I generally don't write bad reviews, but this had to me be made. Please read the recent reviews and do not go here. I went in to get a free brake inspection because I was worried that my brakes were worn out. After around 2 hours, the aid working the counter claimed that my car's rotors were too damaged to be resurfaced. This was later found to be untrue upon a second inspection elsewhere. I was also told that the brake pads in both front and back were worn out thin and close to the metal. This also was later to be found untrue. I'm doubtful that they even did a brake inspection. All said and done they tried to charge me for brake and rotor replacements alongside other fees amounting up to $1500. I was suspicious of the fees and thankfully I declined. A second opinion revealed that I still had plenty of brake padding left and the rotors were perfectly fine. Keep your money and find another shop. read more

Came in for a vibration my vehicle was making and was advised it was due to the transmission mount. They also told me I needed a new front axel and back breaks. I decided to go with it as long as the vibration was fixed as it had been an ongoing situation. They returned my car and the vibration was not fixed. My vehicle was rumbling more than it normally was at cold start and I could not get in touch with anyone after. I called a couple of times and no response. They always up-sale you on anything you go in for and you almost feel forced to go with it or you're advised "they cannot allow for your car to leave their shop in that condition" parts was close to 400 and labor over 400! That makes no sense specially when the situation was not fixed. I will be moving forward and filing a claim with the Bureau of automotive repair. read more

So I recently took my car to get a car aligment here, I paid for the " lifetime aligment warranty" for my car. The first time they did the aligment the car was fine for a few days but then the aligment went off again, went for a second time and the service was done again. The car was fine for a few days before the aligment went off again. I was told if it happens again to bring it in and they'll work on it again. I went back for a third time cause once again it happened. When I arrived the manager at the time remembered me, he took my keys and went to check my mileage and then came back. But soon after he's attitude changed and told me he was refunding my money from the prior time and refused to service my car. I told him that I didn't want the refund that I just wanted my car aligned again, that I paid for the "lifetime aligment warranty" for a reason. As soon as I said that he stopped what he doing out his hands on the counter and he's eyes got wide, he stared me down for about 10 seconds looking like he wanted to explode on me or punch me in the face. Soon after he forced rush my refund and gave me my receipt and walked away. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with any business, the manager was extremely unprofessional and seems to have anger issues. I went from feeling like a valued customer to someone who wasn't welcomed there. I want to make note that I wasn't rude whatsoever, I was mindful and respectful and yet I was treated like garbage. I didn't get his name but I can describe him, almost 6 ft tall, on the heavy side, Latino who kinda looks like farva from the movie "super troopers" . I am in no way trying to mock him I just have no other way to identify him. He had no name tag on him and walked away before I could ask. I would recommend staying away from this location unless your looking to get treated like trash. It's not worth it, and stay away from from "lifetime aligment warranty" they won't honor it. Be careful with the angry manager, he definitely has issues and should not be in the position he's in. read more

I just left one star because I wanted to leave a review. I took my Subaru in a few weeks ago for an oil change because a family member trusts these guys. Don't go here. I'm so sorry but I almost experienced permanent damage to my vehicle. I took it in for an oil change and after being given advice by someone there who claimed to know Subaru's I left and just a few days later my car was smoking almost on fire when I pulled in. I pop the hood and the oil filter is loose. Oil sprayed everywhere. I'll leave photos. So in addition to having to tow the car all the way back on a work day they simply redid the oil change and I had to pay for my own pressure wash which was good but my car still smells like burning oil to this day. They refunded me my money for the pressure wash BUT NOT THE OIL CHANGE. I missed a whole day of work which is precious to my life but I missed a whole days worth of pay which is a car payment. You think they'd offer me compensation? For my lost day at work? What if my engine had seized? I got a simple I'm sorry and a pay back for something they should've done at their location for their screw up. read more

I was quoted a price for ONE tire at $192. Requested for other options. Was quoted for $162. Scheduled an appointment and arrived stating I had an appointment. When it was time to pay, the cashier told me the price was $192. I informed the cashier it was suppose to be $162. The front desk employee Art, stated that was what was quoted to me the prior day and he was there when it was done and remembers. 1) He was not there. When I question him on the time, he said around 2-3. I was there around 1. 2) He was rude and kept insisting I was wrong. They bait and switch the tire on me and felt no guilt about trying to make it right. They told me I also need a Tire Pressure Monitoring System Senor that would cost about $200. Due to the bait and switch and rude service, I found I went to Company C Tire in Rosemead which only charged me $100. I went in for an oil change because I'm not particularly loyal to any oil change place because 1) service is whatevers and 2) they always try to up-sell a lady (and take advantage of the fact that she knows nothing about cars). I told Frank I had to get to a meeting in 40 minutes and he was able to finish everything in 35. Impeccable timing! During my wait, I stayed in the lobby with my laptop working and enjoying the free wi-fi, woohoo! Frank let me know that my battery was getting low and that it should be replaced soon. Since I'm usually on-the-go for work and driving is a necessity, I did not want to risk my battery dying out when I make the trek for an event somewhere far far away. Sweet, I got the battery changed. Now I have a go-to spot for my oil change and a comfy couch to work while I wait! read more

