Car was losing power and overheating they worked on my car SEVERAL times to fix the overheating problem, and each time charging me more for the service. Took it in recently as it was loosing power and slow to rev up, with overheating alert again. Mechanic, without test driving the car said it was fine. You want to chase your tail, take your car to any Firestone location. I've been to 3, Davie, Hollywood and Planation. Additionally, brought my car in for a tire leak which they plugged supposedly and by the time I got home 30 minutes away, I had a full flat. How they stay in business is mind boggling. Paying off my charge card and taking my car elsewhere. By the way, I actually found an honest and competent auto shop that diagnosed my car, fixed it and video recorded the whole process for me. I had a very bad experience at this Firestone location due to an employee named Anthony. I was told that my payment needed to be made in cash, which I did. However, after handing over my money, the payment was apparently sent to an account that I do not recognize and that no one can clearly identify. As a result, I have now been stuck in a dispute with the payment processing department for over two months, trying to figure out where my money went. No one has given me a clear answer or taken responsibility for the mistake, and the process has been extremely frustrating and time-consuming. This situation could have been avoided with proper handling and transparency at the store level. I expected professionalism and accountability, but instead I'm left chasing my own money with no resolution in sight. Firestone is completely untrustworthy. I took my car in for a simple A/C line leak, and by the time they got to it, they quoted me $1,800 for parts and labor. They falsely claimed I needed a new condenser, which was absolutely untrue. I ended up doing the repair myself and discovered they were trying to charge me $250 for a discharge line that only costs $25, and $400 for a condenser I didn't even need. I have been a very long time customer of Firestone in Plantation and im normally satisfied with the service. However, today I was disappointed with my experience as, in addition to a standard oil change, I asked if a light on the driver side could be looked at as it would not turn off. To make a long story short, turns out there was nothing wrong with the light as it is related to the positioning of my seat, and it was normal to be on. Unfortunately, I didn't know this, and when I asked for the $21.99 I was charged for an "inspection" could be reversed, I was told "no". Now, $21.99 is not a huge amount of money, but I think that given the circumstances charging me for this "inspection " was not the right thing to do and very poor business practice. They did not take my car apart to find the problem and when the rep finally understood which light I was talking about on my car door, he explained it to me immediately. $22 out the window! I went in on July 10th because I needed to do some services such as rotating my tires, adding air & doing a complete vehicle inspection. The guy in the front I believe his name was Bob told me that my tires are kind of balding in the front because the previous owner did not rotate my tires enough. I go in my car & my TPMS light is still on indicating they did not add air in my tires as they should've & they also did not rotate my tires because my boyfriend cleaned one tire the previous day & when I told him about the services he said they did not rotate them because the clean tire was still in the same spot as before. I am very dissatisfied in the services I received because all they really did was inspect my car & nothing else & then mislead me into believing I got everything I came for. read more

I can clearly understand the low rating of this establishment. Let me first start by stating that I have been a customer for many years and have recently referred it to a friend however my most recent experience will definitely be my last. I took in my vehicle to have a screw removed and tire patched as well as having it aligned and all 4 wheels balanced and rotated. Sounds pretty basic right? The service writer never left his position behind the desk to perform a routine "service walk" which should be routine. I left the vehicle and received a call a couple hours later stating that I needed 4 new tires. I had to ask if he was referring to the correct vehicle. I replied that I definitely did not need 4 but perhaps the front 2 due to the vehicle being out of alignment and the tires being less than 2 years old. They do not offer the tires that are currently on the vehicle, Michelin, so I understand why he was pushing 4 tires. I replied no and was told that they would not rotate the tires and that it was finished. Why would you perform the services and then inform the customer that you need new tires? I picked up my vehicle and payed the $320.00 invoice. I noticed that the tire pressure of all tires was 38psi. It clearly states on the inside of the drivers door that the front tire pressure should be 30psi and the rear tire pressure should be 32psi. Tire pressure builds as the tires heat up. The next morning driving on the interstate the front end felt like it was shaking loose. I attributed it to the high tire pressure. The following morning, when the tires were cold, I went to adjust the pressure and noticed that the valve stem cap was missing and my front right wheel was scratched. Now, no matter what I do with the tire pressure, the vehicle shakes violently at speeds above 55 mph. I cannot express how disappointed I am and will never return to this establishment. I am very disappointed that on my first time of doing business with Firestone it left me bewildered! Long story short, I always go to my Dealer (I rate them 5 star every time) but purchased 4 new tires elsewhere which led me to Firestone for the installation. I returned a week later to Firestone to have front left tire checked. When I left the location about a stop light away my eyes were drawn to an instability control message and other flashing lights on dashboard. I had an uncomfortable feeling about this strange occurence. My Toyota has been problem free from I have it - I stay on schedule for service times with the Dealer. Soon after the vehicle lost power while driving I had to have the car towed to the Dealer. To my surprize they showed me a hose that was disconnected, which caused airflow into the system. When I enquired how does this happen I was told it had to be physically disconnected based of it's construct. Whomever removed it never replaced an inner piece. Needless to say part replacement and labour costed me greatly! Just saying, I went for tire check at Firestone but found technician in the engine area. When I asked why is that he said he was just dusting off battery corrosion. My Dealer serviced the vehicle a couple weeks prior and they are very detailed and attentive so am curious about this whole situation. Firestone needs to do better! read more

