Very trustworthy. My wife brought her car in for a new battery and to check her squeaky brakes. They replaced the battery promptly and after examining the brakes they said they were just fine, squeaking was due to dirty pads. Not every shop is that honest. Last Sunday I had a loud scraping noise coming from one of my rear brakes. I thought maybe I could save myself the hassle of having my car in the shop during the work week so I went to a national chain shop on that Sunday and was told it would be around $950 -- seized caliper, rotor, pads-- I held off and took it to Auto Medix. They said the caliper was not seized, it was fine. Auto Medix replaced one rotor and the back brake pads, all said and done they were $610 cheaper than the chain store. read more

I have never written a negative review and if I could give zero stars, I would. The situation we experienced this summer, waiting for our car to be repaired for 3 months was inexcusable. The insanity of the situation was the utter lack of communication. The phone rings at this shop and no one answers, we reached an answering machine only 5 times during that entire time period and never received a return call. When I finally started receiving texts in late June from the owner's cell phone we thought that we were finally going to receive consistent communication. Yet, responses to my text messages still went largely unanswered. There isn't even a business website to send messages. I am empathetic and my default is to give grace when things go wrong. I get there is a lack of workers, unexpected things happen in our personal lives, and maybe installing a drive shaft was complicated. But as a business you have a responsibility to OVER communicate to your customers. Also, given how she responds to negative reviews, I don't expect it will be a normal business response, which would be to sincerely apologize for the lack of communication and stress put on our family, which is what we deserved to hear and never did. She will say that my husband told her there was no rush to fix the car when it was towed there on 4/19. The TRUTH is that he said there was no rush to get it back immediately but that we needed this car when our son returned home by mid-May for his summer job. I guess our mistake was being honest as well as considerate? We paid over $1k up-front on 5/3 for the drive shaft part at their request, which we had no problem doing. She is also going to say that the issue lies with their parts supplier since by the 3rd drive shaft a Toyota engineer realized that it wasn't correct and that these parts were actually recalled and should not have been sent. I think the fact that you have a supplier sending recalled parts is, in general, a significant business issue. She will probably comment that I sent her a message through Facebook messenger on 6/2 - I did but only because I was looking for their business page, the business name was in her profile, and I recognized her name as one of the owners. My message was polite, and I apologized for contacting her that way. This is after no one contacted us for almost the entire month of May until 5/30 when she finally answered the shop phone and told us we would have our car back that week, even though I had left a voicemail the week before. She will likely also say that we didn't receive updates because they were working on the car or waiting for parts to arrive. Information like that is an update that we deserved particularly when 1 month turned into 2 then 3 months. The final straw was that we were told on 6/20 that one of our tires kept going flat. Rather than fix that problem while working on the drive shaft issue, they waited until 7/13 to order a new tire, further delaying our ability to pick up our car. We were then guaranteed, yet again, on 7/17 that we could pick up our car before they closed and, not surprisingly, they had yet another emergency/reason why it wasn't ready, and we had to wait another day. We did not get our car back until 7/18. This was only after our constant request for updates, via phone, text and in person, the last 8 weeks. And then Kenosha Toyota had to replace the coolant "T", a repair that Automedix listed to be done on the initial quote but didn't repair it or communicate to us that it was not done. Thankfully, Toyota found it while reviewing all of the repairs. And FYI, waiving a small credit card fee does not remotely make this experience acceptable. And while she said that she took off another 3%, we can't find it. The bulk of the "savings" is the cost of the used drive shaft vs the new one we initially paid for. Point blank if you are in a customer focused business then BE focused on your customers. If this seems ridiculous to you then go somewhere else and save yourself the aggravation. read more

Had a appointment at this place that was highly recommended. Unfortunately, the lady at the front desk doesn't have the right personality to deal with people. Very unprofessional! Didn't even let me finish a sentence. I was told they do good work, but I'll never know. I understand everyone can have a bad day, but when you are the face of the business, you better treat people respectfully. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