Crooks! I took in my car because the light for my tire pressure went on and I figured since I had bought the lifetime alignment and rotation they would take care of me. Well the worker came out to look at my car and said it was in bad shape and I needed to get a new tire. When I pointed out the nail in the tire, he said, "Oh it's not even in a place that is repairable". He said I needed new tires ASAP. Luckily I had an appointment to get to and did not have time to get it done at that time. I yelped tires in the area and ended up taking my car to Tire Central. Turns out that I didn't need new tires and that the nail was repairable. I just feel like they prey on customers and make them feel like something is needed urgently when it is not. read more

This place just sucks!!! I went to get an oil change about 2 weeks ago and my friend recommended this place. I was working in Alhambra that day so I decided to pass by and get an oil change. When I asked how long it would take the guy said and hour at the most so i just told him I would wait. As I waited I was able to see my car parked on the street. 45 min. into it my car was still parked in the same spot and nobody was working on it. I asked the guy how much longer and he told me it would be another hour. I told him to just to forget about it and I wasn't going to wait that long. So I pretty much sat there in the waiting area for an hour just watching EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND while my car sat there. I do not recommend this place. Stay away they will waste your time. read more

Beware and get a second opinion. Last time I was in, the representative said I need 2 new tires. I was in for just an oil change. He was correct that my front tires were out of alignment. Repacing the tires was questionalble to be done right away. Last year, I had a flat tire, and the representative told me that I had to buy 2 new tires for they were not the same as the tires I replacing. I did it, but I had my doubts. Having 2 set of different tires on the car did not seem right to me. Today I was in and was told about buying 2 new tires again. Today the woman before me came in for a new battery, and the representative was pressing her to buy life allignment policy. She just came in for a battery. Boy, red flags of danger were waving. Something is up with this place. Beware. Today, I just said that I was not buying new tires and left. I just did not believe the representative was being fair and honest. I was very upset at this particular Firestone location for doing such a lousy job on my car. After taking my car in for an alignment, my car veered even more to the right. I brought it in the second time for adjustment. This time it veered way to the left and the steering wheel was crooked. It seemed these guys had no clue what they were doing. To inflame the matter (the second visit on Saturday) the guy did not inform me that my car was ready while I was waiting for over an hour and a half in the waiting room area. I brought my car to the Pasadena location on Colorado Blvd instead for the third time. The service was better and technicians there seemed knowledgeable. The guy explained to me the possible problems, corrected them and did a test drive afterward. My car finally performed the way it should be. read more

Very disappointed with their service. My dad had gone to a different firestone previously and they had let him know that he needed his tires checked after going in for an inspection. He wanted a second opinion and so when he came to this firestone they told him that he needed his brakes fixed as well. They already charged him for the inspection so my dad went to our regular mechanic to get the tires and brakes fixed and our mechanic told us that his brakes were fine but he had to change them anyways to pass the inspection. When my dad went back the service was even worse and they were taking forever to re-evaluate his car. Didn't feel like they were honest and their service was crap and they had nothing to say to my dad after he complained. I usually don't leave reviews but this was just horrible. I've always taken my car to Firestone and had great experiences, so was seriously disappointed with this one. Took my car in for an oil change and waited for it, took nearly 3 hours just for that and a basic vehicle inspection. After the inspection the girl behind the counter gave me a whole list (nearly $800 worth) of things wrong with my car. I asked for what was the most critical and if I could make an appointment for another day to get it fixed as I couldn't wait that day. She promptly printed everything off and said she'd get a tech right on it and did I want to wait while they fixed it. I told her no, I didn't want to do it that day and I wanted an appointment. She just stared blankly at me. After asking several times for an appointment time, I finally asked if she just wanted me to bring the car back whenever. Her response was 'yeah, morning is fine, it's slower.' So I came back the next morning to get just the critical stuff fixed. The girl from the day before was not there, but the man there tried to again get me to get everything quoted the day before fixed. I again said no, so about ten minutes later he told me I should get a whole tune-up done in addition even though I was 10,000 miles too early for it because it would 'save me $30'. The tune-up he quoted me was an additional $200. I again told him just fix the critical stuff, nothing else. So after I left he called and said I should get my tires changed and did I want to get THAT done. I once more told them only fix what was originally agreed upon! They were supposed to call me when my car was finished, finally after they had my car for nearly 8 hours I called back to be told 'yeah, it's been fixed, come and get it'. They just don't listen well here...and I did not appreciate trying to be repeatedly sold expensive things I didn't need, after repeatedly telling them I didn't want any of that. That, and to top it off, the squeal they were supposed to fix is still there, and my alignment pulls worse then before I took the car in. So I'm out $400 and two days of frustration...and my car's still not fixed....I won't be bringing it back here though. read more

