The service here is great. The staff and manager are very professional and pleasant. They take the time to explain the problem they find with your car and explain why and what needs to be done to correct the issue. I am a very happy and satisfied customer who will be returning to this location whenever there is a problem with my car. Thanks guys read more

I've used them a couple times. Always polite and informative. I like this location. Professional!

So many things went wrong: 8/1 - I called ahead of time to ask how long it would take to get a tire patched up, "we're not busy, it's steady, it should take only 30 mins." They were unable to fix the tire cause it was bald already -- this recommendation took 1.5 hours. Fine. TWO additional hours later, they install the wrong tires and having them rectify the problem the same day would take another couple hours says the guy. No, thanks. I'll come back. 8/10 - Arrived at 11:45am for a 12pm appointment. It is not 1:15pm, my car is on the lift, but has not been touched. When I inquired as to how much longer it would take, the guy at the front desk went out to ask the mechanic to which his response was, "I don't know, I don't even know what kind of tires she wants!" So...... if no one came out there to ask, they would've just been like, let's wait until someone gives us valuable direction to complete a job. Nope. Never coming back. Go somewhere else. read more

I will never go back to this location again. They are unprofessional and don't warranty their work. I miss the old crew that worked there. They always did very good work on my cars and my family's cars. read more

I had to take my car in for ball joints and to have my cooling system checked as my air conditioning was running hot. I made it a point to be at the store right when they opened. I arrived before 7 am. Even before the employees. I checked in and was told they had cars from the night before so I wouldn't get in until about nine. After inquiring at about 8:45, they pulled my car in at 9:30. At this time I decided to leave. I was starving. I called to check on my car around noon and was told to give them another hour and a half. I was surprised but, of course, agreed. Upon returning to the shop, I found out my car was still not ready. I decided to inquire about a previous incident where I had a blow out on the highway & had to have my car towed way downstate Indiana. The tow truck driver advised us to replace the other rear tires, as it was worn as well. These tires weren't even a year old! I bought them from Firestone! I was very annoyed but didn't want to risk another blow out. We had the car towed to the nearest auto shop and had the two tires replaced. When I asked about some way to apply my warranty, Tina G. Wanted to know why I didn't go to a Firestone. I explained to her there was no Firestone in Cornville USA. She insisted Firestone was everywhere and began looking in the computer for a shop. When she didn't find one, she asked me the name of the town and then made a phone call. Tina G. then proceeded to LOOK ON A MAP! At this point I was LIVID and asked for the corporate office information! I inquired about my car and was told yet ANOTHER hour and a half! So now I am complaining to anyone who would listen. As I told the mechanic, this isn't my first repair and it isn't my first ball joint, it doesn't take all day to do ANYTHING! I could not believe the unprofessional nonchalant attitudes of these employees. They tried to tell me, well, it takes a while to get a car repaired!!! Come to find out, I had to wait for a particular mechanic who didn't arrive until 9 and THEN he had a car in front of mine. Had I had such information at 7 am, I'd have gone home and had my husband take me back once he got home from work! I will be calling corporate to further my complaint. This was absolutely ridiculous!!! I will never step foot in this Firestone again & we were return customers! Note, I said WERE!!! read more

I needed tires I called was quoted a price I go there I paid money Staff was sympathetic to my dilemma and even listened to me complain about the stock tires that my new van had. (Grand caravan comes with kumho Solus tires, please if you value the safety of your loved ones please change these tires after 20,000 miles max) I drive out with new tires in 2 hours I must say, I was taken care of by the staff that was courteous and professional. Firestone tires are made in America and I've never had a problem. Best quality for the price. read more

As most customers have complained about, the wait time is ridiculous. Even with an appointment be prepared to wait for a minimum of 3 hours. Having an appointment means little to nothing. You will still wait an hour before they even pull your car in. Just because they pulled your car in does not mean they will start working on it right then. The only things good I can say about the wait room are 1) you're not outside 2) they have chairs & 3) they have a tv. The customer service is low to fair. If I can help it I will not be returning to this location. In the past my experiences have been fair. This last time, from the time I pulled into the lot until the time I left the staff was rude. read more

Scam artists! I ordered tires through tire rack and had them delivered for installation. When I got there I was told I had ordered the wrong and so I bought the right tires from them. Every thing was good until I look over my bill and found that they had tacked on an extended warranty without my permission. When I told them to take it off they said that it was quoted with the price. I don't care if you are giving the warranty away for a penny! they still did not have the right to charge me without my permission. I will never return. They did refund the money but not without trying to convince me to take the warranty. There is something seriously wrong with a business that will add hundreds of dollars to your bill without telling you. You have been warned. read more

