I have a very old Brickwell pellet stove. It was overheating and the blower was shutting down. Over the phone the owner said he would bring a new blower (fan). When he arrived, he fiddled with some wires and the fan turned on. But, the owner lacked the expertise to diagnose the fact that when the stove got hot it would overheat and the fan would shut down. (I already told him it did this). So, I had to hire a different company, which fixed the issue. So, the money I paid Fireplaces Plus was completely wasted. I cannot recommend them. read more

Fireplaces plus was quick to fix my problem, and I have zero complaints. I was very happy to see the technician came with shoe booties on a rainy day to prevent any mud being tracked in. The Technician was friendly and knowledgeable and not only fixed the issue of my gas fireplace not working, but he did a great job just cleaning the unit itself, vacuuming out cobwebs, and cleaning the glass window before finishing up. Fireplace Plus was excellent. My twenty-year-old gas fireplace was not staying on and has been temperamental for the last few years. The technician arrived on time and evaluated the problem. He decided that I needed a new value and should also get a new pilot. Since the repairs in the previous two years had limited success, I agreed, and he arranged to come back in ten days. He did the relatively expensive rebuild of the fireplace, which worked well for a couple of weeks when, again, the fireplace would turn off erratically. I called and spoke with Art. Our on/off switch was very unreliable and the fan was so noisy we couldn't talk or watch TV in the living room. Finally found a gas fireplace service near us. ROBBED and LIED to.. I'm very disappointed with Art. I'm an owner and have rental units I've set up an appointment with Art about August 15. 2018. I scheduled an appointment 17 days out. when he shows up Sept 3 or so he tells me over the phone he needs to order parts and will take about 3 weeks before the parts arrive. ugh but what else can we do. i approve the ordering of parts. paid him 175.00 for service call still have not received an invoice for services. about 2 weeks later September 22, 2018 i call Art leave a message he calls back about 3 days later and makes up some excuse about not feeling comfortable with my renters and will not be able to work on my heater. REALLY after working with him for a couple months waiting for him only to tell me that he is not going to work on it. What about the 175.00 dollars and time i spent with him... The whole reason i went within was because everyone else had a 1 to 2 moth waiting time due to being busy. ART you suck you stole my $175.00 the service you provided did nothing but confirm the heater needs work. Exceptionally good service. I called and left a message, and got a call back the same day from Art. I had several issues with two gas fireplaces in our recently purchased house. I scheduled an appointment for Art to come out, and followed up with a confirmation call the day before, and Art returned my call to confirm. The following morning Art called to let me know he could come out earlier if I wanted, and I said "you betcha", and he showed up almost immediately with his helper Willem. They spread out a drop sheet and booties to protect our wood floors, and went right to work, checking off all the items from my to-do list. Totally professional, courteous, communicative, responsive, and quick.
