) while I had an extremely flat tire. When I showed up, I only had 8 lbs of pressure and they were comfortable just filling it up and sending me off and telling me to go to a gas station for a plug. Of course that wouldn't fix the problem. Even if I did use a plug, if it fell out I would be screwed. Horrible customer service and honestly a threat to my safety and the safety of others allowing people to drive off like that. Thank God for Merchant Tire on Duke St. read more

I always look for reviews everywhere I go, I have a near Firestone in woodbridge which is closer to my house, but they have terrible reviews, so I decided not go there. I made an appointment for oil change at this location and they gave me a free battery check, everything was ok. The staff is so friendly. I highly recommend this location. read more

Dependable. I use firestone for all my car needs and if you're a loyal customer, Firestone will be loyal to you. I need to add that I never go without an appointment and only once did my appointment time seem to not matter, but it was a fluke and they made it right. The mechanics are super nice, by the way. So make an appointment, and you should be fine. read more

They should change the name to Liarstone. I went in to have my brakes inspected. I asked how long the wait would be before they could look at it. I hour I was told. Two hours go by. Your brakes are fine. Great! "That will be $21.95." For what? "Brake inspection." You didn't say there was a charge to inspect the brakes when I dropped it off. "Yes I did." NO, YOU DIDN'T! When there's a charge for a service, it needs to be mentioned up front. I went here over the years a few times, and each time they have gotten worse with their lies. No problem; this was the last time! read more

I was about to start a drive back to Indiana (600 miles) and noted my tires were so worn on the front that fibers were showing through. This was Sunday lunchtime and so in a panic I stopped in this location and asked for help. My tires are normally order in only (for a Mini Cooper) but they had some on site and got them replaced within a couple of hours. The staff were friendly and welcoming; they also were concerned and asked about my trip I was going on to make sure everything was ok. The location was well signed regarding Covid and the staff were all wearing masks and being very strict on the measures to keep everyone safe and healthy. A well oiled team and without them I'd be spending a night in Springfield VA instead of being sat at home in Indiana like I am writing this now. Thank you Firestone team!! read more

I scheduled an appointment on the Firestone website for a wheel alignment at noon on a Monday at this location and went there on time to drop off my car. As soon as I told the salesman that I had an appointment, I could tell his face and mannerism saying, "We're too busy to take anyone right now." Basically he told me since I have an appt it'll take an hour or two. I wander around the mall for an hour and came back to check the status of my car. It was still sitting in the parking lot. I asked about it and the salesman told me I'm next. I left and went to the Honda dealership to have it done. The appointment was useless and a waste of time. Someone should teach them the concept of opportunity cost! read more

This is the worst Firestone location ever. I put a new set of tires on my Audi the night before I had to drive from Atlanta to Washington DC. The car was pulling to the right a bit and felt funny so I decided to stop by this Firestone on my way up to take care of the issue. I pull in to the Firestone after driving almost 9 hrs and ask the lady at the front desk how long will it take to get an alignment. I was informed that they could put the car on the rack immediately and it would be ready in an hour. I told her I would wait for it. This was at 2:15pm. At 3:35pm I am still sitting around waiting for my car to be fixed. I go to the front desk and wait in line for the only person working the desk (even though supposedly three people are there working the desk at that time) to finish his 20 min conversation with a customer about tires. When my turn finally arrives I ask if my car is ready and I am informed that it is ready. My initial reaction is, why didn't they tell me? I have been sitting here waiting for over an hour for them to get it done. Anyway, Paul, the person working the front desk, then proceeds to tell me that they only adjusted the toe and that the camber and caster are out of spec but not a part of the alignment. What the hay? People, I have been working on cars in some form or another since I was a teenage. In fact, I normally do all the work on my own cars but alignments aren't something you normally want to take on in your garage. Since when is it not apart of having an alignment done? I immediately call him out on this. He then changes his story and that in order for them to do it they would need a special tool. So, I have had Firestone's lifetime alignment on this car for over 5 years. I've had the alignment done MANY times at different Firestone locations. They have never had a problem doing the alignment before. More so, if you couldn't align the car why did it take over an hour to figure that out? Shouldn't you have noticed within the first 15 min or so that you couldn't do the job? Cliff notes: I wasted over an hour of my life waiting, after already driving 9 hrs, for them to tell me that they couldn't do the job they were supposed to do. Unapologetic that they wasted my time. STAY AWAY! read more

I really hate to complain, but I'm afraid I have to echo some of the remarks already mentioned for this store. To mildly put, customer service offered at this store didn't meet my expectations. Everyone please read customer remarks! After a painstaking search for a set of new tires on a previous day, I scheduled an appointment on-line to purchase a set of four tires at this location. Even though I received two e-mails back with confirmation with the choice of my products, I received a phone call from a store clerk at 8:55 (for 10:00 appointment) saying that they didn't have the specified items I chose and I needed to choose something else. She gave me a couple of choices for greater price (naturally). My frustration level increased with further conversation with her especially when she informed me my choice was not available at any other Firestone stores anywhere. It wasn't listed as a discontinued model--I took my time to search for my tires, and I scheduled an appointment online and received confirmation. Obviously there's a significant breakdown of communication between online customer service center and local stores. I was informed that I should always call the local store--why bother having an online store, then? I was promised to have the tires ready by 11:00. When my wife showed up early for an adjusted appointment at their convenience, she was told that the store still didn't have tires I chose, and she had to wait for at least another two hours. Why bother making an appointment, really? She received a call at 1:15 and told that all four alignments were off. Finally, the car was ready at 2:15. I wonder if this is a systemic problem with this organization, or simply a pattern at this location. I had very good experiences with Firestone in the past. Perhaps their customer service declined over the years. If they had this much trouble with buying new tires, how much more difficulties you'd experience with any repair jobs?? At least I got some new tires, but it was a very disappointing experience to say the least. Lesson learned: checkout the customer comments before you go to the store! read more

