They do good work they just tax on the parts they sell you. They don't use aftermarket parts you purchase only theirs because they are back by a "lifetime warranty". I got my TPMS valve stem replaced 1 for $148...But I got this lifetime wheel alignment for $200 so I guess it's worth it. They also do inspections for $50 so that's better than the dealership. I can agree with all the other comments. they're running a scam shop. Francisco Ramos the manager is in on it. He hung up on me after they tried to say things wrong with my car but no proof. Suki also lies about the final price and they forge your signature to say that you authorized the charges for the work they did. dropped my car off at 8am and had to call them at 3pm asking where the car was. Was hung up on and then had to call back again only to be put on hold. Tensions escalated until I had enough and called the police. Got a call saying my car was ready for pickup showed up about 20 minutes later and was told the mechanic still hadn't started the work. Another hour later and finally they completed the oil change. In all the oils change took 3.5 hours. Then when I get back they tell me the delay is due to the mechanic stripping the oil plug and causing a leak. It's disheartening that because I am a woman I was given less than positive responses by many places I called - people should remember they never know who they are talking too... This was not the case when I called Firestone in Belmont! They were professional and courteous on the phone when scheduling my appointment and discussing the issues I was having. My car did need new front pads and rotors, and I can't express to you the level of customer service that Teresa provided. She is beyond amazing! Any company would be LUCKY to have her as an employee. I had a screw in my tire. These guys said they plugged tires and they saw the tire and said they could get it done. This was at 10am. At 4 pm I called them asking the status and they said they weren't able to get to it. I came the next morning and they tell me they are not able to plug it. Communication has been poor, service has been very poor and quality of business is not worth your time. You'd be much better off going to Walmart auto care across the street. Update: they already had my tire off my car and then told me they wouldn't plug it, but I could buy 2 tires. This is after the associate yesterday told me they would be able to plug it. I asked them just to put the donut on it so I could take it to VW dealership since I had the tires under warranty. He came back 30 min later and told me it would be 14 dollars to put the donut on. Don't recommend this place. Brought my car in on a Saturday and had Teresa tell me they had the parts to fix my clutch same day. FOUR DAYS LATER I'm able to pick up my car. They never called me to give updates. I had to call them to ask what was going on. They broke a piece of my pressure plate and used that as an excuse to why they didn't return my car within the promised time frame. Then I spoke to Francisco about the whole thing and was told I would be compensated for the mistake. They ended up taking $150 off of a $2500 invoice and I couldn't even speak with a manager when I picked up my car around 6pm on a Wednesday because they had gone home already. i Highly recommend this shop. Even though it is a large chain I got 1,000x the service I got at a local shop where my car has been in the shop for 2 months. After 1 engine replacement they told me I needed another because of a blown head gasket but it was just a water pump. Had 4 flat tires because they dropped a bucket of screws in their gravel lot and would not use a magnet to get them up and after the engine replacement I had a terrible popping in my right tire. Although it can't be proved i think they didn't tighten everything down after the engine replacement and my sway bar was damaged. Firestone immediately found the problem quickly and got it fixed. i will take my car here from now on the difference in the customer service was like night and day. I wish I had used them first. After the nightmare I experienced this was a refreshing experience. read more

When told of a issue, at my request they were very quick to show me on the car, this is very important to me. when showing me, the garage was very clean and orderly. BAD SERVICE. I got brakes and Rotors on my vehicle. I had to take it back a week later due to the noise. They said the rotors melted and replaced them. My car sat for 2 months at dealership waiting on a part. In May the dealership told me the rotors were warped when I took it back they replaced them again with what they call top of the line parts. After 2 weeks I still smell a burning smell so I take it back for a state inspection they said the brakes were fine, I asked why the burn smell he said he can replace the pads again I said you been replacing and they don't last why.He says it may be the way you drive I said no its these cheap parts you put on. They also have passed my state inspection for the last 2 years all of a sudden they fail me for window tint.I asked how it passed the last 2 years and all he can say it doesn't pass. Worst experience ever! Called and scheduled an appointment for a wheel alignment, decided to go with the $219 lifetime alignment and was downright disrespected! Instead of being told my car had bad control arms, I was told that I was all set and sent on my way. Upon leaving I noticed that my car still pulled to the right so I immediately turned around and returned to address the issue. I asked the attendant if he had an experienced tech in the back because my car was still out of line and his reply was yes he's one of my best! After taking a second look the tech pulls the car back around and the attendant tells me that I have faulty control arms! Quite naturally my reply was that I didn't like that answer because if that's the case I just waisted $219. The attendant then replied "well you just paid for a lifetime alignment so just have it repaired and bring it back and we'll realign it. Wrong answer! After requesting a refund I was given the run around for four whole trips! One attendant, tech, manager after the next told me that they were unable to refund my money and I would have to speak to the store manager "Fransisco" who then told me in order for him to refund my money he would have to to put my car back on a lift and undo what had been done which was nothing to correct the the reason I scheduled the appointment in the first place. What was so dumb of the attendant is he never offered me an option to have the control arms replaced which would have been my choice because my car although purchased used a week prior has a 48 month 60k mile powertrain warranty covering all major suspension components as well. Fransisco attempting to belittle me tells me I need tires but what he didn't know was I asked his attendant if the current tires would be safe to drive on for at least another month which he informed me after telling me I was all set that "yes" your tires will be fine for another month. My plan was to purchase a set from them first week in February had all gone well from the onset but from what I experienced, staff is more geared to giving customers the shaft instead of an honest opportunity for quality service! I was told by my Toyota Dealership in Rock Hill that I needed an alignment on my vehicle so I decided to bring it to Firestone because they offer a lifetime alignment for 179.00 and the dealership wanted 89.00 for a one year warranty. When I brought my vehicle in I explained to Brad the situation about what I had been told and what needed to be done. About an hour later Brad calls to inform me that my vehicle is perfectly aligned and there was no unusual wearing of the tires. I was shocked because of everything that I had been told by Rock Hill Toyota. I listened to Brad and knowing that I didn't need an alignment made me feel great but knowing that Brad was upfront and completely honest with me was humbling because they could've done the repair and not said anything but they operated with integrity. In the auto service business, it's all about the up sells and trying to get the customer to make repairs that aren't necessary and I've come to expect being up sold on every visit. But, this was one of the first times I've been told that a service was not needed and everything was fine. Because my vehicle was already there at the shop and I knew eventually I would get the lifetime alignment I told Brad to go ahead and do the service even though it didn't need it. I felt empowered in making a decision with all the facts and no details being left in the dark. If you want honest answers and work done correctly, definitely come to Firestone in Belmont and ask for Brad. I mean, 5 stars is nothing to throw around, but I feel like it's necessary for an auto repair shop because so many times people try and screw you over. Dane from Firestone knows a little bit about customer service. Long story short, he explained the problems with my car IN DETAIL and the cost associated with everything, before they ever started any repairs. He was very honest with me about what needed to be done for safety reasons and what could wait, and he was very patient when I asked him to explain things again. He's a guy that understands that when you ask someone to spend $700+ to fix their car, they will have questions and concerns. But then... he went a step above. He called me back and told me that SURPRISE! The repairs would cost LESS than what he quoted me on the phone. Less. Did you hear me? I said LESS. He could VERY easily had just charged me what he originally quoted, but he explained that they were able to refurbish a part that they were going to replace, and saved me about $130. How many times can you say that you went into a car repair expecting to spend a certain amount, and because of the skillfullness and kindness of the technician, they SAVED you money. That's what makes it a 5-star experience. He also honored a $50 off coupon that had expired. Top notch customer service. Very knowledgeable, very friendly. I took my car there. They called me with the wrong diagnosis the 1st time. I told them how to do their job and what was the problem. They looked and agreed I was right. They proceeded to quote me a price and tell me they could only find the parts from Toyota. I agreed and told them to move forward. Then on Monday I got a call from a lady who sounded miserable to even be at work. She proceeded to tell me