I was hesitant to take my car to Firestone after all the feedback here, but I needed an alignment and oil change on my beloved 4Runner and they were very accommodating, meaning they fit me in within a few hours of my request. I have to say that I am very impressed with this location. They were able to fit me in with just a few hours notice. They completed the repairs within two hours, which I really appreciated. They didn't uncharge me or suggest unnecessary repairs, which I was prepared for given my car is 23 years old! And they were very friendly. After my car stalled by the side of I-5 near Bellingham, I called for tow truck service. The question was where to take the car to be serviced. Since I was not familiar with auto shops nearby, I decided to go with a national auto shop since it was a Sunday afternoon. I wanted to make sure that the place that it was being towed to was open. Hence the decision to go with Firestone. This location seems to be centrally located. Not familiar with the area, but that is the impression I got. It is near a Grocery Outlet branch, so you can go there while you wait for the car to be serviced. The waiting room is a bit droll, but they have a TV and coffee/tea/water here. Unfortunately, no wi-fi. Service was good, though a bit costly. They were able to find the root of the problem that caused my car to stall. Having fixed the problem, I was able to get back to Bellevue without issue. There was an issue with a car sensor that was not caught at the same time, but I was happy to not be stuck in Bellingham for the night. Thanks to Firestone for saving the day. read more

Well, not a place you want to end up when traveling lol, was spending a long weekend in Bellingham and my wifes car died on us, so we had it towed here- it turned out to be a Alternator, the first one they put in was to powerful for her car apparently as it was putting out 17 amps and they said her car (Toyota Echo) factory says 14 amps, so they had to have a different one brought in- and this one was the right one. So spent around 8 hours here waiting for her car to get fixed, they were nice enough to let me have control of the remote lol, so had Star Trek Voyager and then Peoples Court on. In the end, with labor and parts ended up costing almost $350 :( Ouch! Overall, friendly people here- but really, not much in options in regards places to eat or to kill time! I used their online system to order and make a reservation for installation of a set of tires. I went through their system and choose the tires they suggested and requested a time for installation. A few hours later I received a call stating they would not be able to schedule me at the requested time, but later that same day. I confirmed that appointment time and having dealt with installers before, I inquired if the tires I ordered would be in stock. The Firestone representative than advised me that the tires I ordered, again based upon the Firestone recommendation, are "not available but we have others in the size needed". Great I thought until I asked if the price was comparable to what I ordered. The available tires would be double the price originally quoted! No thanks. I had an appointment to get my oil changed and my tires rotated at 3pm. Got there a few minutes before 3 and was told the services would take about an hour. I proceeded to sit in the waiting area and around 415pm I saw my car finally go into the shop. I could see my car from the waiting area as the employees were working on multiple cars at once. I ended up leaving around 520pm. I am highly disappointed in the fact that I had a scheduled appointment and my car was not even looked at for over an hour after. I do all my own work on my car besides things I need expensive machines for like and alignment, mounting of tires and balancing. I had replaced my steering rack and brought it in to get an alignment and when they finish they told me it was easy out of alignment. I told them of course it was it's an entirely new steering rack. Well when I went to change my oil by the time it was time to change it I immediately noticed they didn't loosen the clamp on the outside end my tie rod boot and they twisted both boots up to where they couldn't get straightened out again. I told them what happened and they completely denied they have anything to do with it, so I had to replace them myself. Well the way the steering works is the tie rods push out and in to turn the wheels. The only reason they twist is to align the wheels and I think I would know who aligned my cars front end. read more

I recently had to get a vehicle inspected and I was super impressed with how smoothly it went. I called Firestone Complete Auto Care to make an appointment - wow, these guys are busy! They squeezed me in a few days later and I was greeted with a smile, dropped off my car (and keys), and told to come back in an hour. Sure enough, almost exactly an hour later I returned and my inspection was done. They handed me all of the requisite paperwork, thanked me for my business, and invited me to come back if I ever have another automotive-related need. This place definitely had a small, hometown business feel to it. Not to mention they're within walking distance to several great downtown restaurants! read more

Not impressed. I went in for a potential battery replacement, which I got. But that's not all I got. They managed to disconnect some parts of my Mazda's computer, causing it to completely shut down when coming to a stop. My mechanic was able to reconnect everything in less than an hour, but I was really disappointed in the customer service response when I called Firestone to explain what happened. No apology. What I got was an over-priced battery with a sloppy installation. And poor customer service to boot. read more

