I have had two incredible experiences with Firestone in Leominster. My first experience was with James to replace my tires. I explained what I was looking for and he provided options explaining the difference between them. The tires I chose weren't in stock at his location but he made a call, found the tires, had them delivered to this location and notified me when they had arrived setting up time that same day to have them done. Not only was I extremely pleased with the service, the tires are great as well! When the tires were done, I asked to take a look at the brakes. I had two conflicting opinions (not from Firestone). Not only did they take the time to look at the brakes, they provided me with an overview and estimate. I scheduled an appointment for the brakes and received the same outstanding service with Ramon and James. I would highly recommend Firestone. These were my first experiences and I was not disappointed with the services and the cost was within the range I was expecting. Great job Firestone! read more

We went to Firestone in Leominster, ma on Tuesday, July 18 for an alignment. I made the appt. on Wednesday, July 13 after a very bad experience at the Firestone Store in Shrewsbury (see review). We got to the store before 3:00 and were told they had our appt, but no reason for it (i.e. alignment(...who would take an appt. w/o a reason?). Told the manager I made the appt and did give the reason as well as details of my experience in SHrewsbury. Well...he had a car on the lift - apart - waiting for parts and then he had 2 cars for alignment before us as well as a 4:00 appt coming in.....(why didn't they call that person to let them know of the delays?) So, our 3:00 appt. would now be (1- 11/2 hr. for the car on the alignment lift), 1/2 - 3/4 hr. for each of the other 2 appts (11/2 hr.) or a total of 3 hrs. So, our 3:00 would become a 6:00 !!!!!! We left....others we spoke to would do the same. Second time we went for a contracted (previously paid for service)....is this just failure or refusal to provide a contracted service - it makes you wonder. I would not recommend doing business with this organization. read more

The so called "mechanics" at this Firestone location will "fix" something completely not related to the issue with your vehicle then when you go and actually get the vehicle fixed somewhere else they will refuse to give you your money back! In the process you'll spend over a week arguing with their corporate "customer service team" who will only tell you that you need to wait 48 hours for a regional manager to call you. Big surprise that call never came. Then tell you to wait another 72 hours for someone from their corporate team to call you. Meanwhile still hanging on to the $800 that you initially spent for them to "fix" something that actually only cost $600 to fix correctly. I am not sure what has happen to this location but the service has declined. This used to be my go to shop for maintenance and repairs. My last two visits have been bad. Had my 2016 Jeep in for an oil change and got home to discover the filter was not tight at all and I lost 4 quarts of oil in two days. Then I had them put on my tires a few months later for the same car and suddenly I had not one but two tpms go bad. When I asked why they told me it was a computer issue and not their fault. Funny thing was I was at the dealership that morning and everything was fine and now almost 4 hours for a two hour job they tell me it's not their problem. I will never recommend them to anyone again and will sadly have to find a shop I can trust. read more

A lot of places will often push additional services; while I was informed of my car needing the brakes replaced, I didn't feel pressured by Alex. His Customer Service skills were superb; always keeping me updated with the status of my car every step of the way! I was informed upon arrival that it may be a bit of a wait, my car received an alignment and tire rotation as well as my mothers' car getting all four tires replaced simultaneously and they were finished in a flash! I went on the Firestone site, entered the make and model of my car, chose a battery from the list of "compatible" options, chose the Leominster location and requested an appointment. Easy peasy. I got a notice that the Leominster location would review the request and send me a confirmation if all checks out. They did. Awesome, right? Today was my appointment. I called to let them know I'd be late. The guy I spoke with was super friendly and funny, I'll give them that. He said just show up whenever, it'll be a nice quick battery change. Perfect. I arrived at the same time as a bunch of food. I thought how nice it was of Firestone to feed their employees on a Saturday. Until I realized that the whole place stopped running. Every single employee in the place was sitting at a table