I have been using this location for years because its for convince. Work is good but customer service is in need of total revamp. They NEVER call you back when they say they will. Over the phone they do not take notes and forget to complete requested jobs. Management is very flakey. This location has a low rating in general from most others and it shows in the quality and integrity of customer service. Currently I have been waiting for a call back for four days. I had to call and had them tell me they would call me right back twice and they never returned my call. They told me my car would be ready no later than Tuesday and it is now Thursday and i had to make a call this morning and they said yet again they would call me back in a few min and that was about 15 min ago. Bad experience all around. 4 months later I had to take my car back due to problems with the brakes. I was told once again it would be ready the next day. I came to this facility today, 12/7/2022 at 3pm to replace a tire that I bought from Tirerack. The person behind the counter, Alex, said flat out in a very rude manner "We can't do this". I explained that I was told by Tirerack that I can have the tire installed in one of their approved facilities. And Firestone is one such facility. Furthermore, I just had two tires installed less than 2 weeks ago, also purchased from Tirerack. Alex had to call somebody who approved the installation. So I left the car and was told that the facility closes at 6PM. I called the place at 5 PM twice. Both times the phone kept ringing with no answer. So when it became 5:40PM and no call from Firestone I decided to go there before they close. To my surprise the car was still where I left it. The gentleman behind the counter, far more pleasant than Alex, explained that my car is next and it will take another hour before it is ready. A/C performance check (Short story) Felix was charging me for an AC diagnostic that according to Alex (mechanic) was not performed. It was recommended to have the AC system recharge with refrigerant although no pressure test or leak test we're done. Will not be using their services in the future. (Long story) When I questioned what part of the AC diagnostic indicated the need to have the AC system recharge with refrigerant Felix could not justify it and called Alex who admitted to have only done a "visual check" but if I wanted he could run a full check which takes an hour to run. At that point I turned to Felix and asked him to remove the $39.99 charge from my final invoice. read more

Dropped off car at 9 am and called at 3:30 to get an update, was told car was still being serviced. Got a call at 4:55 letting me know work couldn't be done on it. Wasted money on uber missed regular routine with my kids because of this inconvenience. When arriving to pick up car there is no manager available only employee who just said sorry. I had to get managers business card because one wasnt offered to me. I now believe that when I paid for a full inspection I was lied to. I had schedule an appointment a week in advance at 11:00am, for an oil change at this Downey location. After 3 hours of my car not moving I inquiere in why it was taking so long. Seemed like they just forgot about my car. I waited another 2 more hours. After inquiring a second time I received a condescending and rude answer from the staff about how "an appointment doesn't guaranty anything. Without an appointment ir could take 'MAÑANA', day or two to finishing with my car". At the end I just had an oil change and tire rotation for an expensive price that took 5+ hours. Next time I'll go to a different place. I understand work can get busy and most places are short staff but it seems like this place lacks organization, is OVER PRICED and 100% lacks customer service. I thought that it was necessary for me to write this review about this Firestone location in Downey next to the Stonewood Center. I took my 2021 Toyota Camry to get some tires and the customer service that I received by a young lady by the name of Priscilla was amazing. She greeted me as soon as I walk in the door asked me what I was looking for and was very thorough about explaining my options to me. She showed me different options and was very attentive to my needs. I did mention to her that I was looking to spend a certain amount of money and she found the right tire for my vehicle. She explained everything from beginning to end and I let her know that I will definitely be coming back. Her service was so good. I actually purchased the extended warranty as far as the lifetime warranty on my alignment and my tire rotation. If you're in the area and need your vehicle service I suggest stopping at this location and asking for Priscilla. read more