I would sincerely recommend Auto medix to anyone that wants 5 star quality work at a REASONABLE price. I have had many mechanics in the past few years on the same vehicle; some problems had to be done twice. I brought my vehicle there and it works better than it did the day I purchased it. He is a wonderful mechanic and his wife, who runs the office is very knowledgeable as well as being very personable. Very good people. Angie read more

This is the ultimate place to bring your car. Unlike many mechanics, you won't have to worry about them trying to swindle you here. The owner, Rich, will promptly take care of you, excellent, honest auto repair service is definitely something he prides himself in. He is a man of total integrity, which is the number one thing I look for in a repair shop. read more

I was on the way to Japan and needed to get my 2008 GMC Acadia fixed prior to putting it in storage. I was in transit from Iowa to Japan. I looked up Yelp for help with finding a shop. Auto Medix was the first one that has popped up on the list. I called and Angie answered. I explained my problem and my dilemma about me leaving and she had me come in within two days for an appointment. I had my diagnostics done through OnStar and Rich has confirmed the diagnostics when I got my car to him. Using the diagnostics from OnStar I called several dealerships in the area and was given a quote for the same repairs of over $800.00. Rich had me in and out in one day for less than $300.00 using parts from one of the dealerships that quoted me that astronomical price. Since i don't live in the area I stayed in the shop and waited for the repairs to get done. Which was fine with me because Angie is a blast to be around and and the family atmosphere and environment in this shop is worth the wait. Also had some of the best food while I was there thanks to Angie. If there was a 10 star rating they would get an 11. Rich is the most honest mechanic I have ever taken my vehicle to and that includes family. He will not rip you off and what he quotes you is what you get. If I'm ever in need of car repair and am in the area I'll give my business to Auto Medix any day. read more

Absolutely fantastic shop. This is a mom and pop business that you can trust 100%. When I moved to the area, another shop in town quoted me at $2400 for front and rear suspension. These guys did it for $700. When I was considering buying a new (used) car, I brought it in, because there's nobody I would trust more than Rick to help me make a car buying decision. Seriously...go here. read more

They been working on my vehicles for a long time family-owned they take care of your car like it was Their own never had a bad experience

I can't say enough good things about this shop!! I found them when I wanted a second opinion on an expensive quote from the dealer. Not only was their price better, they also pointed out repairs I could plan ahead for. They've always been honest and the work is done very quickly. It's such a relief to know that when something goes wrong with my car, there is someone I can trust to talk me through it. We live out of state and plan our repairs for when we are in town. Angie and Rich are the best!!! read more

Hands-down the BEST auto repair place in Kenosha. Rich and Angie have always been upfront and fair with us about what is wrong with our vehicles, and what our repair options are. They are reasonably priced, and we always feel like we are treated like family. read more

Hate leaving poor reviews and I rarely leave reviews but my experience with Auto Medix was not a great one and was extremely frustrating. First off the lady at the front has an attitude nearly every-time you talk to her and a very defensive tone. Secondly they did not install the part I asked them to install. Both are red flags and show they do not care about their customers and they try to save a buck by installing cheaper parts. Unfortunately I give this mechanic shop a 1 star and won't ever return again because I can't trust them with my vehicle. I literally can not trust them and that sucks to say. I gave them many chances so this is not a one time review. This is a review of all my experiences so it is a very fair review. Until they change and show they care and do not install parts customers don't ask for then I would try them again. I believe that people and businesses can learn from their mistakes and change and grow but only they can do that by looking in the mirror. Until then my business is in the hands of a mechanic shop I can trust. read more

I highly recommend this repair shop. I do not trust my car to just anyone. Especially the Dealer. Rich is the owner and he personally took care my mothers car, my brothers 2 cars, and my friends car. He will tell you how much and thats it. Reliable and trustworthy. I am completely at ease when I have auto problems taking it to Auto Medix. read more

My stepson goes to school at UW Parkside he called me and said he didnt have brakes and the pedal goes to the floor. I dread taking my car in for repairs. But AutoMedix took the pain out of the experience. Fair pricing, great friendly service. This Mom and Pop shop is my new car repair place! read more

