They tried to take payment for service and let me leave without having actually done the service. Don't go here. I dropped my car off in the morning for an alignment. I asked if it would be done by the end of the day and they told me yes. I came back at the end of the day to pick it up. Guy behind the counter told me there was an issue with the system, so he could charge me now but wouldn't be able to send a receipt until the next day. He also told me there was no information about my car in the system, but blamed it on the mechanics not entering information. I asked for a record that they had actually done the service. It wasn't until then that he checked if it had actually been done - it had not been. Poorly run operation, and just after your money. read more

Got greeted and attended very well here. Perry was very helpful and knowledgeable. This place is very small I've never seen a Firestone that's small before. Also the place was clean and neat. Moreover I had an appointment so I was there for only 40 minutes which was great. Also they have the car care package and it's only $9.99 which awesome. Pretty they just check what your car needs in general. Which I needed Tire rotation. In addition Perry also included what my car will need in the future which was vete nice of him. We needed to get some repairs to our son;s car that isn't worth much, but was all he had. We wanted to help him get it safe, and explained that to both FIrestone locations we went to. We went to this Firestone on Delaware after getting a ridiculous $4,000 quote from the FIrestone in Carmel. Same work was quoted; two tires, wheel bearing, brakes (pads and rotors), bracke fluid flush, two tires, and an oil change. $1,500 here. Wow. All Firestones are not the same. Monty was a true gem. Personable, honest, listed to what we wanted and prompt to respond. Can't say enough about how great he was - I will come back just for him. (I've waited weeks to post this review. I wanted Firestone to have every opportunity to personally resolve this.) I've taken all four of my vehicles to this location for a few years now. The most recent time resulted in a surreal and incredibly dishonest experience. My Nissan 350 ZX convertible was in for service. When I was informed that it was ready to go, I told management that I wouldn't be back in town for another five days. Upon my return, I picked up my car and later that day, discovered a sweaty XXXL tshirt (I wear a size L) that I have never seen before, in the passenger floorboard. This was of course troubling, but it got worse. That same night, I opened the trunk and discovered a pair of shoes that I've never seen in my life. At that point, it became clear that someone, knowing I was in Philadelphia at the time, "borrowed" my car for the weekend. (I'm often away when my vehicles are ready to go, so it wasn't out of the ordinary that my car would be sitting there for a few days or a week.) This is the only logical explanation for two items of clothing being in two different locations, one of those locations being inside of a locked trunk. I sent a reasonable, professional email to Bridgestone, making it explicitly clear that I was not seeking money or reimbursement, only that someone look into the situation and tell me not only why an employee took my car home with them, but also why they were either too stupid or too drunk to remember to retrieve their clothing. I initially received two generic bot-generated emails. Upon multiple follow ups, I finally received an email from the district manager, Cliff Freeman. I left four voice mails, as well as two personal messages for him, each of which was personable and respectful. He refused to return my calls. Finally I went into the store to speak (again, professionally and respectfully) with the store manager, who I knew well from previous visits. I couldn't leave fast enough for him, and his wllingness to dig into the situation matched that of Mr. Freeman. If I had any doubts about what took place before I stopped in (I did not) I certainly had no doubts afterward. In a business where dishonesty is often the law of the land, my experience with this store and this company have reached a new high (low). I'm disgusted with the situation, but more than that, I'm incredibly disappointed with the lack of effort by district management to even speak to me, much less look into who "borrowed" (stole) my car. I've taken my work and personal vehicles to Firestones all over the country for decades. I'll never again stray from dealerships. They are a bit more expensive, but I have no desire to live out another Ferris Bueller scenario. read more

