The people at Firestone are really friendly and accommodating. This place stays packed -- they always have business. They're right next door to Chick-fil-A and Walmart Marketplace, so you can't miss it. One thing I noticed is it's pretty simple to qualify for their service card, and I think that's a big reason why they stay so busy. When it's hard to get credit anywhere else, they make it easier for you to get your car fixed. Their prices are on the high side, but the work is good quality. The building is nice and clean, and the staff makes you feel welcome. So if you've got decent credit and need some car work done, give them a try. They'll take care of you. read more

First and last visit. Needed a pressure check which they performed. They asked that I pull the car in front of a bay on other side. The mechanic found my tire was 10 pounds low and did a great job of getting me where it should be. No charge., My issue is having the car pulled into an area full of debris. DONT GO HERE. At first it was super nice and friendly and showed me everything that was wrong with my car, but that's the sweet catch. They try to show you stuff that's wrong with your car to make you feel stupid or if you don't know what they're talking about make you shake your head like you're agreeing to a bad haircut when you know it's bad but you don't wanna say anything. Trust me listen to their reviews. It would've save me $50. The issue with my car was just my rear brakes and tires. They tried to say it was my rotors, and they also try to see my car had a leak near the engine. These people know a guinea pig when they see one. Please make sure you have someone experience with cars if you decide to go at this place to call them out on their bullshit. Listen to the reviews I should've never came here. First and last visit. I came in for an inspection got there the earliest they told us we could at 10am to drop off our car. We didn't expect it to take all day but it took from 10am-3pm just for an inspection. We checked out payed our $20 and was told we would get a text or email with all the info. Still haven't received nothing. And guess what our check engine light came on after leaving. Not to mention the "safety stop" on the main doors before entering the shop stated that everyone needed to wear safety glasses, I didn't see a single worker following this rule. Now to mention one of the workers came in telling everyone to make sure they were on top of it because of corporate going store to store. They still didn't put them on. Location, location, location. I have service done at Firestone for my two cars, however I visited this location to get my mother's state inspection done. I wasn't really in a rush but o asked my normal questions as they didn't have an active line waiting for an inspection like other Firestones. How many vehicles are waiting to be inspected and is the state inspector also working repairs on vehicles. Only a car in the bay that is being inspected and he is only responsible for inspections. Awesome. About 30 minutes to hour? Response"Should be". No worries it's about 12:15pm so I'll grab a bite an Outback. Finish eating at 2:30 as I had a few drinks while I watched a tennis match, walked to Marshall's to kill a little more time. Return at 3:15 and car is in the same place. I ask the young lady at the counter if the inspector is still "Actively " working on inspections? Yes she stated, looking like I was bothering her with my inquiry. Can I get the name of the inspector? Puzzled looking on her face. Ummm?!?! Don't worry about it please give me my keys and thank you. Don't go here. I went in for my state inspection yesterday, they said I needed rear break pads and rotors replace and quoted $550. I went to another place today and they said my rear looked fine. A Norfolk Firestone location previously charged me $800 for a "cracked radiator causing a leak". The place I went to today said it should have been a $400 repair. The integrity at this location is questionable After my experience here, I would suggest anyone looking for services to get a second opinion before proceeding with getting anything fixed. I am a young college student who came here by myself requesting help with my vehicle. I honestly feel that this Firestone tried to take advantage of me being that I was alone. If you want to recieve services from a professional company--a company with integrity--a company that will not take advantage of you--create "problems" with your vehicle so that they may "fix it--I would NOT recommend coming here. My experience: The service I requested was simply a diagnostic report. After paying for the service, I proceeded to leave the lot and my car would not start. I questioned the person at the desk--how was I am to drive here but now you're preventing me from leaving? He went to a another room & talked to one of their mechanics for a while. The mechanic then tried to jump start the battery in my truck but OF COURSE--it did not start. We were in the pouring rain the entire time. After 3 tries, all he did was shake his head & left me standing in the rain with my key and truck intentionally put back together incorrectly This Firestone wanted me pay 3k for a service I did not need, when I declined, they made it so that I would NOT be able to leave the lot. I had to get it towed to another dealership! And to my suprise the towing company was magically able to start the truck? And the other dealership reported that there was nothing wrong with the truck--it was purposely put together improperly! I have never had any issues with Firestone in South Carolina--but this particular location has given me the worst experience thus far. Made appointment for alignment 5/2/2025, 2:00PM, I was 10 minutes early. Drove in and parked , went to desk, all good. I left to have late lunch next door. A 2:20PM I received a call to come get truck , it couldn't be aligned, too much play in one front end component. Man said he would show me. First thing he show me was I now had NO power steering! Never showed me the component, which everything underneath was BRAND NEW installed yesterday! I checked the power steering fluid and it was bone dry and was leaking on the pavement. I told him he must have pinched a hose and could I have some fluid, I drove in and now I could not drive away. He refused to give or sell me any fluid. I barely made it to an Auto Zone across the parking lot. He told me NOT TO COME BACK !!! Unreal.... I'm trying to get in touch with Corporate's office. I've bought some tires a few time and even have one of their cards. I have a business with 18 employees and I will never go there again and none of my employees either. I've had to come here twice during COVID pandemic, the first time urgently when I needed a flat tire replaced. Both times they were professional and prompt, with accurate estimates and updates. Charity in particular went above and beyond the call of duty, calling around to other stores and driving to the Norfolk store to pick up tires that would fit my car, and letting me know when they were available. I did have one delay dropping my car off on Friday and getting a call Saturday that it wouldn't be done until Sunday, but they called me relatively early to let me know. In addition, there is an app which tracks maintenance on the car done at Firestone, which is helpful for keeping track of things like lifetime alignment if you've moved, like I have. I'll definitely be back next time I need work on my car! read more