This place is the worst place to go. I spent 800 and no customer service. They basically said they couldn't help me. I dont understand how are you a tire shop and your tires are messed up. I don't get that. I would think if Someone is spending 800 dollars with this company they would help out but no one wanted to help so corporate is where we will go and file a complaint then the BBB to file another. That's how u can hurt a company and they will listen. Stay away from Firestone they are a scam, rip off. Just got brand new tires in 2017 and they already bad and need new ones yet they don't want to change them. Interesting read more

This was definitely the worst experience i've ever had dealing with an auto care company. Let me start by saying me and my wife have been using Firestone for over 10yrs. However, we used a different shop, because the one we used recently closed. Went to Firestone on 95th for an oil change, that went smoothly. A month later we needed major work done, that total north of $1300. The price changed a few times before we agreed to the work, which I understand because shops usually will try to give you as much information as possible so you can make an informed decision. Less than 24hrs after picking up my car the check engine light comes back on. We drop the car back off, they call a few hours later to say it's going to be over $1700 (over $3000 dollars in an early 2000 car) to fix the issue. Of course me and my wife were not happy to get this news. Instead of actually trying to work something out or explain how the scan missed the other codes, the front desk put my wife on hold for several days. We never talked with the manager. They just put in a claim to prove that the work done was not the cause of the current issue. Here's the problem, an auto repair shop should do their due diligence to find as much issues as possible, they clearly didn't do that. Also, when you look in your database and see a customer spent thousands of dollars with you over a long span of time, it's in the business best interest to insure the customer doesn't walk away feeling like they got ripped off. This one situation of poor service and even poorer customer service just ended a 10 year business relationship. I hope that Firestone's corporate office address this shop, they are ruining your name in the Chicago area. read more

I took my Dodge Challenger to them to get a tire pressure sensor replaced they quoted me $189.99 for the job. They called me when it was done saying that the total was almost $250, I was surprised because I had called them and another nearby location, and they quoted me the same $189.99. Then I go to pick up my car, and the wheel wasn't cleaned up properly. The technician had left that polish they use when they mount the rim in the tire all over the rim. And to make things even worse, they damaged the rim as well. I told the manager what had happened, and he tried to imply that it was like that when it came in. I told him, "Do you think i'd say anything to you if there was prior damage on it, especially if the only rim that was damaged was the one that was worked on". Not to mention that at this particular location, they shuffle cars around to park them, so its a safe to assume that in doing, thats how the rim was damaged. The manager then told me to get an estimate on getting it repaired, in which I obtained & showed him. He then told me that estimate was too high and that he was gonna contact Bridgestone Tires to get an estimate on repairing the rim. He then contacted me a few days later and said that Bridgestone couldn't do it, which I already knew, and that I needed to get another estimate to compare the pricing. Now I understand that there's not that many local places repair and refinish without sending them out. which I completely understand, but how would they expect me to have them try to fix it, when it was their fault in the first place. Now They did pay for the repairs. But I feel that my vehicle was properly cared in the context of the cosmetic damage. The repair was to done to my satisfaction which i do appreciate. But it's the fact that after having this vehicle for just under a month and only driving it a few time in that period of time, That I had to with such carelessness. For future advice, take pics of your vehicle before and after you drop it off. read more

After contacting corporate & my previous post, I was contacted by the Store Manager. I received a complete refund. Thank you

I came in to get my tires rotated, I had a 2pm appointment and did not leave until 4pm! The lady told me it only takes 20 minutes. She came back saying that my radiator was pushing up against my transmission, which is physically impossible, my tires had a crack in them and tried to charge $500 for new tires plus $10 for an inspection. My check engine light was on and I took it to my mechanic and it turned out that they had actually loosened my mass airflow sensor! You can visually see that the screw was loose and unclipped. My mechanic adjusted it and my check engine light went off. And it turned out my tires were fine it had a nail in ONE of them and just had to be SEALED which took two seconds and cost me $10 at another tire shop! I don't even need new tires! Don't let these ppl rip you off! They had ONE job and tried to sabotage my car to make a profit! read more

I went to Firestone on 95th and Western . I got there at 7:20 am 11/15/18. I came in for an alignment. The salesperson told me it would be an 1hr wait before my car would be serviced. I took a seat with at the time 4 other waiting customers. We were watching the T.V. While waiting firestone had a company Master Building Services vacuuming the rug runners, this was o.k. but then I hear this extremely loud engine and smelled gas fumes. The worker for MBS who had been vacuuming had now started to buff the floor with his gas powered extremely loud buffer right there in the area where the customer sit. I asked one of the workers if he thought his co-worker should be emitting fumes in the space while the customers are present. My request fell on deaf ears, which also what I could have become from the loudness of the gas buffer! In Addition, I waited 4 hours for my car, only to be told I needed $500 worth of worked done on my car before I could get my alignment. Oh I have the a lifetime warranty on the alignment as long as I own the car. Really Firestone. I did not receive my alignment. I was given my car back and a car stating I could receive an oil change. Wow Thanks Firestone. I will be contacting your Corporate office. Not a Happy Customer. read more