I drove there to get my tire pressure checked. I pulled into the bay and got out of my car and waited. A middle-aged overweight manager saw that I was waiting and decided to continue engaging in his conversation with a fellow worker. He even looked at me a couple of times and didn't even give me the courtesy of saying I'll be with you in a minute or at least holding his finger up to acknowledge me. Then the phone rang and he proceeded to answer it as if I weren't even standing there. When I called out for assistance to make sure that I was in the right place, he grunted something about you'll have to wait a minute. He sent a worker over to assist me although it seemed begrudgingly. I would not recommend this fire stone location based on its customer service. Monty and Perry and the guys at Firestone have been fantastic! I brought my car in after my brakes went out and got a call back the very next morning with a detailed explanation of what had gone wrong. They were very patient with me as it took me a day or two to arrange payment. Once I was able to okay the repairs they had my car done the same day. They were very honest and listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. I have had questionable experiences at a different Firestone, but Monty and the guys have brought me back around. I've been using various Firestone stores since I have had a car and I'm glad to have found the downtown store. UPDATE... after picking my car up I hit a pothole within the first week of having it back. I brought it back to get my tire patched and my alignment checked. Once again, the team at Firestone were on top of it. I dropped it off in the evening and they had it done in the next day by noon. I called Monty with questions that were probably kindergarten level, and he patiently answered them all. Once again it was a great experience. Noticing a nail in your tire at 5 pm on a Sunday afternoon is certainly one way to ruin a weekend, but a quick Yelp search for "tire repair" near my home and I was on my way to Firestone at 6:30 am the next morning to put it behind me. First things first.. although they open at 6:30 in the morning, the technician who does the work doesn't actually get there until 7. Had I known this, I could have slept in another half hour. Once he arrived though, it only took about 10 minutes (and $30) to plug my tire, and I was on the road again. Unfortunately, I value sleep quite a bit, so I'm deducting a few stars because there wasn't a tech there during their opening business hours. read more

Service was quicker than expected giving the highly populated location (conveniently located three blocks from my apartment so I could walk home while they worked on it). I've been to this Firestone location a handful of times. I usually go to this place or the Goodyear just a few blocks north of this location (as it's right next to my work and a 1/2 mile from my apartment). I recently fell victim to the great Indy Pothole monster, so I priced out a couple of places to check out the best deal. At first, Firestone did give me a much higher quote, but I let them know that I was no longer interested as I found a cheaper option at Goodyear. They quickly priced adjusted the price for me, saving me about $10. Sadly, that $10 saved was spent on the time and frustrating of me having to take my car back in for a second time because they didn't fix the issues I had requested when dropping the car off. I had a flat tire, which they repaired nicely. I also had a screeching sound coming from the same area where the flat was. Upon driving my car home, the sound was even worse, so I had to take it back in immediately after getting home. Luckily, they repaired it at no cost (which is part of their guarantee if they don't fix it the first time, bring it back in and they'll fix it, for free). Three things I loved about this location: 1- the super fast price guarantee that they offered once i let them know i was going elsewhere to another competitor; 2- they had a woman working!!! I know it sounds silly, but I am so so so happy to see gender diversity in places that are predominately men. It's reassuring; 3- the service was very apologetic upon finding out they didn't fix it right the first time and they made sure to get the car done ASAP both times i had to take it in. read more

After going to three different places that didn't have my tire size, this location did have the two I needed. Went in for a repair. $500 later I picked up my car. Same problem. Another visit, $100, A new problem. They reported they adjusted the part.. Left, within a hundred feet the check engine light came on. Called shop, they don't do engine work? Eventually was told to take the car to the near NE of downtown Indianaolis, for a free inspection, They said the part , that the "adjusted" needed to be replaced. The engine could be ruined if I continued to drive the car. The car has remained parked since I got back from the shop.I now own a 2000 pound paper weight. Cancelled specialist appointments and needed test. I am now having to save money to take it to another shop. Wrote to the BBB, no action...yet. OH! On the first reciept, they list repairs done to another car. So, what car did they actually work on? Did they actually "adjust" the part on my car? Sloppy, very sloppy and worrisome error. Over the past couple years I've had to bring my truck here multiple times for flat repairs and such. They are always super busy, being downtown, so sometimes it is hard to get on the schedule. But if you drop your vehicle off in the morning, they should be able to fit you in. They are very efficient and the service is great. They almost always get my work done within one day and if not, they can order parts and have it done within a couple days. Highly recommend if you need to take your vehicle somewhere downtown. read more