Worst service ever. The girl at the front is extremely rude. My appointment was at 8am, they switched it 30 minutes before without a reason, to 10am. I brought the car in at 9:45am. I sat there waiting. I understand it wasn't going to be a super quick service but it got till almost 2pm and my car was still sitting in the parking lot. They hadn't even looked at it. When I asked why she gave me an attitude and another customer that was there even told her she had been rude all day to several other people. As soon as I got all 4 new tires put in. I hadn't even reached out the lot and the tire light went on. So I called she said just drive on it for a little bit and it'll turn off. So I did and it didnt go off so I called again and she said turn it off manually. So I did. I kept driving and it turned back on. So I called, and she said sometimes it takes a while to turn off. So I kept driving and turning it off. Then I finally called and she said bring it in and we will turn it off. I brought it in and they didn't check any of the tires. They went and turned the light off. And I went on my way. It kept turning back on but the tires weren't flat. On the third day I almost lost my life because I was on the highway and the tire went completely flat and I was on a curve. I called and they said to bring it in again. Like no thanks I just almost died. I had to call roadside assistance and when he took the tire off he said it looks like the tire is used and previously patched. And these were 4 brand new tires I purchased 3 days ago!!! read more

My car needed two services. I called ahead of time scheduled an appointment and dropped my car off the day of the appointment. I received my car back believing the job was done. The following day I notice that an indicator light came on for the service requested, and the alignment I paid for wasn't done. I called and notified them and the hours couldn't fit my work schedule and it's my only means of transportation. I try again for the third time to drop it off and was told I wouldn't have my car back for three days because of other cars ahead of me. This location is garbage, find another location. read more

UNBELIVABLE! HORIABLE, HORIABLE, HORIABLE!!!! Today I was told be the Custormer Service Rep John is I wanted service for my car it would not be until Monday, today is Saturday. Imagine that, two days before my care can be service. Been coming to this Firestone for about 7 years now and one problem that is consistent with this particular location is over booking. If you want to have your car serviced here you can do one of serveral things. 1. Make an appointment, however you will be taking a chance because if any cars come in or are dropped off before your apppointment they will get serviced first! 2. Avoid the end of the month and weekend especially if you live in the state of Virginia because vehicle inspections are due and everyone is there for that. 3. Avoid the Firestone app at all cost. Have made appointments via the app in the pass only to be told when I arrive that I have no appointment. 4. Drop your car off the night before. If you do, you may get it back when promised. 5. Even though the lobby has TV, WiFi and toys for kids, I wouldn't wait, you may be there for a while. In most cases for service here I have to take off work to do so, any other time is risky. This store is overbooked and understaffed. This morning it was a mad house. The gentlemen in front of me when bringing in his vehicle was told his car would not be seen until Monday maybe. All he wanted was a wheel allignment, so I wanting an allignment as well with a tire change and rotation there would be no way I would be seen. Why do I keep coming back? Because a couple of years ago I purchased my tires from this store which came with free rotation and balance for the life of the tires and payed $189.00 for wheel allignment for the life of the tires. I have contacted the cooperate office on this problem on other occasions only to be told that the problem would be fixed, it has not (and that was last July). I had a very pleasant experience today at this Firestone location. It all started with my tire kept going flat every other day so I called them up and let them know I had a slow leak. From the beginning they were very informative on what they thought needed to be done and were very helpful in scheduling a drop off appointment for me today. They quoted me $30 for the tire patch over the phone, but when I got there I was re-informed that it would be $20 instead of the 30. I dropped off at approximately 7:30 AM and I hadn't heard anything by about 12:30 PM so I gave them a call. Rather than just letting me know that they would still be getting to it, the guy quickly got off the phone to ask the technician how long he thought it would be. I was given another general time frame and within an hour and a half they called me back to let me know my vehicle is ready. Thanks for the last minute service and quick repair! read more