Anthony and Lance were amazing! They went above and beyond with helping me after I got a flat. I only paid for a patch on the tire, while I had a donut on my car. I left work early and brought car in at 4:14pm, to avoid lines, to have a tire patched and donut taken off car. They waited until 6:35 to tell me that the tire couldn't even be repaired. Something that would've taken 5 mins for them to notice if they had followed their own protocol and walked out to car with me. But due to their under staffing and terrible mgmt My time was not valued and I waited until 7:45 (they close at 7, I should have been attended to) for new tire to "arrive" and be serviced. I watched 13 customers take priority over my car and priority over my time during my 4 hour ordeal. Mgr Bob Fritz didn't even acknowledge that customers were in his store and despite my issues he quickly hit the road and left the building at exactly 5pm, despite the low staffing and high traffic into store. Came here cause they had a sale going on with there tires and had a great brand. I made an appointment for 11am I got there early like around 10:45am I didn't leave until 3pm and when my car was finally ready they gave me the keys I got in my car and my car started shaking I didn't even leave the lot and i noticed it I went back inside to find out they didn't tighten my lug nutz. Which is crazy I could had got into a really bad accident. Like how did they forget to do that. How did they not feel the car shaking when they took my car to the parking spot. Since again I was leaving I had no choice but to let them do the job. $85 to replace the bulb in the front. Part price was $14.99 $70 to put in in. I was told the Brake light was replaced. Nope!! As I left I checked it. Called over a tech he took off the cover and 2 bulbs were in the container just sitting there. Oh I almost forgot. WASTE OF TIME & ENERGY AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. My car was left overnight, I was ensured it would be worked on the next day, all I wanted at first was an inspection to determine what needed to be done, I informed them that it may be transmission related and was advised that was no problem to do an inspection even if they themselves do not redo transmission. I also advised them that I would also like oil change and fluids topped up one time. Next day comes and there was absolutely no update until I called them. I asked at 11am for an update, nothing was done, they stated it would be done at 1pm. Then No word at all when 1pm came and went So at 2:40 I called an asked for another update and it still wasn't even worked on. The car was up on racks at 3pm and around 4:30 I called again, still no work. Instead of being proactive about customer service they seem to want to brush you off as if they're too busy. Even though it says they close at 7pm online apparently they close at 5. So I ask will it even be inspected an worked on in the next half and hour? If I didn't ask about the time they really close or the status 5pm would've come and gone and my car would be stuck there and I would have to lose another day of work. When I finally picked up the car they brush me off and say to take it to a transmission place or dealer.... You tell me this without any inspection at all.....puh lease!! ***Updated Review*** I had to contact Bridgestone Social to get some traction and still ended up paying for a damaged tire. I learned my lesson, never again buy Bridgestone. However, Bill the manager is a real nice person once I got to meet with him and Bob as well. I just do not think that i should have been responsible for a damaged tire, though I am lucky it did not happen while on the highway or with my kids. I will not increase the score because, I just do not think that they did anything to remediate the situation. Bob, Bob, Bob, what a guy! So, I went by on Monday August 1, because i purchased two Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires online back in January and had them installed in February with an independent tire center company. On Sunday July 31, one of them, while fueling my car just blew out from the inside. I went to the same independent tire center to have it looked at and was advised to go to Firestone as this is their product and it has all the markings of a defective tire. Firestone should honor their product. The next day I went to the one in Plantation and explained in detail to Bob, what had occurred, but not the results given to me by the independent tire center company. Bob, stated that in all his years, he had never seen this before (WHAT!!!, NEVER!!!), that it looked like a slash or like one would hit the edge of the concrete where the pumps stand, but he would keep the tire and speak to the manager (Bob, if such would have happened, the damage would appear on the outside of the tire, not the inside...concerning the slash, how can this happen while pumping gas, explain Bob). A couple of days passed with no answer, so I decided to call for a determination, but was unsuccessful, so I stopped by. Bob stated that the tire was ran low on air and for such it blew...now let us analyze this, low on air causing a blowout. I mean I am not a tire expert by any means, but low on air would never cause a blowout...that is why it is called a BLOW OUT. Plus, there is ZERO side wear on the tire, simply because that is not the issue. Nevertheless, Bob, decided to offer me a whopping $40 credit (Tire cost about $170). If the manager was involved and gave the go ahead to make this offer, he should be removed but this seems to me that Bob just went rogue on this whole situation. This tire should be replaced at no cost and installed at no cost. I failed to add that these tires are on an Acura TL, with tire sensors (TPMS) and they come from factory low to the ground, one would damage the front before you damage a tire. For such, this leads me to believe that all what Bob said was unadulterated BS. I will be sending this to corporate if I do not hear from them by EOW. Therefore, I would highly recommend you get a second and third opinion/quote prior to trusting this location. read more

