Wow! I have found the next level to personal oil change for my car, with the service of Cafe de Lube. What a positive first-time experience rather than going to a chain oil change place. I did my homework and checked on Yelp's reviews and sure enough, this place received a 5 * rating. So yesterday, I went. It was around 3:00 pm and I was in line for the next bay. The co-owner was super honest with me as to which oil change plan I should receive based on mileage. Then as I received my bill, I noticed I received a senior discount without even knowing one existed and asked for my age. The service was thorough and gave me enough time to have a yummy hot chocolate with whipped cream which was also discounted due to using their service. Everyone was super professional and friendly. We have the basic service services performed for our vehicles here. Having a cup of coffee is a really nice bonus. The staff are friendly and helpful. They didn't have the volume to justify selling pastries or sandwiches so it's just coffee and vehicle maintenance. It's very clean and a nice place to relax while waiting. Some people do go there to have coffee and hang out. One thing I like about the vehicle side of things is they do not try to hard-sell services or products. They offer or recommend them, offer options but don't push. The coffee is good too...we did like the small menu they had but the pandemic changed a lot of things. I have been a customer with Cafe de Lube for years and I have always loved going there but I have never written a review until now. I moved to Chicago this past fall and got my oil changed recently with a Jiffy Lube down there. Three weeks goes by and my car is making all these crazy sounds. I decided to take my car back to a place I trusted and made a trip to Kenosha specifically to go to Cafe de Lube. This is a business that TAKES CARE OF YOU. They care about your safety and the quality of your car. They are here to help and make sure you leave with the best quality/condition your car can be in. I came here for an oil change and when I was driving home, the lower engine splash shield, basically a large piece of plastic which covers the engine bay, came off on interstate 94. As this cover needs to be removed to drain the oil from the engine its pretty obvious who is at fault here. It is especially disappointing as there were no other customers at this place before I came or after I left, so i'm not sure why the lube tech was so rushed to do this job. read more

Brilliant business model. An oil change place attached to a coffee shop. So really this is a dual review: The coffee shop is legit. Beautifully decorated, great ambiance. The coffee is better than Big Name coffee and is cheaper too. I'll definitely visit again just for the coffee. The oil change was fast and professional. No attempts to bamboozle or up sell. This place is awesome! I was in Kenosha for a few hours on Friday and had maybe 45 minutes to get an oil change so I did some searching and found this place. This was easily the best experience I've ever had getting my oil changed!! I got the full service/full synthetic oil change. They brought the filters out to me because they were horrid-they really were. He wasn't insistent he just let me see them. I had both the air filter and cabin air filter changed-$22 for each filter....installed!! Outstanding! The measured the tread depth in the tires and said they didn't recommend rotation at that point. Amazing! Everything was completed in less than 40 minutes. I will absolutely be back!! I will be in Kenosha on Fridays so it's a no brainer where I'll be getting my oil changed! read more

What a great place. The manager is very nice and professional. 25% off in the cafe with an oil change. The atmosphere is very comfortable and the place is very clean. Fireplace, comfy couches, high top tables all connected to the garage. Carmel Latte and an oil change. You cant beat it. What a great little gem to stumble across in my new hometown. I will definitely be back. The oil change service was very good. The prices are as good as any but when you add in the nice atmosphere and friendly staff, this is the place to come. Nice little place where you can get all lubed up and have a coffee too. They claim they don't up sell, which they clearly do, but I thought the way in which they did it was nice. One of the mechanics came into the coffee shop and kneeled down in front of us with some car parts to explain why he wanted to fix what he did. I thought it was a really nice touch. My wife liked the coffee and I LOVED the chilled hot chocolate (or whatever it's called). If I lived in the area I'd certainly go there again, the service is top notch. read more

Never and I mean never will I ever go back to any other oil change station (while I live in Kenosha)! This place is family owned and ran. It also has a small cafe and ample of spaces to sit down! Well without reading too much into the name as I'm prone to do, it is how it sounds: A cafe serving coffee, tea, pastries and breakfast that is purposefully connected to a full-service lube/oil change shop. Let's just hope the coffee doesn't taste like oil, tar, antifreeze or wax! Heck, now all the Cafe de Lube is missing (per my aunt's dreamy suggestion) are mechanics who dress up in suits/tuxedos while changing your oil for the pure purpose of eye candy (and by oil I mean your CAR'S oil!). You can sit, enjoy a nice cup of coffee (at a discount with the oil change), and read for a few minutes while they work on your car. Usually, you are in an out before you know it. Definitely not what you would imagine a oil change place to look like! I was blown away by the atmosphere of the cafe. Coffee is complimentary with an oil change. They have pastries, paninis, and lattes. The owner Ron is super nice! I called ahead and to make an appointment, although they don't make appointments, he assured me that they would be able to answer all of my questions and that if I needed to wait it would be a comfortable wait. And he wasn't lying! I may just come here to study and get coffee some days as the cafe is completely separate from the lube area. read more

This place is awesome. It's a combination oil change garage/café. Here are the highlights: 1. Fair price - it was $35.00 for a full service oil change. Included check for battery, belts, filters, fluids, lights, wipers, and tires. 2. Everyone from the guys working the garage to the girl running the café were really nice, professional, and polite. 3. It was nice to sip a coffee in a clean café while I waited. Not only was the iced chai I had delicious, I got a 20oz for $2.00 because you get a discount from the café for being an oil change customer. 4. They go over a checklist of everything they looked at and provide recommendations in a very low pressure style. This is definitely my new oil change place. I'll never go anywhere else. read more

I absolutely live sitting in the cozy cafe sipping on a white zombie frozen coffee! Much nicer then any lube waiting room I've been in. The owners should be very proud if their employees, especially Ashley, Dana, Chris, and Tony who are always helpful and friendly. They are always very truthful about what you need like wipers and air filters rather than like the other places in town which will tell you that you need new ones after 2 months. I have been getting my oil changed at Cafe De Lube since it opened. Not only is it extremely well priced (around $30), it has a great staff, fun atmosphere, and great coffee! Today I went in for my normal oil change but on my way to leave my car died. One of the staff came out ready to jump my car. He tried and tried for about 30 minutes and it wasn't working. The owner came in from home (he's a mechanic) to look at it for free! He told me I needed a new battery and If I went and bought one he would change it out for me for free! I brought one in and sure enough I was ready to go with a new battery in about 10 minutes! I tried to pay him for his time but he said my continuous business was payment enough.