They've done jobs for me with faulty parts and fixed almost none of my car's problems while charging me hundreds of dollars. On top of that most of the mechanics are extremely condescending and rude. I went into the Firestone store where I had purchased my tires previously and asked to have nail removed from one of those tires and repaired. I was asked if I had an appointment - no I didn't have time to plan an appointment but I did have a nail in my tire. I then was told I could not get in immediately but I would have to leave the car for the day and they would slip it in sometime. I drove to Les Schwab where there were no questions asked but I did have to wait a couple of hours. I called this morning to see if they'd look at my smart car (not a super common vehicle so I always call to check first) to check a maintenance light that was on. It needed an oil change a month or so ago that I did myself and wasn't sure if the light was indicating the need for reset after that was done or indicating something else. They said to bring it in and they'd see what they could do. I brought it in and they hooked up a scanner to my car checked everything realized it was just the reset needed after doing an oil change and said I was good to go. The staff was super friendly and didn't charge me for anything. I was anxious about the possibilities of what the maintenance light could have been but was so relieved and the whole process took less than 15. Even though it was small I would return and recommend Firestone for something bigger. read more

The folks he was interacting with were very kind and understanding but i felt bad for the way he was speaking to them. Their reservation system is worse than a joke. I made on online reservation for a flat repair for 1pm. Received an email confirmation That my reservation had been received. Turns out that all that confirmation meant that they had received my request. When I arrived at the shop I was told that that time slot wasn't available and I'd have a minimum 5 hour wait. Why does their online appointment system even show a time slot that isn't available, much less let one sign up for that slot. Better to not have an online system at all than to mislead customers into thinking they have a reservation. The least they could have done would have been to let me know via email that my "reservation" wasn't going to be accepted. What a farce. read more

I was a customer of this Firestone for years, but I will, sadly, NEVER be going back. I got an oil change done and while driving shortly thereafter, all of the oil poured out from beneath my vehicle. Turns out, they neglected to put the gasket for the oil pan plug back in after changing my oil, which allowed the plug to loosen and oil to leak out of my engine. The kicker? Once I had the car towed and they fixed it, IT HAPPENED AGAIN. This is NOT a flaw with my vehicle, they have just been careless with their work here. Replacing a gasket is not rocket science. Firestone has lost a loyal customer, this sort of incompetence is inexcusable. read more

I went into firestone with a flat tire they fixed the flat tire for me but when I got home I noticed scuffs on my passenger side door, angry about it I went back to tell them and they told me that there was no way that I could have happened because of them. So I can't argue with that because there's no way of me proving my facts. But today as I looked at my car because when I got back it was pretty late I saw that the rim of the tire that had a flat was all scuffed up all around the rim. I want to let you know I never once drove that wheel when it was flat I took it off and put on my spare. And I know that those scuffs were not there before. This is the best shop I have been to in Bellingham. I took my car to the VW dealership because my windshield wipers were making a funny noise and they couldn't fix it. When I took my car to Firestone to see if they could figure what's up with the windshield wipers, they were overly helpful and figured out the problem. Not only did they fix it, they were fast, friendly, and they even explained to me what was wrong with the wipers, in terms I could understand. Ever since then I take my car to Firestone for anything and everything. When I go in for a oil change they get it in and out in a jiffy. Great shop, great guys. Helpful and friendly. read more

Awful service! Our 18 year old daughter had a flat tire on 11/12/17 at 7:30 am when she was trying to leave Bellingham to get to work in Redmond where we live. They refused to help her because there were 7 cars before her and they said she would have to leave the car for the day. She was just driving through, she was crying, she needed help. They wouldn't even help her put on the spare. My husband had to call and he begged Michael to at least help her put on the spare so that she could make it to work. Michael eventually agreed to help her, but said "keep in mind, I am helping her instead of SEVEN OTHER customers". He looked at the tire and told her she needed a new one even though the tire had nail in the tread and not the sidewall. They MADE her buy a new tire in order for them to even help her - no integrity and rude employees at this location. read more

