This Firestone said that my brakes were in 'critical failure' and wanted $6k for the brakes and everything else. Brought it to Govodnik on Durand and they said my brakes were completely fine, and fixed everything else for less than 3k. fuck ya'll Edit: I would like to mention that my HUSBAND is the one who brought this car in so it's not even sexism in this case. their incompetence knows no bounds. read more

While the personnel were friendly, it doesn't excuse the blatant dishonesty I experienced. Right before taking my car to this shop to get four new tires, my boyfriend and I changed the oil. We received a call from the shop stating that my oil was dirty! While I understand that up selling is part of the business, point blank lies should not be. When I went in to pay the bill there is a sign from the founder of Firestone stating "I believe fundamental honesty is a keystone of business." I took a picture of it thinking how ironic since they were dishonest. I feel that they probably take advantage of many women who are not as aware of their vehicle maintenance. read more

I was out of town and woke up to a flat tire. I brought it over here on a Saturday when most other shops were closed. They could have taken me to the cleaners but it was the exact opposite. They called within less than an hour to say that they found the problem and it was that the nut that secures my TPMS was loose and they tightened it right up...FOR NO CHARGE! He said he couldn't in good conscience charge me for doing nothing even though I insisted on paying them something to help. What a class act! I wish I lived closer because they would be getting all of my business. I would not hesitate to go here and know that they will be fair and honest with you! I'm only giving this place 2 stars because they WERE good to my son's car when he had 4 tires put on this past January (2012). I was there visiting and his car needed tires. What's a mom to do? Of course I'm going to help him out, right? I'm NOT giving them more stars because now that I'm back in California, and my son is still in Racine and needs struts, they WON'T let me pay with my debit card over the phone!!?! They state "COMPANY POLICY". Blah blah blah. We called another place in Racine and not only did they TAKE my card, I saved almost $100 on the work. Less expensive, and they took my card. I guess Firestone lost my business. Too bad about their "Company Policy" because it LOSES BUSINESS for the company! read more

Went in on a Friday to get a tire patched, was told it was in an iffy spot, so the manager dylan said he would order the new tire for an appt the following wednesday so they have it if it can't be patched. Waited for an hour for them to tell me they can't patch it and dylan never ordered the tire. Was imperative I get this tire that day, and did not have any free time to waste on this. wasn't offered a discount for the inconvenience. Never coming back. read more

We dropped our car off for an oil change and a brake inspection. They could not figure out how to start our car (it has a fob). They thought the battery was dead and jumped the car. The mechanic admitted that he could not find one of the car battery terminals and so he just hooked the charger cables up to something. They completely fried the electrical system of our car. Then, they lied about it. Interesting coincidence that we take our car in for an oil change and a brake inspection, and it ends up with a dead battery while sitting in the parking lot of firestone for 1 hour. We had to pay $350 for the battery replacement. We picked our car up after that and refuse to let them do anything else to it. Beware of this place -- they are dishonest and don't know what they're doing. Terrible business. read more

The guys at this Firestone location were wonderful. It was our sons 1st birthday and we were up the road at the Zoo spending the afternoon. When we came out to the car we had a flat and found a screw in the tire. The guys got us in fast and they all made sure to say "Happy Birthday" to our little guy and mad his experience more pleasant. I really trust this team to do their job efficiently and timely. They are the most considerate service representatives I've ever encountered. They also go out of their way to listen to my concerns and to address them thoroughly. I trust them to recommend the most inexpensive way to get the job done and to explain all the options that I have. They gave us the best price available on 4 new tires with an excellent warranty. On a separate visit they addressed issues with a noise I was hearing after going over a curb. Very friendly staff. Blew a flat while my parents were in town. This place fit us in and got us back on the road in record time. They charged a fair price and were so kind and helpful. They even tried to help me square away my trunk (which doesn't open.) I strongly recommend them if you need new tires. A lot of options and great service! read more

There are not enough good words we can use to describe the service received from this location. The manager Bryan went above and beyond anything we could have expected. We were in the area on vacation and desperately needed a mechanic. He was the closest Firestone and thank goodness for that. From the minute I walked in he was honest, friendly and helpful. He even made sure I got back to my family asap to be able to spend the day with them instead of being stranded at the shop. By days end we had a vehicle running in terrific shape and a happy safe family. I only wish this location was close enough to make it our only location. Definitely go here before anyone else. read more

I certainly lack knowledge in a lot of areas, but I am a mechanical engineer and as such know pretty much what can go wrong with cars. These guys know better than me, which is really sad that I didn't learn more in school! I have been coming for Oil Changes and Tires for a few years now, and trust them will all three of my vehicles. Friendly, courteous, and never trying to up sell you things you don't need. If there is something they can do to fix you while you are there, they offer it plain and simple, without pressure. I have yet to have my baloney alarm sound when they have helped me. I don't shop around any longer. I don't do what is most convenient on a particular day. I make sure to call and schedule with them, and them only. If you care about your car, and want someone to treat it with respect, like all the hard work that went into you buying it, then here is where you belong. read more

i went to two firestone stores the one on washington and main st , jessica from the washinghton store was great until her manager buted in and was not very rude and not helpfull at all so i left and went to the main street store and dealt with wayne the manager and jim i cant beleive the difference in attitude they went way out of their way to take care of me and i will continue to do all my businese there read more