together in the shop like a family Thanksgiving. Meanwhile, the customers are sitting in the waiting room watching them eat through the big glass window while their cars remain untouched. I love the cute group meal, but someone's gotta be working on the cars that have people waiting. Or at least throw us a ravioli. ;) Anyways, I dealt with it, figuring hey when all is said and done I'm getting a great deal on a desperately needed new battery. An hour later, I see my car pull back out into the parking lot and I'm excited to get back on the road with a new battery. Then one of the employees came out and told me "Oh, by the way, that battery YOU selected doesn't fit your car. Sorry, we can't help you today. Apparently your car's battery is dealer issue only. We called out for some prices for you. It's about 3 times the price, and we can't get it here til Tuesday. Should we book that appointment?" When I tried to clarify that they were talking about the regular 12volt battery and not the hybrid one, another guy jumped in and responded very rudely, like I was an idiot who dare question them. They then asked again if I want to book that appointment. How they could think I would want anything to do with them is beyond me. It's like the guy who gets hammered and hits on your mom and then asks for a second date. No thanks, buddy. They're not wrong. I now know that my battery is a stupid dealer-only model. However, that battery was shown to me as an option on the Firestone website (not Leominster's fault), then confirmed by their location through email and phone (their fault). Then I sit for an hour while they cram their craws and take their sweet time to tell me I'm SOL and act like it's my fault for not knowing any better. I'm not Handy Manny, that's why I was coming here in the first place. Incredible waste of time. Unless you enjoy watching people eat from a glass window and being talked to like a moron. These people are CROOKS. My daughter brought her vehicle in for some front end / brake noise, Firestone quoted over $700 dollars to replace ball joints, control arms, tie rods and brake pads. Went and got a 2nd opinion from a another highly reputable repair shop that was recommend by a friend, and none of that need to be repaired. Only needed alignment and brake adjustment. Will NEVER go to Firestone again. If I could post this review with NO Stars I would. The also charge for the recommends hour it should take to complete the job not the actual job. If the book states the task is a 2 hour job and it only took them 1 - you get charged for 2. read more

First thing, if you go online and set up an appointment to get tires from these folks, call and make sure they have the tires you want in stock in time for your appointment. My one complaint, and that's just smart to do, anyway. My mistake, and you can learn from it. There you go. I can't even blame the branch for that. Blame the website. I switched to Firestone after Sears auto closed. At first, their friendliness was very welcoming as I switched mechanics. But everytime I've brought my cars in, I've had to go back to fix issues. Dash lights coming on, power steering blowing out after front end work, oil leaks and incorrectly installed gaskets, forgetting to attach wires. Firestone has fixed some of these issues without admitting fault even once stating "we don't think we cause the issue, but we did work near that area so it's not completely impossible, but we don't think it was us." Have been bringing our cars to other Firestones for years (in MA and out of state), but this particular location isn't worth the trouble. First off, the staff is rude and unprofessional. Very unpleasant to deal with. The woman I spoke with (twice) didn't seem to know which way was up. I was trying to get in for an oil change and she couldn't tell me if they could even get me in that day. She said "come on down just in case" and when I called back to check on timing, she still wasn't sure. I recently visited Firestone to have an inspection, belts changed, and an oil change. I was told it would take 1.5 hours. I was exhausted from a long day at work, so I asked them to call me as soon as it was done. I came back to the shop after 2 hours and NO phone call to see my car on the lift. I was told that they "forgot" to get my car in. Then, they told me no work was done on the car. I requested to leave immediately. 2.75 precious hours I will never get back. They sent me an email survey about the service. I told the honest truth. I got a call a couple hours later from Mike (he runs the shop) He offered to do the work for free. I think that was pretty good service on Mike's part. The work got done slow, but for free. I also noticed that they never replaced the cap on my antifreeze when I looked under the hood yesterday. That was the last thing I went there for before this recent incident. read more