Went here on Saturday to get an oil change. Asked the clerk how much for your oil change, he said $32.99 - then he said I would come out better getting the summer care package for $34.99. Awesome! Got oil changed, tire rotation, maintenance check, fluid refills. The service technician printed out the maintenance recommendations and explained what needed to be done on future visits, no pressure! Usually an experience with a auto mechanic leaves you feeling like "they just fed me a bunch of bullshit". Not here... They treat you good at this Firestone, place is quite clean and the staff are nice and professional. One thing that really impressed me was the mechanics all were older and I would say they were quite experienced by trade, unlike the teen-agers that work on your car at Pep Boys. They even open on Sundays, which is great, so great that I took my second vehicle in on Sunday for the same service. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

Don't trust them with repair quotes. Get a second opinion. The wait time for repairs is too long. I purchased 4 tires and a wheel alignment. After the tires were installed on my car, the manager tells me I need a lower front ball joint. I asked him why wasn't I informed before they put the tires on my car, he didn't answer and started quoting a price for the repair along with a lug nut and stud replacement totaling $394. I informed him that I would like to have the wheel alignment done and not the other repairs at this time, and he refused to do the wheel alignment unless I had the ball joint replaced. I asked him to take the tires off and put my old tires back on, he refused. I decided to take my car to another shop to have the suspension inspected. The mechanic didn't find any problems with my ball joints and I had my wheel alignment done without false repair quotes. I will not return to Firestone for car repairs. read more

They do good work but be prepared to stay for a couple hours even if you have an appointment. It doesn't matter if you're getting something simple and quick done it's still going to be a wait. There free WIFI is free because it doesn't work lol. I wouldn't mind the wait if I could sit down and maybe watch a movie on my phone while I wait but nope. Wish I had read the reviews before entrusting them to pull a nail out of the tread of my Michelin. Had to go to work and my wife would pick up the car. She got a call from Firestone and the "tech" told her the nail, although in the tread of the tire was too close to the sidewall and the tire could "blow out". Salesmanship, nah, just scared the shit out of her enough to have her shell out $170 plus for a new tire and an air filter I didn't ask for. On top of that, the tech told my wife that the Michelin with the nail may be under warranty. But he didn't bother to give her the Michelin after he sold and installed the tire he sold her. I'll ride on the rims before I'll give this place another dime of my business. read more

I went to Firestone only needing an oil change. I was upsold on $240 worth of extra work. I didn't mind at the time, since I agreed with their assessment. I received a new replacement battery included in the add-ons. The day after my visit, I tried to start my car but it was completely dead. I used my personal jump starter device and went back to Firestone to see what was wrong. It took them 3 hours just to do a battery check and no other work. Their test said the battery was good. When I got into my car I noticed that their technician had left grease on my door handle. This is very unprofessional but I let this slide. A few days later, I found my battery dead again. I jumped it again because I wasn't in the mood to go all the way back to Firestone. I did a few multimeter tests on my own, to see if my alternator was bad. This was when I noticed my dome light switch in the ON position. I never noticed this before as it is usually in the DOOR position. I assumed that the technician there had left it in the on position from the first visit but since it was daytime each time I went there I never noticed it on above my head. Now I was no longer worried that my car was messed up. Just lazy unprofessional technicians had cost me many hours of wasted time and compromised my car. I went to Auto Zone a few days later to get a free battery check. I was told that even though the battery was fully charged, it needed to be replaced. This battery check took 15 minutes, but Firestone had me waiting for 3 hours previously for a test that alleged this battery was good. I want back to Firestone with my Auto Zone information and requested a new battery. I told them I had been there before but received no apology or explanation. The replacement took 1.5 hours but they had me sitting in the waiting area for an extra hour needlessly . The guy said that he called me but if he had my phone would have rung. He offered no apology or explanation, just as if this is standard procedure. read more

DO NOT USE FIRESTONE!!! I brought my 2010 Nissan Versa into the Nissan dealer for service. The mechanic told me that I had voided my warranty completely due to not having scheduled oil changes done. I told them that the oil changes had been done at FIRESTONE 9549 S. Western and showed them the invoices from Firestone that I had in the glove box. They took me out to my car and showed me the NISSAN oil filter still on the car! Nissan told me that unless Firestone uses NISSAN parts, they never replaced the oil filter! I went to Firestone and they admitted that they do not use Nissan parts and the oil filter was never changed for 15,000 miles! Firestone would only refund me for the oil changes and paid for a $300 engine flush, but I still have a voided car warranty on a one year old car!! read more

