They couldn't figure out what it was, so I took my car to Honest1 in Loveland. Ended up being the rear passenger wheel bearing. The scam is, my tires were never aligned. Upon replacing the bearing, Honest1 had to do a full alignment. Furthermore, the right rear wheel couldn't be fully aligned because the adjustment bolt was seized to the arm bushing. The cherry on top and final dot to connect was that when I picked up my car from Tires Plus, their printer "supposedly" had stopped working and couldn't print of my final alignment measurements. How convenient. But I was assured they were aligned. Absolutely, without question, they took my money for a service they never performed. And boldly lied to my face about it. DO NOT BUY TIRES OR ANY OTHER SERVICES FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!

Started my day off this morning with a flat tire. The pressure was about 60% of what it should be…read moreadded some air and at the end of my workday it had dropped another 10 psi. So I knew I had a puncture or tear. Took the car to the dealership and they saw a nail in the tire, but said I had to get a whole new tire versus doing a flat repair even though the nail was in a repairable area. They refused to repair it because it is a run flat, even though they had done it in the past. I've gone to tire discounters before I got this new car and always had a pleasant experience. I called the tire discounters at this Kenwood location from the dealership and asked if they could squeeze me in to do a flat repair. Mind it, it was already 5:15 PM and they close at 6 PM so I knew I was asking for a lot. However, the gentleman on the phone was very nice and asked how far I was and when I replied 6 minutes away, he said to come on in. Once I got there, the gentleman inside was very polite and helpful. He reassured me that the tire could be fixed based on the picture I showed him. They took me in right away and confirmed that the tire was repairable. Less than 20 minutes and I was out the door, barely sat down. To top it off, they didn't even charge me anything and had me on my way. This tire discounters location really knows how to lift people up when you are having a bad day since having to fix a flat is inconvenient and just starts your day off in a sad mood. I drove to the closest AAA, hoping at best to get some air in the tire so I could make it safely to my next stop. When I pulled in, Phil came outside right away and asked whether I needed air. I explained the situation, and he not only located the screw in my tire--showing me exactly where the issue was--he also told me he could plug it on the spot. Less than an hour and $31 (AAA discount ) later, I was back on the road. I hadn't expected the problem to be diagnosed and repaired immediately, but Phil and Cole took care of everything with patience, professionalism, and kindness. They've earned a new customer.

We had our Kia Sedona Van towed there since it was acting up - all "dummy Lights" (Check engine,…read moreetc.) were on. They determined that it was the Alternator & battery. After we drove away, the same thing happened a few days later. They checked things out again, made some adjustments and released the van to us. Again, the same thing happened again, so we had it towed to the Kia Dealer. The Dealer determined that the "After Market" Alternator was the problem and replaced it with a "Kia" Alternator, and things are fine now. This was an unusual problem, and they were very professional in how they handled everything. They agreed to reimburse us for the new alternator. Despite this problem, I would still do business with them and encourage others to use their services.

Update I am increasing my Meineke review from 1 star to 2…read morestars because they reached out to me and asked how they can make it right. They offered an oil change. I suggested the oil change (because they overfilled it), plus actually, you know, fixing the exhaust hole. They called me, unable to find the hole. I suggested they start the car and feel for exhaust. I hate that I, the non-mechanic, had to suggest that, but it worked and they found the hole. So they put a foil patch over it with a couple of clamps instead of replacing the pipe (See picture attached). So $800 gets a muffler, a bracket welded on, and a foil patch these days. It took three trips to Meineke plus one trip to another mechanic to fix the axle damage. Would I recommend them? No, no I would not. =============== My old muffler rusted through, so I went to Meineke to get it fixed. They did the work for a bit over $800 and sent us on our way. The car was still making a lot of noise, so we brought it back. They told us it was because the engine was low on oil and they topped it off and sent us away again. Now the oil is about an inch above the full line and it was still making all the noise. I took it to another mechanic and looked at it myself while it was on the lift. The picture of what I saw is attached. The muffler mount was rubbing directly against the rear axle. It wore through the metal clamp that held the boot in place. My mechanic bent it away from the axle and zip tied the boot back in place. That took care of 3/4 of the noise. The rest was because of a hole in the exhaust pipe about a 18" before the muffler. Next on my to-do list is to buy some replacement pipe and suction out some oil. This is basic stuff at a premium price and they couldn't even get it half right. I'm not impressed. I've attached a pic of the work, including the welding that looked like it was done by an amateur.

After the work was done, the passenger window still didn't work, and now the driver's side window doesn't work either. We paid $850 for the privilege of having them make a second window inoperable. When I raised this concern at the counter, the gentleman working there became noticeably defensive about questions regarding their decision making, specifically, why an expensive switch was replaced without first confirming there weren't other problems. I was frustrated that the car not only wasn't fixed, but came back in worse shape than when we dropped it off. This is a classic case of replacing a part and hoping for the best. No real diagnostic work. No accountability. Terrible customer service. I'm filing a charge-back and considering further remedies.