I made an appointment online for a state inspection for 9 am and it was not honored. I spoke to Todd and explained what my appointment was for and was there anyway I could bring it in early due to a scheduling conflict. Todd said that I could not bring my car until my appointment time and that any car brought in before 10 am for a state inspection would be completed before 6 pm when they closed. When I arrived to drop off my car, I was told that due to system issues the appointment I booked online was not on their schedule for today. I was also told that they only accept cars for state inspection at 7 am. them. I said I called and spoke to Todd at 7:05 this morning and he told me to bring my car in at my scheduled appointment time and they'd get it done and that not a single thing was said about what time they accept cara for inspection. The lady at the front apologized for any inconvenience and was shocked when I said I'd spoken to Todd and the information he gave me. She said the earliest they could get me in was at 7 am on Friday and if that didn't work that I couldn't be seen until January 18. Needless to say I am very frustrated with answers I was given and am considering finding a different place to take my car for any maintenance/repairs it needs. read more

The worst service ever. Set a 4pm appointment on line for Saturday, 8 Mar. The work requested was alignment and tire rotation and balance. Had issues with the site and called the store and the representative said bring it in before noon and we will get you taken care of. Brought my truck in at 11:45 am representative said it won't take long and I will call you when it's ready. I called at 5:00 pm to see if it was ready and the representative stated it was on the rack and should be done in 15, 20 minutes. So I show up at 5:30 representative stated the tech will be done soon, when I arrived. The representative later stated he was done with the alignment So I asked was the tires rotated and balance and he stated, 'No' he didn't do that Yet. So how could my truck be ready in 15 minutes at 5:00 pm when the tires were not rotated and balance. I couldn't help but notice Mr Firestone quote on the wall about honesty which this establishment is serverly lacking. I have an older truck used a whole 467 miles last year. It failed for an idler arm, I replaced it and had Firestone do the wheel alignment. It never was right but how little I use it, not worth spending the day waiting on it. 467 miles later they fail it for EVERY steering connection including the one that has 467 miles on it. Used to be a reputable business, now it's just fail it for everything and suck the lifes blood out of the consumer! Poor service. Will not return. Last week, I had scheduled an appointment last week for tire replacement online and had tires shipped to them from an online retailer. In addition, I received a confirmation for the appointment via email two days before the appointment. When I went inside to the front desk, the receptionist said that they didn't have an appointment for me. I said I did, and told them I had tires delivered there. The tires had been delivered at least a day before, maybe two. She told me that they only put on tires from the online retailer on Mondays and Wednesdays, first thing in the morning, and that you had to leave the car overnight the night before. The website did not indicate this, nor did any other communication from Firestone, and no one bothered to call me before my appointment time to inform me that they would not be able to complete the job at the scheduled time, even after tires were received. I made my appointment at that specific time, and on that specific day, for that specific repair, for a reason. Don't know about you, but I have very little patience for a situation that wastes over an hour of limited weeknight free time with no result and has poor service to boot. I took my tires (that I loaded myself) and my business somewhere else that was able to accommodate me with an accurate appointment time. Will not be returning to Firestone. read more

Late review - I was brought to this Firestone back in January when I got a busted tire in the snowstorm. Even though I had to wait a while, they were very transparent about the wait time upfront - instead of giving me roundabout answers like most other places. I went to get food, and the guy at the front desk got my cell number so he could give me a call when my car was ready. He apologized for the wait, and was very nice and respectful. Got 4 new tires and they were so poorly balanced that I returned a couple of days later and waited 1.5 hrs while they were rebalanced by a different tech and test driven this time. Result was better but still not right. I ended up having some other work done at a new car dealer and paid another $80 to fix what was reported as grossly out of balance tires. Front desk folks are very professional but they either have a broken balancing machine or techs that don't know how to use it. This is a tire store-no excuse for poor performance. read more

The service person who assisted our family is Justin. Our service began with our mini-van being towed (it was on its last legs due to many problems) to Firestone. The motor needed replacement and we had to salvage the van, which they assisted us with that process. We then were down to one car because our VW bug needed repair on lights, door, hood, ABS system. Justin worked with us as we came to Firestone from Pep Boys having just had a poor experience there. He explained the findings of their examination of the vehicle. Due to the VW being a foreign car and the specific parts needed that were not carried locally, some of the repairs had to wait for parts. Justin keep our family in the loop. He also went above and beyond by contacting shops and salvage yards within several hours driving to see if parts could be found. He did this several times while waiting on the dealer to respond with updates on where the parts were that were needed for the car. After a couple of weeks, Justin found out we (our family of six, with college students, etc.) only had one car and were having a hard time managing our schedules and that school was about to start, he authorized a rental while we waited for the part. The part first was on order from the plant in Germany, then due to the delays, was switched to the plant in Mexico. Justin kept us up to date in all of the process. My husband is a veteran of 26 years and we both work for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Our sons are in band, scouting, go to college, etc. We are active in our church and other community activities. I can honestly state without reservation that Justin's service (along with his team at Firestone working on the car), helped our family maintain our service to our community and our family during this time. The repairs were costly, but it could have been much much worse of an impact on us, had Justin not been so thorough with his communication, efforts and above and beyond service. I have been burned by car repair professionals in the past and came to Firestone with a wary heart. I can say with confidence that my experience has helped to rebuild that trust in the industry and I will be enthusiastically recommending Firestone at Hampton to everyone I know who may need service in future.