I hate having to write this review. For the past several years, this Firestone has been nothing but 5 stars all the way for me. I love the convenience of it being close to home and work. It's my go-to for new tires, oil changes, balancing, etc. I'd had nothing but excellent experiences here - the staff is always super friendly, prices are reasonable, love the complimentary shuttle, etc. HOWEVER, when I went two weeks ago and they incorrectly diagnosed my car needing $1648 worth of work, I lost all faith in them. I went in to get 2 new tires, replacement of one valve stem and front/rear brake pads. Work that was estimated at approximately $750. I get a call from them that they absolutely cannot change my brake pads without also replacing the rotors, calibers and the tire pressure sensor. The new total was $1648. Feeling I needed a second opinion and knowing some of this may be covered under my extended warranty, I told them I was going to pick up my car, take it into Hyundai and get back with them. Hyundai determined I did not have bad calibers, nor did I need new rotors. The tire pressure sensor was covered under warranty. Instead of paying $1648 for work I didn't need, I paid $536 at Hyundai for a tire pressure sensor, two new tires, new break pads, an alignment and also a new column shaft in my steering wheel (also covered under warranty). Merry Christmas to me with $1112 extra at Christmas time for getting an honest second opinion. Please beware if you go here. I highly recommend them for some things (like oil changes), but if they claim you need more, get a second opinion!! read more

Took my 2001 dakota truck in for a balance and rotate. Got a call and they said my bearing assembly was bad ($400). I SPECIFICALLY asked bob if it was bad bearing or if it was a loose bolt or something. He immediately said " no its a bad bearing". Being a shade tree mechanic I took it home and found , surprise , not only a loose bolt but a missing bolt!! The three bolts that hold the bearing assembly are easily visible by a simple glance behind the wheel. I am not saying they do poor repairs, I am saying that I don't trust them, and with car repairs, you HAVE to trust your mechanic! 99% of customers would have unnecessarily paid $400 for something not needed. Therefore I cannot recommend downtown firestone. read more

What do you do when you get the dreaded "I just parked next to your car and there is a huge nail in your tire..." text? Head to yelp to find the closest repair shop with decent reviews. I made the call, and the man who answered the phone was super friendly and told me to drive on in. I had been meaning to replace a few tires anyway (dang Indiana potholes!), so I decided to have them thoroughly check for damage on all tires. Ended up needing two new tires. I told them to throw in an alignment and an oil change. The price was about $440 for those services. My car had been riding a little funny lately, so I asked them to take a look while my car was in the shop. They were able to translate my vague description of what was wrong ("Well it kind of goes this way when I want to go that way, you know what I'm talking about?") and diagnosed the problem quickly. New front and rear struts set me back a pretty penny, but my car drives like new again. All in all, I was very happy with my experience. Now, I can't tell you if I got a fair price because I honestly don't know what a "good deal" is, and I always worry I get the "woman markup". I got two new tires, an alignment, an oil change and new rear and front struts for about $1700. What I can tell you is that I was treated with respect and my car was worked on and ready within three hours. I hope I never have to come back, but I know where to go next time I need car care on the quick! read more

Dropped my car off for an oil change on a Friday (corporate holiday) - so it was a little bit busier. The gentlemen that all helped me were TERRIFIC - so friendly, knowledgable, and NOT pushy. (Which you can tend to get at an auto care center.) They called me when my car was ready (earlier than expected finish time) - and were a pleasure to deal with on pickup as well. Oil was changed, oil light reset, and pockets weren't wiped clean! Very successful day! I will certainly be a regular here moving forward! read more