Went to Auto Medix based on reviews since we were out of state and knew no one. Found that owner Rich was out. His wife Angie was running front desk and was very professional. Gave me concise information and time frame to look at car. I had to return home and Angie kept me informed of what was found and cost to repair. Cost was very reasonable. I will be going back to Auto Medix whenever my sons car needs any type of work. They are a good clean honest business. read more

Auto Medix is a family run business, and they have always been fair and honest with me about the repairs I need. I have had four vehicles there, and have had good experience with them in situations with repair/replacement of car parts, routine maintenance/tune ups, and repairs that didn't work (they didn't double charge me, and suggested that I take it to the dealer for diagnosis rather than running up costs). They used OEM specified parts and fluids, which again reflects their care for the vehicles they service. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

It only cost me about $451 for an all-around brake job (pads+ 2 new rotors). Rich called me right away and gave it to me straight. Now my e-brake works too. read more

Quick and easy. I scheduled a appt for an 8am oil change and tire rotation. I arrived a few minutes prior to 8am and found the owner showing up on time to open the doors and let me in. He recognized my vehicle (and name) and rolled my car in immediately. I was out the door in 39 minutes. While in the lobby I saw his demeanor with other customers and you can see he has pride in his business, knows his customers (by name) and does a good job. read more

In the world of auto repair it is so hard to find a repair shop that is professional and trustworthy. Auto Medix has far exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend. Raving Fan!!! read more

I have been taking my cars to Rich at AutoMedix for years. Even when I moved to Chicago, I made a point of driving back up to Kenosha for him to work on my car. He is fair and extremely honest. As a female who knows nothing about auto repairs, I have always trusted him and left feeling that I was treated with respect and wasn't ripped off. He and his wife are great to their customers, and they will always have my business. I HIGHLY recommend AutoMedix. read more

Auto Medix has been repairing my vehicles for years! They are only two blocks from my apartment. It is so nice to have a neighborhood repair shop you can trust! They are always upfront, friendly, professional and willing to help out in anyway they can; even when I can't figure out how to install a headlight bulb! Their reasonable prices and friendly environment keep me going back to a place where I feel that no matter the problem, they are willing to help! read more

If you are looking for some place to help out with an emergency repair. This place is not it. I am in the process of moving into the area and living out of a hotel, Thermostat went out of car in Milwaukee and had to have it towed back to Kenosha. Call Auto Medix and explained my situation and they wouldn't even discuss helping me out and getting the car looked at until Wednesday. read more

Rich, the owner, has done all of the maintenance and repair work on my cars for several years, first as the chief mechanic for the previous owner of the business, and now as the owner AND chief mechanic of Auto-Medix. His work is excellent. As a matter of fact, I live in Greenfield and have not found an auto repair shop in this area that I trust as much or receive service anywhere near the quality of Auto-Medix. I gladly drive to Kenosha to get any auto work done, even oil changes. read more

I have lived in Kenosha for 16 years and never found an auto repair that I felt fully confident in. After reading the previous reviews, I decided to call Auto Medix. I took my car there today and was able to wait while they fixed it. Rich was very easy to work with, and understood my concerns that this has been an ongoing problem with the car. Final analysis? They not only fixed the problem while I waited, but it was more than 50% less than when I had it fixed elsewhere. Ladies, take note, you won't feel like you're getting the shaft when you take your car here. I found my mechanic! read more

I never write reviews, but I do read them. But this place really made me write one. I have been having car problems for weeks, it wasnt starting properly took it to one mechanic and even the dealer where I bought my car and after different diagnostics and thousands of dollars later the problem was still there. I decided enough was enough, looked at some reviews from this place and it took it to Auto Medix, the problem was simple and cost only $100 and my car runs like new now, if i went here earlier I could of saved over a thousand of dollars...literally!! Its really hard to find an HONEST mechanic, and before this place I wasnt sure one existing. He could of easily swindled me out of hundreds of dollars but he didnt! He now has a loyal customer even though I live in IL, I will make the drive to take my car here, I also will tell all my friends and family! Great guy and great mechanic! read more

They were so helpful and nice! As a college student from out of state and knowing nothing about cars or mechanics, Im so glad I came to Auto Medix. They took great care of me and my car!
