I made an appointment for today at Pep Boys, up the street from the Firestone. When I arrive to Pep Boys they let me know that my appointment could not happen on time because the tire that should've been there by 12 noon, my appointment was at 2 PM, had not arrived. I was informed that it probably would not arrive until three to 4:30 PM. I left Pep Boys, and called this firestone. As soon as I arrived at this firestone, the customer service was so much different. The gentleman who checked me in actually walked to my car, to see if I actually needed a new tire. It turns out that I just needed to have a leak fixed. He saved me 200+ dollars and I will definitely be back when it's time to replace my tires. Pep Boys zero/ Firestone 100! Thank you! read more

I have been here several time for help with my son's car. I was apprehensive with the big corporate name but i have to be extremely honest that I have never felt like I've gotten personalized service, honest feedback, and truly both Jason and Dee went out of their way to help me save money. I've had experiences at competitors where i feel like they were looking for things to add to the bill (albeit true or not). I can't express to you how I don't feel like i have to hold my breath when the car goes in anymore OR if my best interests will not be met. Thank you to the entire team at Firestone of Clermont because you are by far and away the measure of quality, dependability, and service. I should preface this by review by saying our family has been repeat customers of the Clermont location, spending almost $7500 between me and my two brother-in-laws in auto repairs over the past 6 months alone. We're loyal customers when treated properly and the ONLY reason I'm giving one star is because of our past experiences. That said, this last time was our last time and it's largely because of the "manager" Justin. We brought my late mother's car in for a check engine light issue and we're told there would be a $99 diagnostic fee, which they said they'd waive when we asked about it over the phone. We were then quoted $60 to tighten the fan belt and told it would be ready in 30 minutes, which we agreed to. When we went to pick up the car, the guy at the front desk was confused and scattered, he asked three times which vehicle it was (even when we gave him our last name 3 times!) and rang us up close to $200! NOT what we were told... after going back and forth with him, who kept going to the back office to speak to his manager, Justin, we asked to speak to Justin directly to work out the charges. Justin came out and was extremely defensive and said he "decided" he wasn't going to waive the charges because "this is a business and we have to make money" and went on to say that WE were being dishonest because we were questioning the charges (the CUSTOMER is dishonest?!). I had my credit card out, ready to pay- we just needed to understand why the charges went from $60 to almost $200!. He grew increasingly agitated when my Dad asked about the online coupons for service and Justin acted unnecessarily threatened and actually challenged him, asking if he had printed coupons (which of course my Dad did). When Justin accused my Dad of being dishonest, I had enough... I insisted that they charge the quoted $60- this was bad form with classic bait and switch at the register- and he was getting ugly with my Dad. I asked to speak with his manager and he said he was it, and when I asked who the GM was, he told us "our money was no good there" as if that was an insult- because he just wanted us to leave. I have no problem paying for service if it's fair and communicated properly - I was willing and ready to pay, as long as it was what was quoted to us. Justin was rude, defensive, and tried to play us. We've already told our family not to return there because if OUR money isn't good to them, why should anyone else's be? Firestone needs management training... Justin's bait-and-switch approach lost them loyal customers in the end. read more

The reason that you go to a nationwide repair service is so that if you have problem, you can likely get it fixed anywhere. Unfortunately, I had serious issues on the road 2 hours from home when my radiator sprung a leak. I brought it into the Firestone in Melbourne, Florida to have it fixed. My cost, $1,111.00. I drove the care back home to Davenport, Florida but had no power the next day upon trying to crank the car up. After calling AAA it was found that my hood could not be opened to assess the problem. I called the Melbourne Firestone for assistance because I needed my car for the next day for work. I was told to have it towed to the nearest Firestone and they would take care of the cost of whatever was needed. I did this and ask the Melbourne Firestone to call the Clermont Firestone to explain the situation. This is because I tried talking to the manager and he seemed to not understand the situation. I get to the this location knowing that I had to wait. I was later told that they could not open the hood. The manager discussed this with Melbourne and it was agreed that if the grill of the car needs to be torn open then Melbourne would pay for it. I was told by the " mechanic" to go back inside because this would take a while. Later, I was told that the mechanic decided not to do it. I ...was told, to call Melbourne back and make arrangements to have my car towed to the dealer. I called Andy with the name and number of the nearest dealership. He stated that he would have a discussion with the area manager and make arrangements. I was later told by the manager that the area manager and the Melbourne felt as though he and his crew did not really want to take care of my situation. Which I was beginning to feel as well. He also stated that Melbourne should have "taken care of their customer". Of which I... thought I ..was Clermont's customer as well. His attitude throughout this whole process was nonchalant and unprofessional. He viewed this as "their problem" not his. Even though the Melbourne shop was responsible for and agreed to pay all the costs including labor. The mechanic working on my car had a very nonchalant attitude and asks that I go back inside form the parking lot while he decided what to do. I had to eventually rent a car from Enterprise who forgot about me and denied having to pick me up. Meanwhile, the manger and his staff completely ignored that fact that I was there even as they closed the shop and I waited in the dark parking lot. They did not even inquire as to whether I had a way home after I had been there since around 1 pm. The truly sad part about this is the fact that three (3) days later a Melbourne mechanic and a crew member had to DRIVE 1.5 to 2 HOURS from Melbourne to assess and open the hood! They found that the wire from the latch had tangled. WHY did it take 2 mechanics, driving 2 hours each way with their own tools to figure this out??? I was told that no one from the Clermont staff offered tools or help. The Clermont manager had been very uncooperative in this situation and the mechanics seemed to be "bothered" by this situation. Even though they were STILL getting paid. Again, the reason a customer chooses a nationwide repair organization such as Firestone is so that if you have a problem, anywhere, it can be fixed. This shop in Clermont, Florida lacks the customer service and leadership needed to prove reliable and respectful service. The other unfortunate note is that I live close to the Clermont shop and would have considered them for further repairs for my car. However, with the lackadaisical attitude displayed by the manager and his staff, I am will not be patronizing them at all. The shop totally smears the reliable name that Firestone carries. read more