Went in for a Catalytic converter and was given a quote of $ 1,600.00 for vehicle repair which was more than i expected . After going to my dealership and being quoted an arm and a leg for a full brake job ($900+) I sought another option. I needed a front end wheel alignment as i did my tie rods and ball joints. Take my 1989 toyota pickup here. Called ahead of time and everything- give them the 89 toyota pickup info and all. At that very point is where they messed up because they said they can do it no problem. Get it in the shop and up on their lift, the tech (sedeke) is nice and friendly and tells me so i did align the toes. But I can't do the camber alignment right now because due to the age of the truck they require camber shims (a small metal shim with a slot in the middle for sliding under the bolt) which aren't in their shop anymore. I said ok so what if i get them online or whatever and bring the truck back, he said ok yea i can put them on and I'll talk to them up front at the desk to assure thats alright. He did and I did as well- an agreement was met. I grab the shims, bring it back and they follow up and COMPLETE the alignment. The woman at the desk asked if i wanted to pay now or when I bring it back. I paid for it at that moment and was told there would be no other charge when i brought it back as I have purchased a 1 year alignment at this point and it wasnt even complete yet due to the shim issue. So im fine with this at this point. Find the shims online, asked the guy how many mm (size in thickness) he needed so i knew which ones to get. Cool. Done. Get them in the mail, call to setup follow up alignment but manager Joe begins to tell me this agreement couldnt have happened as they dont install outside parts. I said it happened, he finds out im telling the truth after talking to the tech himself and okays it. Get this- I bring it back, tell them whats up with it again, what needs to be done. Ok. Am told maybe 2 hrs at 2pm. 530pm comes around, no call. So I call and am told oh yea its in the shop now hes working on it. Ok. Finally get a call around 6 something saying its ready and itll be 240 something dollars!!! And She didn't even say the right thing- she said yea the camber is in- that's for labor and parts. I was like what?! What did you guys do to it??!! You were only supposed to put the shims in the front under the camber bolts. Oh yea, right, thats what i meant, theyre in and thats for labor she said. 240something dollars to slide some camber shims under a bolt???!! Yes. Ok look i paid for a wheel alignment already, this is a follow up to COMPLETE that. Freaking ridiculous. Finally after frustratingly yelling about the whole thing she got joe the manager (who by the way wasnt in anymore) to drop the charge. I had to stay on the phone and say this is unacceptable. Why would they even take my truck in, take my money in the first place, and say they could do this alignment if its against policy to not put in outside parts?? They should have shut my old truck down before even setting the intial appointment up. And then on top of it hold my truck for over 4 hrs and give me attitude (the woman that got stuck speaking with me since joe could not) saying that itll have to have the shims removed if you want it tonight or have to stay here and talk to joe tomorrow morning. Absolutely ridiculous. She put me on hold as I said that those two things are unacceptable. They werent even closed yet and they didnt have a manager for approval or whatever to talk to me about all of this. And finally as i said, she spoke with joe whom apparently gave approval to drop the 240 something charge and let her tell me to come in and grab the truck. Plan now is to talk to joe tomorrow. What a trip! read more

So disappointed!! I usually go to the Firestone on Cicero Ave, but this one was closer to my home, NEVER AGAIN!! The shield under my car came loose while I was on the Toll Road. So I put duct tape on it to get me home. I dropped my car off at this location, told them what was wrong and that I wanted it repaired. After 5 hrs, I called back to check on my car, the guy told me they were looking at it. Not even 10 minutes later, he calls me back and saying my car was ready. After telling me I needed new tires (LIES) I just bought Firestone tires 4 wks ago ($600.00) anyway, I take my car, come out of the store and see something hanging from under my car... I bought a Nissan Sentra in 2014. Less than 50,000 miles the Bridgestone tire went bad. I called the Nissan dealer and was told that warranty that I bought from them didn't cover the tires. The dealer told me to call Bridgestone. I called Bridgestone and was told that I needed to a replacement tire. I was given a Firestone dealer to go to . That Firestone told me they don't have that kind of policy; I should go back to the dealer. I was given this kind of back and forth run around for hours. Then Bridgestone gave me a number to call: 800-847-3277. This number hangs up the phone on you every time you call. So, I called them back and they gave another number that leaves you on hold for a long time. Finally, I explained to them my problem with the tire. I was told a nail got into the tire and it couldn't be repaired, but that isn't what the dealer found when it was inspected by them. In short, I was cheated out of the warranted tire that I was suppose to get. read more