So Mrs. C says "I have a strange light on my dashboard." Run over to take a look, and what do ya know, the sensor is correct. One of the tires is clearly low on air. We go to a gas station to give it some air, and boom, there it is. I can see the head of a screw jammed into the tread. And dang it, the next day is 4th of July. Are there any tires stores even open? I take a chance on this place because it's local. Not even a review on Yelp. Eek. Describe what's going on, and drop off the car with Danny. Two hours later, Danny gives me a call that the car is ready. I waited a few days to write this review to see if the repairs would stick. Well it's now 4 days later, and the patch on the tire seems to work just great. I was charged a very reasonable $16 for a tire patch, and gave Danny a thank-you tip for being open on a holiday. A pretty reasonable price on a tire repair, and they did a good job. Thanks Danny! read more

So this is an odd review.... I've been going to this Firestone location now for years and they've always done right by me... standard stuff you know? Oil changes, tire roations, brand new tire set, brakes etc.... they've been great and we built a good relationship. but a few months ago i started having issues with my engine turning over. Immediatly I thought to take it to Firestone and left it with them for the day, and grabbed a rental. They couldnt seem to find my problem... so I allowed them to keep the car for the entire weekend. Mind you... the WHOLE weekend, including all of Monday since i work. They never did find the issue, stated they "ran a diagnostic" on everything I asked (from ignition to cables and everything in between, specificially mentioning the starter motor and alternator) thinking that they would remove the items and actually look at them... i guess i'm old school and "diagnostic" to me doesnt mean a computer, it means hands. So... the issue persists and i'm now blaming myself since the mechanics couldnt seem to find the issue... maybe its me... maybe its something about what i'm doing... maybe i need a new key... maybe i need a new car... Cut to about two weeks ago, running late for a meeting at work, dressed up, WORST possible time for me to have any issues and my car won't start. Nada. Zip. Nothing. DAMMIT. So I call the tow and Firestone and I let them know I wasnt happy. The tow driver confirmed that the car wouldnt start and towed me over and Firestone STILL couldnt find the issue... so why four stars? Here's why. A wise businessman once said (i think it was Ford but i forget) "no one ever lost a customer due to bad service". Here is where Firestone EXCELLED. Knowing I was upset, knowing that I had had it, knowing I was at the end of my patience.... at my request, Firestone had one of their mechanics take my car to the Toyota dealership about 8 blocks away. And had their mechanic talk to Toyota to explain what had been done. No charge to me, no hassles and no excuses. Now... Toyota determined the issue was the starter and it was replaced and now all seems to be well. Will I use Firestone again? Had it not been for their stellar service, their willingness to take accountabilty and their quick response to take my car elsewhere, I would say no. But you can't beat good service, even when the product may fail on occasion. So YES. Firestone and I will continue to have a long relationship, because they came THROUGH where it counts. Service. I came here for an oil change for a car I just leased brand new three months ago. The repair guys were very nice and quick and got me in and out in half an hour. There was a tv and free coffee and wifi which were quite enjoyable. Problem was...they charged me $90 (including tax) for an oil change because they used premium full synthetic oil and they also gave me a new oil filter. Being a new driver, a girl with no interest in cars, and not wanting to make a false accusation and sound cheap, I went along with it. Sure, in San Diego, I could get a oil change at only $20 but LA is differently priced right? RIGHT?? It wasn't until I got home and asked my parents that I realized I got gyped and gyped good. It was my own fault for not doing research ahead of time but damn, show a little mercy to me please! Somehow I don't think I'll take them up on the lifetime alignment and lifetime wheel balancing they insisted I needed in the next month or so. I can easily say this place has the best customer service I've received at a tire place. And I've had some great experiences but as a Lyft driver we face the added obstacle of needing the staff to talk to a fleet partner but it was painless here. Coming off a lone bad experience not too far down the street I had low expectations and was ready to deal with grief being that they just 15 min shy of closing but not only did no one look at their watch or mention they were about to close Art and his teammate made it a simple & smooth process. He not only dealt with the fleet rep he also caught that I actually needed two tires and fired off every number the guy asked for including tread wear Art for two tires approved for replacement and the work was done incredibly fast. In n out in about 30 and that was because the rep was slowing them down. Excellent Service by Art & his technician if Art isn't a Mgr he should be & that's putting it lightly. I've been taking my car to Pep Boys this entire time. How have I never heard of this place!? The oil changes are done VERY quickly. Pep Boys likes to take their sweet time, or maybe they're understaffed. Whatever the reason is, I don't really care. I just don't like waiting 3 hours for an oil change. Firestone finished my oil change in less than an hour, and the team there is super friendly and helpful. Also, does it hurt that there's a McDonald's next door? NAH! read more