I arrived around 1:45 pm, spoke to Chris about my needs, and was told that my vehicle would be pulled in in 45 minutes and it will take another 30 minutes to put new tires on. At 4:10 pm I expressed my concern again so my vehicle was pulled in inside work area immediately and the job was completed in another 30 to 40 minutes . I had an extremely important appointment to make that I scheduled two weeks back. I needed to be at that place at 4 pm. Had I known that their promise of 45 minutes wait would swell to 2 hours and 25 minute wait before the start of the job I would not have stayed here at all. Do not trust their word on timing. I feel pretty bad about it because I was put in an embarrassing situation as I could not keep my scheduled commitment. I must however appreciate Chris that he apologized about the delay and gave me a significant discount even though I did not ask for it. The job was done right. I have no complaints about the quality of the work. It is just that time commitments should be handled with a lot more care - especially if someone mentions that they have other commitments afterwards. read more

When it comes to cars, I know a fair amount to do basic troubleshooting but actual repairs are out of my league, so I try to find a trustworthy, reasonable, reliable mechanic and stay with them. That's fine for regular, planned maintenance, but even the best laid plans fail. Case in point when I was driving home from work (30 minute commute): My engine started to over heat very quickly. Of course, this happens on a Friday night. My normal mechanic isn't open on weekends. After pulling over and under the light of my cell phone, I see fluid everywhere. Over heating engine indicates said fluid is coolant. Triple AAA's "certified auto shops" aren't open on weekends either. Great. I remembered that Firestone is open on weekends, so I opted to have my car towed there. Once there, filled out the envelope with all info, dropped in my key, and called it a night. Even as I waited for my ride, I was hesitant about this because I have been told the results from Firestone is hit or miss. What's done is done though. I assumed a hose or clamp went given coolant was everywhere and the event was sudden. So when I get a call Saturday morning from Firestone stating I need a new radiator, I was skeptical. My car is 7 years old and not even 70K miles on it. I need the car, I'm home bound so I can't actually see the radiator, so I'm stuck. I agree to the repair to the estimated tune of $700-$750. That call was at around 7:30-8 in the morning. I was told they had to order a new radiator and it wouldn't arrive for a few hours. I'm forecasting this to be all set and done at around 2-3PM since they close at 6PM. 4PM and no word. I call. They wrong part was sent, that was rectified, but now they are having trouble getting the radiator back in. I get it, cars nowadays are not easy to work on, but again, I'm skeptical. I was able to secure a ride at around 4:30PM and decided to show up in person. "Still working on it" is the answer I get. ETR is now about an hour. I ran an errand since my ride was willing to drive me to kill time. I return just after 5PM and it was "almost done". Roughly 20 minutes later, the car is done. I pay and left happy to put this behind me...or so I thought. I get home and I notice a few drips. Given coolant was everywhere, I thought this was residual coolant coming out of nooks and crannies. I gave it about a week, but the drips still occur. The reservoir was also noticeably below the 'full cold" line in the morning at the end of the week. Topped it off and called Firestone who told me to come in. I went in the next day and they took the car right away. In about an hour, it was determined a clamp wasn't on correctly/securely. It is now apparently and I was on my way. No charge. Given when I went through, I'm leery now about the repair. I kept an eye on it, no obvious drips and the coolant level seemed stable for about two weeks. Week three comes and the coolant is leaking like before. I don't need a crystal ball to know what the cause is so I figure I'd stop in to Firestone and they would take me right away. Oh, no....I was asked if I could leave the car (nope, can't). I offer to come in the next day bright and early. They said I could do that but I'd have to leave the car; can't wait for it because they'd be working me in between appointments. I'm not happy to say the least. I dropped $700 on a repair I'm now convinced wasn't needed (radiator was probably fine, hoses/clamps not so much probably), came back once because it wasn't done right, and now I'm back for round three for the same issue and I'm asked to leave my car for presumably all day only to hope that third time is the charm and it'll be fixed permanently? Not having it. I have a life and need to get to work and I was done dealing with this clear incompetency. I walked out and have dealt with this issue elsewhere. The angle clamp was improperly attached and has been corrected in less time it would take Firestone. I can't recommend Firestone, at least not this location. Your best bet is to find an independent mechanic you can trust and who takes pride in their craftsmanship. You'll rarely get this at chains as Firestone shows. read more