There employees just slacking, socializing, and not paying no mind to the vehicles. Rewind their cameras and see the "work they do". You make a appointment in advance, a week ahead of time, and when you arrive, they quote you over (4) hours of waiting time, and that's a if. They overbook appointments which creates a bigger mess. The customer service is lacking in all departments. From the person checking you in to how they speak to you. I would NOT recommend this location. Young adults who feel highly entitled with rude attitudes. After waiting 2 1/2 hours, they still haven't even brought my car in. Keep in mind, the alignment machine is not in usage. Another lady present had been waiting 3 hours for just a oil change with a APPOINTMENT. There is no reason to overbook appointments, and also take walk ins. Makes no sense because everyone becomes upset. Look at other locations, they will tell you that they are busy and can't take anymore. Especially with COVID-19. They had it packed in there for no reason. You can see the attendants taking in people knowing they can't handle the load. Rude and ignorant when asking about the status of your vehicle. So I went last week June 25 to Firestone in Cecilia, Downey. I got flushes done with one being the coolant one. Today July 4, 2021 I opened the hood of my car to check my oil because I drove a lot. There was nothing in the coolant plastic container. They charged me for the flush but they didn't have the decency or work ethic to fill it back up... these mechanics they have there are not good mechanics. I've given them so many chances. I made an appointment online at about 2pm the previous day. I arrived 30 minutes early and was first in line. Someone came out and took my truck in for wheel alignment about 17 minutes after my appointment time. They opened at 8 am so I did not expect them to begin work on my truck right when they opened because I realize there is set up to be done and people to check in. If they get paid from 8 to 6, they should not start work before 8am. I've had lifetime wheel alignment for many years and it's the only time I come to Firestone. My only complaint is, the wait time. I believe they are understaffed and we are always in a hurry. None of us want to be here so that makes it even worse. Having to wait sucks, I know. I spoke to Olmos about the wait times, he apologized and confirmed that they were understaffed, especially now during COVID. The customer service is great and I will continue to come here as long as I have my truck because of the lifetime wheel alignment. I suggest you start making an appointment AND arrive early. Our truck broke down literally less than a mile from this firestone. We called in and stated it broke down and thought it was a transmission issue and if they could look at it today and the guy who answered said yes! Bring it in. My boyfriend and friend ended up pushing the truck to this firestone and when we walked in the front service guy said oh we don't work on that type of stuff. Are you kidding? When we called and spoke to the person and mentioned it was a transmission issue he said to bring it in. Now we have to call a tow truck to bring to a different place. Chris was honest and helpful, but he was off by the time I got there to pick up my car, so my review is about my experience picking up the car. I show up just after 4:30, and I let the guy know I was told car would be ready by 5:00...he looks at the clock and tells me it is 4:38...Ok, I'm 22 minutes early. Of course I'm asked to wait, which I did, only to be extremely disappointed. I have to say that customer service wasn't mediocre, it was ok, but as far as the actual work performed on my vehicle, well, I'd give it -10 stars if I could. My car has a front splitter, and sits low. I let the guy know, and was told not to worry, "it will not hit the ramps...." it did, and the technician acted as if it was no big deal. In fact, after noticing the car hit the ramp, he did nothing to avoid the same as he took the car off the lift, and scraped the front again. I got home and noticed a couple screws had popped off. I don't know how well trained the technician is, but the alignment is worse than when I dropped it off, and the steering wheel isn't straight now. Too much horsing around in the back, which forces people to wait for hours despite having appointments. Things seemed in order while Chris was there, but you can tell the environment is completely different when he is gone. They need more people like him running the place. Off to the dealer it is. I'd rather pay premium prices than go through this again. By the way, notice that not a single review had been addressed. I don't even know where to start. I had high hopes for this place. I thought it was a good well known brand, so i purchased a tire on there website and was going to get it installed here. But their professionalism and customer service is bad. The only reason I'm not rating it 1 star is because the young lady in the front, I believe her name is Isabella. (I do apologize if I got your name wrong) She was great! She made it not as bad but other than that it was horrible. The first time I went there was a different woman there with tattoos on her face that was absolutely useless and terrible at doing her job. I didn't get her name but I'm assuming its Priscilla from all the other comments I've read. Luckily I didn't have to deal with that person again. Isabella called me as soon as it was ready and was keeping me up to date on everything. She needs a raise lol the only worker there with good customer service. To wrap up the review I wouldn't ever come back here or recommend this place to anyone I know. I didn't even want them to install the wheel on my car, I didn't trust them.