I used to love Firestone, they were the only people I trusted with my car and they were always fair, honest and professional, years and years of car care! Until I moved over here. I called ahead, asked if I could come in for an oil change, they said yes to bring it over. I did, and when I got there no one came up to the front, I was so confused. I understand you get busy but this was wild, like no one in the building had eyes on the front for a good while. Eventually, I get my car in they told me 30 mins so I sit down to wait. I usually wait for an oil change, an hour max. Maybe the Firestones I have been to in the past were just exceptional. But this took 3 HOURS YALL. The entire time I was there I couldn't wait to get the heck out! Everyone who came in and was waiting was so aggravated. I understand being short-staffed and such but let people know! One girl came in and was trying to find someone to help her for like an hour she was just walking around in disbelief. I didn't feel great about the experience, but I would have written it off one time. BUT the same thing happed to my boyfriend a few weeks later. Unfortunately its the only Firestone by me, so Walmart oil-changes it is! read more

What a great job. I called a few other places and they couldn't fit me in. They not only fit me in, they took care of the problem and then some. They took care of the diagnostics, found out what was really the problem, and fixed it all in just a few hours. They were honest, courteous, and efficient. Reasonably priced they work fast and efficient and don't rip you off or charge you for things that you don't need. They are honest.

Excellent, quick service. Had a broken valve stem and they replaced in under 30 minutes on a walk in. Front desk agent working alone was working two computers at once taking care of everyone in a timely manner. Only complaint was the quote over the phone was cheaper than when arrived. read more

Great service here. Needed a new battery and they were swamped busy. I figured I would be there all morning. The guy said he would get it done ASAP which usually means a couple of hours at least. This is the most unorganized place I have ever been to.I called in Wednesday night and was told they had an appointment for Thursday at 4 pm so I made the appointment.I arrived at 3:55 on Thursday and checked in for an inspection of the road noise the car was having.At 5:30 I went to the counter to get my keys back.Why you ask?I had waited an hour and a half with an appointment and my car never left the parking lot nor did anyone say anything to me about time frame.I was totally ignored.When I asked for my keys back then it looked like I was next.Yeah right.What is the point of making an appointment and waiting an hour and a half with nothing being done?While waiting I did however see a customer leave and immediately come back because their car stalled after leaving.That tells me all I need to know about the quality of work performed here.Thoroughly disgusted with this place.Thanks for nothing!!!By the way I am writing this review at another repair shop that knows how to treat their customers.I will never come back and will tell anyone who asks to stay away! read more

I went in for an oil change, tire rotation, and brake service. After an hour of sitting in the lobby, I went outside to take a phone call and saw my car sitting in the parking lot. I was surprised that nobody came to tell me that my car was finished being serviced. I went to the checkout counter, and they said the credit card machines were down and we would need to wait for the machines to come back online, unless we had cash. I said I didn't have enough cash to pay for all of those services. Other people in the lobby were quite frustrated, because nobody could check out and pay for their services. The man checking people out actually had the audacity to suggest people walk down to the Amscot next door and use their ATM to get cash. That's unacceptable customer service. There should be a backup plan for when credit card machines are down. So I sat and waited another half hour for the machines to come back up, but they didn't. I asked how much my total was, and they said $27 for the oil change. I asked why my tires weren't rotated or why my brakes weren't serviced, and the man said those services were unable to be performed. So instead of someone coming and telling me an hour earlier when my car was finished, I was left sitting there waiting and wasted almost 2 hours of my time. I will most definitely not be returning to this location, or any Firestone location for that matter, after this experience. read more