July 14, Sun am. My kid had my car for a while, so I was very distraught to see the check engine light and to see how overdue it was for an oil change as I was heading out for a two hour trip. I pulled into Firestone in Leominster and the guy at the front desk offered to check my oil saying everyone was busy. I followed him to the car. He checked it and said it was fine. I proceeded to go on my trip with the idea of getting my oil changed on Monday morning. When my husband got in my car that day, he was shocked at how it sounded and discovered it completely bone dry! Lucky I didn't ruin my car driving it with no oil. Really disappointed in Firestone. At BEST- completely incompetent to send me away like that; At WORST- very shady! I have been getting car care for on my cars for many years with great satisfaction. But for the last Honda Civic Hybrid I decided to get the service at the Honda dealer. But now we bought an used 2016 Mazda CX5 I went back to Firestone. When I called to ask questions on what needs to be done and cost I was greeted by a very pleasant and knowledgeable Nic. He explained all my required maintenance items and prices included special promotions. This ended up being a big saving over a local Mazda dealer. This morning when I brought the car I was greeted by another friendly staff Mike. The car was all done sooner than I expected. I knew the job was well done by Ed, my long time favorite mechanic. I should mention that the Life Time Alignment is absolutely the best deal that Firestone offers that no other car care centers can match. I had all my cars in the past had this feature. I really love these folks. They've been taking care of my old Ford for a couple years now, and I really value and trust their opinions and their work. I've been to a lot of mechanics over the years and these guys are among the best. Of course I wish they were cheaper, but don't we ALL wish that about the work we get done on our cars? After two hours I looked out the window and saw my car outside next a garage bay door. I asked the service rep what is the car status. The sales rep walked away and another sales rep said the car was ready. He said he called my house to let me know the car was ready. He apologized for me not telling me at the waiting area. I paid for and did receive a complete car inspection. The new service rep said if the form was not marked there is nothing wrong. I know that was not true as the rear strut needs replacing. Well I must admit, this was my first time going to Firestone, In Searstown, and I was very impressed. They treated me with respect and super friendly, I had made an appointment and we know how that can go. No problem here, I had 4 tires mounted and front end aligned and was super quick. I would highly recommend Firestone Complete Auto Care to all. The price are good too. I had shopped around for almost 2 weeks and was happy with my 60k tires. I will be coming back again, If I had to give a rating of 1 thru 10, I would give it a 12... Awesome service. This review is for only the Firestone Complete Auto Care in Leominster. BTW I put my review on to Firestone and three days later it still has not been posted on their site. Sounds to me like they are scared. I would not trust these people with a wrench ever! Please read the entire review and you decide. I bought tires from Tire Rack and had them delivered to Firestone Complete Auto Care in Leominster MA. This review if on them and them alone. The tires were delivered on time. I set up to get Firestone to do an alignment as this was a complete replacement of wheels and tires. Two months go by and I now need to do a tire rotation. The very first tire I started on (I have air compressor and impact gun so I do my own rotations) I could not get one of the lugs off. It started and about 1/3 of the way off it stopped and would not move anymore to come off. I could only put it back to tight. I returned the car to them because I know they were going to have to replace the lug or their impact guns were going to twist it off. Needless to say 5 hours goes by and I have 4 broken lug bolts which they replaced. They could not find replacement lugs so I got them from Tire Rack at no cost. BTW Tire Rack is great. If you need tires and wheels go there first. So Firestone hands me two free oil changes which I will not ever use. I plan on returning them after what I am about to say. After all of that I am driving