So I went to the Firestone Complete Auto Care in Bellingham Washington on 9/17/ 2018 where I was going to get an alignment that I had 5 years ago paid $180 for Lifetime free alignments with the same vehicle my service advisor was Michael I was there for about an hour I hold on to the shop with my GPS in window my sunglasses in the side door a little bag of Santa hand sanitizers and I left and I was gone for about an hour and realized my GPS was gone my sunglasses were gone and my sanitizers were gone what kind of reputable Nationwide company lets their employees steal stuff it is a very wrong thing to do in a very good way to lose customers so I could give these company a negative review I would I would at least expect them to reimburse me for the stolen items out of their employees Paychex the only thing that I signed when I got back my keys was the note saying I have received the above goods and or Services if this is a credit card purchase agreed to pay and comply with cardholder agreement with the issuer that is the only thing that I signed for they're saying that if I signed the paperwork saying anything left in the vehicle is not their responsibility do not leave valuable items in car I expect a full refund for a $250 pair of prescription sunglasses and $180 GPS once again I am very very disappointed in these people read more

If you like Con Artists, or have a bunch of extra money to blow... This is your place! I took my truck in to have the brake pads checked after smoking them slightly coming down a mountain. Here's what they quoted me: $2031.56 They told me I needed New Rear Drums, new pads, and that my front Rotors were getting dangerously thin, and couldn't be machined, only replaced. They told me that to replace the rotors, I needed to also replace the front hub assembly. (Some BS about not being able to repack the bearings.) And that I needed to replace a ball joint. Not having $2000, I didn't drive my truck for 3 1/2 months because I was told it was not safe to drive. Then I got smart, bought a Chilton's manual and discovered how full of SH*T they were. I took my truck to a REAL mechanic, who gave me an oil change, replaced my serpentine belt and refused to replace the brakes... because they were totally fine... rotors were plenty thick, as were the pads. I considered suing Firestone, but in the end decided against it. read more

I'm a little confused as to why people have mentioned receiving good service/friendliness here. I went in today for my scheduled oil change and after waiting for about ten minutes while the clerk at the counter was rude to the men in front of me, I was finally acknowledged. I told the man at the counter that I had an appointment at 5:30 for an oil change. He replies, "No you don't." In a very condescending tone and then continued to go about other business. I showed him my confirmation email for my appointment and said I made the appointment the day before. He again dismissed me and said, "You don't have an appointment, there's no way I'm going to help you today." I asked why and he went off on me about how he only had one employee working today and that he couldn't fit in an oil change, despite the fact that there were two other employees unoccupied in the waiting room and I had a confirmed appointment. After listening to him speak down to me like I was inconveniencing him for showing up to my appointment, I took my business elsewhere. I would have been fine missing out on my oil change today had he apologized or offered to make me another appointment. Instead he chose to be rude and condescending. He obviously had no knowledge of what customer service means. I will never return here and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Had a friend agree to having her radiator hose changed because it felt "soft" conveniently they didn't have the soft radiator hoses afterward. When I went with her to pick it up because I thought the charge of 350 dollars to change 2 radiator hoses was exhorbitant I asked about every charge. When the guy got to the two hoses that were 86 dollars he tried to tell me and even showed me that the price was the same price as NAPA sells them for. When I pulled out my cell phone and went to NAPA's website the parts were only 34 dollars for the pair. Then he tried to explain it that they needed to make a profit off of the parts. First time getting an oil change in my new car and well ever on my own...Hmm how do I put this.. Let's just say I learned my lesson about going to a tire joint for an oil change on the last day of the month. Had just got done washing my car at the car wash (so I was cleaning the tires) I had no "bulge" in my front right tire especially nothing the size the older man showed me saying "you've got a bulge it's not safe you need to replace that tire" I call a friend who is more knowledgeable about this kind of setting he tells me they did the apparently 'common' act of personally inflicting the bulge so that you'll buy new tires. I was shocked and when I put my friend on the phone the older man soon gave the phone back refusing to talk to him (let's face it; being defensive and rude and diverting a concern from a customer only means one thing ) he went on to tell me he now realizes that he does not have a part he needs to even take my tire of and put on a spare...I drive a 06 passat not a spaceship there was an audi being worked on next to me I found it hard to believe they didn't have what I needed to temporarily fix a problem they had allegedly caused (mechanics will never own up to something like this guys it's just a lesson learned..and as frustrated as I was I went to discount tire for some honest answers they had the part I needed and fixed what needed to be fixed quick and for free so thanks to them for cleaning up this places mess... read more