Needing a wheel alignment, I was able to call in and quickly make an appointment for a couple hours later. Being my first time taking my car in for this particular service, it was a quick and easy process to get checked in, with the alignment quoted at taking a hour. I decided to just wait it out, and Firestone makes it an comfortable experience with a free WiFi, refreshments, and a spacious waiting area. They surprised me by finishing my car in about half an hour, and they didn't try too hard to up-sell any unnecessary maintenance services, which was appreciated. I would definitely bring my car back to this location, and would recommend making an appointment before coming in. read more

Yea, Yea... I know what you all think...up-sell and rip off... well, I have had the up-sell at this Firestone too, but they have always shown me the reason why. They show me the parts that are jacked up and need to be replaced. They don't just call and say "Hey you need X-Y-Z..." They always show me. There was one time though when this girl (I don't rememebr her name) But she was Arminian or something... she was rude and nasty. But I think she's gone cuz I haven't seen her in a long time. Today were treated with great respect and understanding. We went in for tires but also needed brakes, badly. We got a fantastic deal for doing the work there and we were out within the estimated time frame we were given. My coworker and I were on our way back from San Diego, and headed to Modesto with 6+ hr drive still ahead of us in the LA traffic. Unfortunately, we got a screw in our tire (with air constantly leaking) and didn't have a spare. We called This business and spoke with Art the manager, and explained our situation. Although they were due to close before we were able to get there, Art went far beyond and stayed open for us. Within 10 minutes of arriving, Art and his crew was able to swap out tires and send us back on our way. I sincerely hope the big bosses of Firestone take notice of this review, and give Art a huge bonus. read more

I took my vehicle here for alignment one weekend because I bought the lifetime wheel alignment deal they had. The people behind the desk were friendly and nice. But the techs do a terrible job. The following week, my steering wasn't tracking right. I was going straight, yet, my wheel was turned to the left. So I had to take it somewhere else. This is probably the worst Firestone that I have ever been to. After hitting the curb and getting a flat tire I came here. I spoke to the person behind the counter. He took look at my car and said that I definitely needed a new tire because there was this huge cut. I also requested a wheel alignment because after I hit the curb my steering wheel was way off. I was there for about 2 1/2 hours. After, the tire was put on but here comes the confusing part. The person said that something was broken but he didn't know what it was. He said that I needed to go to a body shop to get it repair. I asked him "what is broken?" he said "I don't know but something is broken?" I am like wow. I am thinking to myself "what is a body shop going to do?" Then he showed me the results and said that because of that, they weren't able to do a wheel alignment. They didn't even test drove my car because I never saw it go out it was inside the shop the entire time. So I left and I drove it to see if something was broken but I didn't find any loose parts or heard any strange noises. I previously made an appointment at the Honda dealership to get an oil change. The following day, I went to the dealership and I told them about my situation. They said that they will check all of the suspension parts, they will test drive the car, and will check/do the wheel alignment. About an hour later, the dealership calls me and says that there was nothing broken but the alignment was off and guess what, they were able to do the wheel alignment properly. The dealership also said that it looked like they didn't try to do the wheel alignment. I was furious with Firestone because they put me through a lot of crap and basically told me lies. Next time that I have an emergency, I will only go to my local Firestone which is one block away. It doesn't how far I am. read more

If their choice in hiring employees is any indication of the quality of service they provide, I would not trust this place. I wonder if that was a customers' vehicle he was driving. Well, I got my brakes fixed there about a year ago, and when they finished, my brakes made noise for about a week or two and I went back and they told me it was normal. It's been a year and you can STILL hear my car coming down the street because of the loud, annoying squeak caused by my brakes. That isn't normal. There is nothing worse than walking to the car to go to work and finding out that your battery is stone cold dead. After a sweaty, greasy twenty minutes I pushed my car into position for a jump. After getting a jump I called 2 separate auto shops in Alhambra is see if they could replace my battery. Both of them couldn't get me in until noon (it was 8:45). I then called Firestone and spoke with Frank. Frank is amazing. Not only was he friendly but he could get me in right then and there. 4 minutes later I drove up to Firestone and he was outside. Frank waved me in to a parking spot and instantly put me at ease. Frank had already pulled the battery for my make and model and then personally replaced my battery as all his employees were working on other vehicles. I truly appreciate the professionalism, speed and excellent customer service exhibited by this great shop. Highly recommend bringing you car woes here as Frank is amazing and doesn't make you feel like an idiot if you don't know squat about cars (like me) read more

I don't leave in the neighborhood anymore but I don't mind driving the extra mile (pun intended). They do their best to make sure you get the best prices.