missing 4 lug nuts out of 20 one from each wheel, They told me that they had only broke 2. I ordered 4 because that was what was missing and tire rack sent them no charge. I go to put them on my car. 1 of the replacement lugs is stripped and will not accept the lug. I go to my last tire and find one seems to be not all the way on. This is one of theirs. I take my wrench and it will not come off nor will it go all the way on. If I could go to a negative number I would. If you are reading this and are considering taking your car here please rethink. I am recommending Tire Rack drop them as a preferred shop. I would rather have my daughter work on my car. She at least knows enough not to put a lug nut on except by hand and if it don't easily turn on to the end then back off. Needless to say I now need to get someone to remove another lug and I have not checked them all yet. I will do that before I ask Tire Rack to send more. A follow up to this review. Tire Rack is reviewing Firestone and will talk to coporate headquarters. I do not know if they will remove them but I do hope that no one ever goes to this particular one without watching everything they do on your car. If they suggest brakes go someplace else. Do not trust them to do the job right. I am sorry I have to review a business like this but after what I experienced I just had to. Also Tire Rack is sending me a complete set of lug nuts for my car. I will be replacing the damaged wheel studs as quickly as I can. I do not know how much that is going to cost me. Today is the 24th of Aug and I want to add more. I checked the remaining three tires and found two studs actually cut short. All of the studs show signs of grinding and cross threading. All of the remaining lug nuts have damage to them. I honestly wish I could post pictures. It is just unacceptable that this business is allowed to put peoples lives at risk with shoddy work. I sure hope no one gets hurt. For those who think I have a vendetta against this shop, possibly at this point but until the second visit and the results of what I am left with in damages to my Buick Lacrosse and the peace of mind I have lost because of driving on wheels not at full safe state I hope you understand. Oh one more point. After contacting Firestone with the understanding that a manager would call me back today but that didn't happen. Tire Rack did though. I have nothing but praise for how Tire Rack has treated me and this situation. Please if you have had work done here check it. If you are thinking of having work done here re-think it. I had no idea what time it was when I pulled into Firestone until I read the sign on the door, checked my clock and thought "Oh God, they're gonna hate me" when I saw it was 6:48. They close at 7! I walked in the doors and was greeted by a very kind employee named Kyle. Kyle is an office tech or something along those lines. I told him the valve stem on my tire was worn and was hissing so if I didn't do anything then and there I wasn't getting home. To paint the picture more clearly, I had enough air in my tire to get my car from the parking spot to in front of the garage door and then i parked it and it leveled to the ground. By this time it was at least 7:15, Kyle searched and searched for a tool he needed to help repair my tire but couldn't find it; but man oh man when I say he looked, he really looked. Finally, after it couldn't be found he generously offered to put on my donut for me, this isn't even his position to do these things. Kyle did it anyway and gave me a time to come back and get my original tire repaired. When I asked him what I owed he told me I was all set. I left the parking lot about 7:30 or so, I've worked in customer service and I hate to be that guy who holds someone up, but Kyle was really the man and did not make me feel like I was holding him up at all. He was just completely kind and definitely an employee this Firestone should be very proud to have on their team! read more

Absolute worst place. Got a tune-up unnecessarily. ( Ford suggests tune-up at 100,000 at the time it was only 70,000) They stripped my spark plug and used parts not suggested for my Explorer. Previously they put four new tires. I drove my Ford Explorer in shop. My SUV had to towed home. The smoke was horrible and the smell. I was afraid my SUV would explode. After having to towed to Townsend Ford they discovered my wires melted and parts were not compatible. When Firestone was confronted with the issue They said " Ford has a Silent Recall". It was silent alright Ford never heard of such a thing. Sadly, with a name such as Firestone I assumed they were trust worthy. Not the case. After Townsend ford told them it was their fault they did pay the first bill but ended up having to have all other parts they installed replaced. They said they would send me a gift certificate.
