Woohoo! I just had an alignment done in about less than an hour! Steve H offered awesome customer service. I came in a couple weeks ago. I had a nail in my tire that couldn't be patched so had to get a replacement. As soon as I came in I was nicely greeted. Karen, my service advisor, looked at my tire, gave me a couple options, and expeditiously processed my paperwork. The best part was that I didn't feel pressured into buying anything I didn't need, which Ive noticed at other places. It was semi-busy that day, but she was able to get my car ready in an hour. I took my vehicle in today to get my brakes serviced. For whatever reason, my vehicle was not serviced until later in the day even though I was told the job would be finished within a few hours. I later realized the reason was due to the amount of people who took their vehicles in for various work after the long weekend. Knowing that I had waited all day, Lee and Brett made sure to work on my vehicle to get me out of there. Even though it took a few hours longer than expected, they stayed in the shop hours after official closing time to make sure I was taken care of and the job was done. Brett was apparently the opener that day and he had a smile on his face from when he explained to me the issues he was facing with my vehicle to when he finished the job and was ready to go home. I'm writing this because of the way a mechanic spoke to me when I brought my boyfriends car here. He told me he wouldn't work on my boyfriends car after the manager told me to bring his car in. Told me his car had a blown head gasket without even looking at it. Took his car to pep boys today to find out that it only had a bad thermostat. How do they confuse the two? I'm disgusted. Had my car towed all the way from brea to orange because the stupid mechanic though it was a blown head gasket - thanks tony. You were so pleasant. My dad owns one of the biggest rim companies in the U.S. And now he refuses to send any of his people to Firestone after I told him what happened. read more

Had an appointment at 1 pm for a certain tire that was supposed to be in stock. When I got there at 1 they told me they couldn't get to my truck until 4 and would hopefully be done by the end of the day. why would I make an appointment at 1 to sit around for 3 hours to get one tire fixed. I dropped the car to have alignment and tire rotation. I usually go to the location in Santa Ana as they have been superb on all the works that were performed on my cars. as this location is closer to home, i decided to give it a shot. there were a LOT of car/customers. so that tell me that these guys are doing their job correctly. the work took a little longer than promised, but that happens and i'm ok with that. my only complaint is that there are times that these guys don't pick up their phone. and I know it's because they are so busy. maybe it's time to beef up the staff for the customers? read more

Every aspect of the experience was pleasant - making the appointment, dropping it off the night before, & communicating with the staff. They did not upsell or push extra services. They called as soon as the car was ready - we did not have to call them for status. Our car was damaged twice by another Firestone store & the Brea staff was great in listening to our concerns and making sure our car was well taken care of & not damaged while in their shop. Will not be back!! I have had all of my vehicles serviced here since I could drive...I'm now 32. My last experience here was to replace my brakes. Had them replaced and they sounded wierd and felt weird as well. Since I was unhappy I took my vehicle back. The tech that worked on it drove it around and told me he didn't hear anything and maybe it was nothing. Possibly brake dust and/or me being super picky. I have never heard that before, but I though ok what do I know. Well it kept making the noise and feeling weird and I thought I have never heard anyone tell me it's just brake dust. The other weird thing is that my mother had her brakes done there too and her car sounded just like mine. Coincidence?! I think not. So my vehicle has been making this sound and feeling weird when I brake since June last year when I had them serviced at the Brea location. I just had it serviced at the Laguna Hills Mall location and low and behold, my brake noise is gone and they had fixed the problem. They didn't try to convince me that I was crazy or that it was just break dust. So happy with them and will not be making the journey up to the Brea store. I would take your vehicle to another firestone if I were you. Management has changed and so have the tech.'s. I spend a lot of money to repair my vehicle and I expect more than just being told that it's brake dust or my imagination. What a bunch of bull! read more

Buyers B E W A R E!!! Customer service stinks here. We used to come here until today. Not no more. They tried to take advantage of my wife by giving bs about having to buy a brand new tire vs. a simple patch. They said there were 2 nails but in fact there was only 1 nail. The other so called nail was actually a piece of small glass. We found this out after taking our car to a better place "Big O Tires". Scary that firestone could not even tell the difference between a nail and a piece of glass. Of course they rambled on about some policy of the distance between the 2 nails in the tire and how they had to replace the tire vs. patching it. Service tech would not listen to my wife otherwise. Our mechanic even agreed with us upon calling him. So when we took it to Big O Tires, there customer service was excellent. No arguments, and they even patched up our tire. No questions asked, no pressure in buying a new tire. Booked an oil change for 8:30am. I got there a lot earlier at 8:05am. They drove my car into the Bay at 8:15am, I was out the door at 9:08am. I have had a lot faster oil changes but that's not my major gripe. When I presented a coupon to Gregg, he said my car an Audi A4 1.8T used 7.5 quarts of oil so I needed to be charged extra. Not knowing better I agreed. Now I looked on the internet at the Audi handbook and it states the capacity as 4.3 quarts. I double checked with the Dealer and they confirmed the same. So in reality I got charged nearly 3 quarts extra. All I say is beware - I am not going back to argue on the difference. I just hope others don't get ripped off like me!!! read more