My Heart Rate Monitor was taken from the car during service, when I called to inform the store I was told two things: Call the Police and smile a report (sub $100 value, Police don't care) and "You signed a form that says we are not responsible for items stolen from your care.", Told to me, rudely by Paul. Horrible place, don't go is my advice. read more

I should have read these reviews before even bothering to come to these incompetent idiots! I went to this location because my boyfriend and I were seriously concerned about the oil levels in his car. We went in for a simple oil change that was $20 with a coupon (which by the way took about 2 hours!!!) and drove home to discover they STOLE our coolant cap, and the coolant liquid was spilled all over the engine!!! When my boyfriend called them, all they said was they would talk to the mechanic on duty in the morning... And when we called in the morning, they put us on hold for ten minutes!!! We didn't even bother at the point, and just went to Quest Auto Parts and spent $19 to fix this whole situation, when all we wanted was to get an oil change! I work in the area, and I'll just refer people to go to the Sunoco gas station on Backlick if they have a car emergency, instead of these fools! read more

If you live in the district and need a tire, don't be tempted by all the tire places around the Benning Road area as they will rip you off with outrageous prices even for crappy used tires. At Firestone I literally paid half the price of the crappy tire places in DC. Recently, I stopped in for a new tire without an appointment and they had it done within an hour. I've been going here for years and they are highly professional, efficient, and friendly. They'll tell you that there will be a long wait but just be cool with them and you may be surprised. If you have to wait, just take a load off at the Springfield mall next door for a couple hours. read more

These people were rude and I felt like I was ripped off. We have told them that we wanted to keep the tire punctured by a nail and will try to salvage it since it was 3 months old and was borderline repairable. After we had paid the new tires and service, I mentioned that we shouldn't be charged for disposal fee because we were taking the tire. The guy at the register asks, "If 5 (I can't remember how much) dollars means to you," implying that I should pay it and I don't need that money. Really? Then the other guy brings the tire and informs us that he had already slashed the tire and then went on about Firestone lawyers, etc. Really, their lawyers are relying on these guys to interpret the law? No way, I'm coming back to thugs and thieves. read more

I had an emergency. I had stopped by at the Yardhouse Restaurant to grab a bite and when i came out, I started up my VW Passat and started driving and heard that flap-flap-flap of a flat tire. I pulled over, checked to see if I had a jack and tools and a spare tire -- check, check, check. The jack was unusual, so it took me a bit to figure it out. But finally, I was in the sun, laying on the side of the concrete in work clothes (it was clean, thankfully), and cranking it up. Now, all I had to do was set in the spare tire and...IT DID NOT FIT! I bought the car used. Who even thinks of checking the size of a spare tire? Plus, in the hot sun, I was getting dizzy. I walked into the Yard House to wash my hands and get away from the sun. I didn't know what to do. Call a tow truck? Drive it down to German Auto Imports, where I had bought the car? Uffff...how much would it cost? But two young ladies at the Yard House told me, "There's a tire store right by the parking lot..." It was Firestone. DEREK at the counter and SAM, a young mechanic, were great. They walked back to my car with me, saw that the spare tire really did not fit, and brought back the flat tire to measure it. Sam went ahead and fixed the tire for me and I was charged roughly $20 to have it all fixed. It would have cost me somewhere between $80 and $100 to get a new tire. They even drove me back and helped me get it back on. Amazing guys. I want to commend both DEREK and SAM for their wonderful work and putting customer service above and beyond the call of duty. These guys should be given a recognition for their hard work. read more

I went to Firestone to get my alignment and rotate and balance on my 2008 Acura TL Type S. I have the lifetime alignment package on my car and I also thought I had lifetime tire rotation and balance on the tires. So I went to the cash register and told them what Service I needed.. the person ( I forgot her name) that looked up my previous service I had done didn't show that I had the rotate and balance on my tires. I told her I come every year and get the same service all the time. She told me I only had lifetime rotate and balance on 2 tires. I told her no. I bought 4 brand new tires online and I had you guys install it for me thats when I added the lifetime rotate and balance on them. She is saying she only see That I have it on two tires and not all 4. I then told her how can a person just buy 2 lifetime rotate and balance on 2 tires when they had 4 installed? She couldn't answer me. Then I asked to speak to the manager. Manager (I forgot the name) came and told me the same thing . I told the manager I bought the lifetime rotate and balance on my tires for around $80 and I get the same service every year, but this year it seems like it only covers 2 of my tires now. She told me there is nothing she can do thats what the system is showing. I ended up paying $40 for my service. When I got in my car and drove off. The recipet shows my recommend service is to replace 4 brakes and rotors. How can this be? I alresdy repalced 4 brakes and 4 rotors in November 2020. This is my last time coming to this firestone.