I was a regular customer at this Firestone for many years. I called 2/15/23 at around 10:00am to schedule an oil and filter change and to get a price on replacing my tires. When the person answered the phone, it was difficult to hear him, and I mentioned that I could hardly hear him and was told (not very nicely) he could hear me. I stated the previous information my name, make of my vehicle and that I was interested in pricing to replace my tires, He told me to stop rambling, I was insulted but continued the conversation did as he requested (reluctantly) went outside and checked the size of my tires. I was already not happy so when He told me he had 2 brands of tires, and they were $1,200.00 either brand. I was already annoyed and said wow that's not happing. No offer of why the tires were that price no other information. His whole attituded was really rude. I had enough and said bye and hung up. I called another Tire company bought tires for $400 less including a 50,000-mile warrantee and they are doing my oil and filter change for free. read more

This Firestone in particular continues to show no competence in their work. 3/4 of the tires installed here were I stalled backwards. All of the work I ever got done here has been a problem and is never fixed the first time. Anthony their service manager sucks and their uncertified techs in the back absolutely suck. Cant believe they've managed to keep a 2 star rating there is no way anybody gets good service from this place. I had an engine mount replaced on my car here and they managed to install it upside down. I am a technician myself and when I finally looked at the work they done it was clear they used no competence. The upside down engine mount caused multiple problems to my vehicle and I should have perused a lawsuit against Firestone but I don't have time for that. Instead I talked to the manager and the "master tech" Anthony, they both lied to me and said it was installed properly when it was clearly upside down and jammed in, causing a slant on the engine. They did everything they could to defend their lies and I had to file a claim, which Firestone ignored until months later the claim reached corporate. Finally months after the managers lied to me over and over again, they called me in for a refund and pretended they hadn't lied for months to my face. Only good person in there is bob but then again they are all getting paid to lie to you. My entire family used to go to Firestone when I wasn't around to work on their cars and I've made sure that nobody I know will waste their money here ever again. Further inspection of the car reflected that I needed additional work done, so I decided to leave the vehicle with an estimation it would be ready in about an hour and a half. Rolled over a curb and my tire was flat so I took it in and they had to replace the tire (there was a hole on the side of the tire). The guy in the front quickly helped me identify the issue and pick the closest matching tire to all of my other 3 tires. He just said he will call me when to come back and put the tire on. I went and ran some errands came back about an hour before they were going to close and he just put the new tire on. Took 7 minutes in total. Quick and easy just a little pricey. Also I recommend submitting your appointment request online 1-2 days in advance. They won't approve your request if it's the same day unless you do it really early in the morning. read more

On Saturday, I scheduled an appointment online for Sunday afternoon. I even got a confirmation email about the appointment. When I showed up on Sunday, I was told that it would be at least a two hour wait because online appointments aren't considered real appointments and I should have called. I was told to come back today, Wednesday, at 11. I showed up today at 10:45 and was turned away. They said that they only had two mechanics scheduled and would not have time to get to my car at all. I was going in for an oil change, not a huge service. Two separate appointments not honored, absolutely ridiculous! My main criterion for auto repair places is honesty . . . and this place has that in abundance. Billy has been running it for over a decade now, under the previous name/ownership as well as the current one, and is always around to make sure things run smoothly. They do the job right the first time and at a fair price. They offer appointments for convenience, though this is their one weak area as estimated completion times usually are greater than they think so if you have to wait there for it, it may be a while. My last time there they told me one hour, but it was almost 2 hours before my car was ready (and it was just an oil change with a tire rotation). Came here instead of Pep boys like I usually do after moving across the street from this location. They convinced me I needed rotar disks on top of the brake pads I came in for. They also showed me a fake gauge of how my battery was "drained" and "could die at anytime" tried to charge me another 200 for battery and installation. Thankfully I said no and took it to pep boys. This is the results from pep boys. Battery at 100%. I wish mechanics wouldn't try and take advantage of females and over charge us for things we don't really need. I've been a customer at this Plantation location for over 10 years and the service has greatly declined. In March 2021, I replaced the AC compressor. In February 2020, the AC evaporator was replaced for my Toyota Sequoia Limited. In 2 months, the AC is still not working and I've spent over $3k in 14 months (This doesn't include the costs for various oil changes, tires for my SUV). I went to have the AC checked and was yelled at by Bob, the Manager and told that I can go to any of the over 3,000 stores. He continue to yell at my husband, even though we paid $1.2k in March 2021.