I went in a few months ago bc the "low pressure" light went on. The guy didn't even look at the car but told me I needed to repair my tires. I did not do that but did get air. This morning, the light came on again and I was on my way to work so that was the closest place. Again, I was told (pre-look) I needed a repair. I pulled the car into the bay and I told them each tire should be at 38 psi. The young man filled some, took air out of others (saying they were over-inflated). When I turned the motor over the light was still on. He said it would take some driving. Never had before. The light stayed on until I got to the office and the entire way to driving to DISCOUNT TIRE where I learned the tires were at 32, 35, 31, 30 psi. I don't know how they treat men, but I have a feeling this had something to do with being a woman. Or maybe they are jerks to everyone. read more

Firestone quoted my 2005 Vibe for new brakes, rotors, 'brake service', serpentine belt for over $650. As ridiculous as this may sound, they also quoted $49 of labor to change a $10 headlight bulb. Needless to say, I got a second and third opinion from local businesses - both easily beating Firestone. Ralph's on 16th did all of the work mentioned above on a Saturday morning for $288. The staff at Ralph's were friendly and willing to work with the customer. Ralph's will have my continued business and my recommendation to friends and family. Took my car there for a simple tire pressure adjustment and was told they couldn't get to it. I did get there 15 minutes before their close time, but I had spent close to an hour in the downtown traffic trying to get there. I was told to bring my car the next day and they would get to it. The worst firestone! Walked in and said hi and the store manager didn't say hi back. Ask how can he help me in a rude tone. I asked for an oil change and said he didn't have the parts for it. I asked what parts would you need. He rudely said oil filter! I know that if they don't have the parts in stock they order parts from autozone, advance, etc etc. Then he told me they can't service my car and it's against company since i had to replace the motor he can't service my vehicle! I asked him this must be his own policy because this isn't a company policy, so you don't work on any vehicles that do not have the original motor???? Sounds like discrimination! I asked for the district manager number he said i don't have a number to give you and we not allowed to give it out. It sad that store managers still are allowed to deviate from the company plan and strategies. Went in on 6/15/18 about 1pm to try and have my check engine light scanned (pull the code), and is advertised as a "free" service but the lady that works here told me that the store manager don't allow them to do the service at that location. I asked if I can do it myself and she said Corp won't allow us. Then i ask do you follow Corp rules or you don't. Corp day you scan codes but now you're telling me you won't do it. This location needs help from upper management it's being ran like a franchise or the store manager personal store not in line with what Corp say they should do read more

Firestone has a convenient downtown location with ample parking, walkable distance to some entertainment while you wait for your vehicle. The front desk workers are friendly and will give you a time estimate for when the service should be done, and they will call you if they find any other issues. Firestone is more expensive than other car care locations I've found as far as labor. They also charged me for a "corrosion cleaning," and when I went to pick up my vehicle, the battery was dead. A man named Roberto came to jumpstart the battery and commented on the corrosion present - which I PAID FOR THEM TO CLEAN apparently. He said, "I don't know what to tell you." when confronted about the issue. Didn't offer to diagnose the problem with my battery, and he only provided the service I paid for because I was persistent that I wasn't leaving until it was resolved. This concerns me that I've been taken advantage of other times at this establishment and hadn't realized. I'm not pleased with that experience. read more

In early September, my TPS sensor went off as I was driving. As it happened, I was very close to this Firestone and drove there in 2 minutes flat. Joyce was AWESOME. I was ready to replace two tires before the TPS sensor went off and that's what ended up happening. My original Michelin tires had dry rot after 60K miles. I'm religious about maintenance on my car! Had two tires put on while I was at work and an alignment. It was painless (except for the wallet) and the shuttle was very efficient. I received a phone call after my vehicle was inspected and was not subjected to the typical 'upselling' that occurs at some shops.