that what I was told and quoted that they can't do. They would have to do a lot more work costing me more money. Then she lied about the condition of the current part on the car. When I called her out on it she told me to come get my car. This was the first place I ventured out to after moving to the area. I wasn't disappointed. The guys who work there are kind and helpful and do a great job. They didn't try to sell me stuff I didn't want or need. They were even honest about stuff that I never would have figured out. (Nope, my air filter looked just fine.) Being a woman, that's a big deal to me, because I feel like auto mechanics frequently try to take advantage of women. One other thing that was nice about my experience was how clean their store is. A lot of mechanics' waiting areas are beyond disgusting. So filthy I don't want to sit, touch anything, and especially not bring my kids. This place was spotless! Came here based on the positive reviews. Lauren with Firestone was always friendly every time I spoke to her on the phone as well as in person. I would give her 5 stars for her service and demeanor. We dropped off our car and a male quoted my husband $99 for a diagnostic fee. My husband then came to confirm with me if that would be ok. I said we are here, sure! He then comes back out and tells me that we he went back in, the man gave him a break and dropped the price to $69.99 before tax. A day later, I received a phone call of the estimate for $695 + the diagnostic fee would be separate therefore, a bill of about $800 total for our 2000 Toyota Sienna. That was supposed to include all spark plugs, the fee for a coil of some sort and then the cost of labor. When I asked the mechanic over the phone why it was so expensive, he told me it would be 3.5 hours of work. We chose this place also because it was conveniently 10 minutes to our home. I then decided to call Toyota of North Charlotte and was quoted a much lower price. We then decided NOT to go with the repair with Firestone, paid a $69.99 + tax $5.00 + $4.20 supplies fee for total of $79.19. We picked up our minivan and took it to Toyota of North Charlotte. Their diagnostic fee was only $59.99 (wow, a dealership way cheaper?AWESOME!) and they told us if we went with their service, it would be waived and we would just pay for the service and supplies itself. We gave the report from Firestone to Toyota of Lake Norman and after their mechanic looked at it, they advised us there was NO NEED for any COILs of any sorts and it would only take an hour for the spark plug repair. WOW! What a difference compared to Firestone! We left Toyota of Lake Norman paying only $239.00 for an hour and a half wait! Amazing! I would say, use Firestone for simple services, tires, oil change ... small things, but anything more, get another quote elsewhere! I was really disappointed and this confirmed my fears of not being able to trust car shops. Go to a dealership. Even the cost of the diagnostic fee at Firestone was higher than the dealerships! I should have taken the car to the dealership but I wanted to give Firestone a chance and I am glad I went with my gut to pass on it. m writing about my experience with at radiator repair at a Firestone complete care center in Fredrick-burg VA. My daughter was traveling home to NC from Delaware. when her vehicle started to over heat. She pulled over and immediately called me. I informed my daughter to pull over and call road side assistance. They determined there was a leak in her radiator. Roadside assistance got my daughter to the nearest FCC. Unfortunately I had to get my daughter back home to work the next day so I purchased a plane ticket for her. The next Day i received a call from FS stating the radiator needed to be replaced. I authorized the repair of which I thought was extremely high over 900 for a 2005 Honda civic radiator labor and parts. To make a long story short the vehicle was repaired I paid over the phone and my daughter picked the vehicle up the following weekend. after about four hours of driving the vehicle began to overheat again. She stopped and called AAA and had the vehicle towed back to a Firestone in Belmont NC. The next morning I received a call from the second store stating the vehicle was improperly repaired in VA. As a result the vehicle has a blown head gasket and will need to be sent out to be repaired. My complaint at this point is that no one has called to update me on the claim process nor has anyone reached out to rectify my inconvenience., that is, provide a temporary vehicle for my daughter to drive while being repaired. Additionally I think the cost of the initial repair was outrageous I priced a new radiator for the vehicle at less than 50 dollars and a radiator kit at 184.00. The is seriously over priced. I have used Firestone for years and the service at least in NC has always been stellar. But their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. At this point I would settle for a phone call with information about next steps. The damage incurred to my daughters vehicle is clearly the mistake of Firestone in Virginia. I would think they would be a lot more prompt with resolution of the claim and speedy restitution. It is frustrating waiting on a call that never comes. read more