Do NOT get your brakes fixed here! We brought in my car for new rear tires (and to fix the parking brake because it had difficulty engaging). Firestone called to tell us that our rear brakes needed replacing, so we agreed to it. The next day I drove 30 miles out of town; when I departed the freeway on a long, steep, off-ramp, by brakes would barely engage! I had to depress the brake almost to the floor and I almost hit the car in front of me. I got very nervous so I pulled off in a vacant parking lot to see what was going on. The more I drove and braked, the more the brake seemed to lose its grip. On top of that, my parking brake wouldn't engage at all now! And my car smelled like burnt rubber!!! I could even hear puffs of air when I pressed the brake. Called AAA and they transported my car to a local Firestone whereupon inspection, the serviceman told me that we got a bad pair of brakes and the whoever replaced them needed to get yelled at. He told me that the drums (brakes) needed to be prepped before placement and these weren't; one had even warped badly, hence the burning smell. I had only driven about 30 miles!! So, the following day, we brought it back to Brea Firestone to tell them that 1) they never fixed the parking brake that we requested a few days ago and 2) their technician, Jeremy, needs some retraining as to how to properly put on rear drums (brakes) so that this doesn't happen to anyone else. Ryhan, the manager, did not even apologize. It was like talking to a statue. He said he'd take a look and call us. Not one ounce of compassion for endangering our lives with faulty brakes! An, "I'm sorry for your trouble," would have gone a long way. Very poor customer service. Will probably be looking for a different auto shop. read more

Where do I begin? Update on my prior review. I was told to bring my car back if I had any other issues and the store manager apologized for all the issues I had. So I had another issue with my car and decided to let Firestone try and redeem themselves. The manager, who is very nice told me to have my car towed over there and he would have it all taken care of. The tow truck pulls up to the lot, Tony runs out and says get it off the lot because they refuse to work on cars with blown head gaskets. First of all, what? Why wouldn't you fix a blown head gasket? Second, the car is still on the tow truck, how do you know it has a blown head gasket? Tony says, "we noticed it last time it was here and didn't tell you guys." EXCUSE ME?! You let me drive around in a car with a blown head gasket and didn't tell me? Great job on customer service. read more

Be prepared to wait for hours to get no service done whatsoever. I went in to get my break pads checked, mind you- they knew the year, make and model of my car BEFORE I even arrived. I waited for an hour and a half just to find out exactly what needs to be done to my car. They called me and said all I need done are my back break pads changed and it will take another hour and a half to get done. I said okay and they call me 5 minutes later- they can't do it. Why? Their machine doesn't have the capabilities to remove my break pads. How is it that they don't know that BEFORE they started "checking"? Also- how is it that they don't have the capabilities to work on a car that was built over 2.5 years ago? I spoke to the supervisor, Matt, that had a smug and unapologetic attitude about the whole situation- I had been waiting with my 7 yr old AND a 4 yr old. Needless to say, I will NOT EVER return and tell everyone I know to do the same. I have never experienced such ignorance and carelessness in their craft. Complete disregard for customer service and poor attitude doesn't help either. They deserve zero stars. read more

Will never go here again. Live close so came here with a flat tire(nail) car is only a year old and tires are fine. They are starting to wear but definitely not bad. Was told could not patch and need all new tires. When I asked to replace 1 the guy said he couldn't because I have an AWD and my only option was to replace all. I went to my car and then came back in with the owner manual to show that was not the case and he said it was because all my tires were so bad. I drive down the street to So Cal tires who patched my tire in 20 minutes and didn't even charge me! read more

Came here randomly because my Jetta started idling and desperately needed an oil change.... okay so they offered my boyfriend and I and oil change and a full inspection on a code that had popped up for and ignition coil (4th coil) needing to be replaced.... so they wanted a ridiculous amount of $700 to do everything... if I wanted to spend that much I would just go to Volkswagen... any ways my boyfriend did some research after being told it was going to cost that much... ( he fixed and replaced the parts him self for 1/2 that price) and we were told when we picked up my car that it was for sure the 4th and to clear the code for my car to run fine... well turns out that the guys working replaced the 4th (bad coil) and put it in a WORKING coil (the 3rd) so they had lied to us and told us the wrong information. Just kind of shady.... do research or have someone who is somewhat knowledgeable check it out for you! 1 start for that... just wish they told us they had replaced.... :/ read more
