I stopped here because of the location and "speedy" service. I am hoping this was just an off day because it was not a pleasant experience. There were two techs , which one did not seem to know how to do anything. Ron was doing great and trying to get cars done in a timely fashion. The wait was about an hour and several cars left because of the wait time. Once I made it into the bay two other techs were on site but they did not appear to be on the clock. Overall , highly dissatisfied with this service, especially for the price.

I absolutely love this particular Take 5 location. They always take care of me and are so nice and sweet. I know a little about cars, but they make sure to explain everything to me and let me know what's best for my car. I've been here a few times and I'll definitely keep coming back. I think the best thing for me is honestly the quickness and being able to stay in my car. The guys who work here are always really nice, great company and they make me laugh. For me being a woman and being by myself coming here makes me feel safe. I know that they are going to make sure that I know everything that needs to get done if needed at that moment and I know they aren't going to cheat me like some places do just because they want my money. I've gone here multiple times and I'll continue to go. As long as I feel comfortable and safe with the place that's taking care of my car then they'll definitely get my money and always have a true customer in me.

Good service. Staff worked as a team to change my oil fast. Good communication to insure all was completed and oil plug was re installed

I have only one problem with this place…read more Nothing better than good Valvoline oil. And to get it within fifteen minutes at a reasonable price is even better. Make sure you download the Valvoline app to get coupons you can use instantly. They do a good thorough visual inspection of your vehicle, top off your fluids, check your tire pressure and check your battery. They also offer other services that I wouldn't recommend. Things like tire rotation, any transmission service or rear differential service I don't recommend these services because the Valvoline team are not the subject matter experts in these areas. Just stick to what you know. Now my problem with this location that I've been going to for about 3 years. They keep referring to me as "man." "What's up man?" "How's it going man?" Or "Thanks a lot man." I'm a 53 year old man, probably old enough to be all the employees and store manager Daddy. I've served twenty years in the military, patrolled the streets as a policy officer, serve the community, a grandfather and have kids about the age of these employees and manager. I'm not your friend or homeboy, I'm a customer.. I don't know why they do it and I'd hate to know why. I don't want to be refereed to as "man"; how about "SIR". I think I've earned it. Otherwise always the best for a quick oil change at a reasonable price. I'll be back but give your customers the respect they deserve. Happy Yelping!

Fine, they didn't have my size and said it would take three weeks. No problem there. But then Cody grabs the windshield wipers, scans them, and tells me they aren't in his inventory so he can't sell them. I understand policies -- that part wasn't the problem. What set me off was the complete lack of effort to fix the situation. No checking the back, no offering alternatives, no looking up another store, no "let me try something else." Just a flat, dismissive: "I can't sell them to you." That's it. The customer service at the Hampton (Mercury Boulevard) Pep Boys was absolutely disappointing. Cody made zero attempt to help or troubleshoot. I left feeling like my time was wasted and like my business didn't matter. Do better.

I had a scheduled appointment for 9:00 AM this morning. Around 2:00 PM, I called to check on the…read morestatus of my vehicle and was informed that it had just entered the service bay due to staffing shortages and employee call-offs. I was told that work was only just beginning at that time. (They didn't care to reach out and inform me of this gladly I didn't have nothing else to do... I'm afraid if I didn't call them, I would've never knew that my car was just beginning to get worked on) At approximately 4:00 PM, I called again and was advised that only one portion of the service had been completed. Later, around 5:00 PM, I received a call stating that the vehicle would require an additional 45 minutes of work. However, I never received a follow-up call to confirm that my vehicle was finished. When I arrived at the shop in an Uber, I noticed my vehicle already parked outside in the lot. Ultimately, I did not pick up my vehicle until 6:05 PM despite having dropped it off at 9:00 AM. Upon pickup, I was informed that I would still be required to pay the full price and that no manager was available at the time. I was advised that if I wished to request a discount or speak with a manager, I would need to wait until the following day.
