Really good diner. Just off 81 south of Syracuse. It's on the Onondaga nation and there were quite a few native Americans working, not sure if it's native owned but I'm guessing yes. Everyone was super friendly and the service was great. Lots of counter space to eat at which I love. It was busy, even at 10AM but service was quick. Menu is typical diner fare. I got the breakfast meat lovers scramble and the biscuits and gravy. The breakfast scramble was good but the biscuits and gravy were great- highly recommend! The coffee was also surprisingly good.

interesting. The dining room has an old fashioned rustic look, but the kitchen looks modern.

Great food, good service, good prices and specials Seniors discounts Cash only but there's and ATM (probably charges a fee) But you're really should've figured out that It's almost necessary to carry cash around these days- im seeing more and more businesses either have a surcharge or don't take credit/debit cards at all. There is no tax because it is on the reservation

A lovely inviting space. Plenty of seating and a counter too.

Everything from Firekeepers is delicious. All homemade. The service is excellent and friendly. Dinner came fast. It's really nice inside, rustic diner atmosphere, with lots of tables and counter service. They are renovating the front, so drive around the back and use those doors. There was a board with daily specials that looked great too. Chicken with biscuits. Chicken salad. Homemade soup. I had the turkey dinner. This tastes like you remember. Homemade gravy, stuffing, potatoes, real carved Turkey. It was awesome. This is a wonderful diner with breakfast, lunch and dinner from 7 am until 7 pm just off Rt 81 on the Onondaga Nation. Please support this wonderful restaurant if you are in the area. Cash only. They have an ATM.

One of the 315 rocks I found today at Firekeeper's Restaurant.

Stopped here on the way to the strawberry festival. Got steak and eggs breakfast for $12. Perfectly cooked medium rare, great steak, substituted grits for the home fries, they were cooked perfectly as well. Eggs over easy were just a smidge runny but it didn't bother me. All in all, it was THE best breakfast / brunch, whatever you wanna call it, I've had in... Well, I can't even remember how long it was that good! Service was pretty good, my wife got a little irritated when the waitress took a little long to get our boxes but I didn't think much of it. Love the ambience, whenever we come here I always find these 315 rocks with these awesome inspirational sayings on them. They always end up being really deep, profound messages that really, truly speak to my life experience. The one I found today really touched me. So, yeah, definitely one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Syracuse. Whether you live here or are just visiting. Do yourself a favor check it out. I literally downloaded yelp just to write this review.

    Frittata with Italian Toast

This place is always amazing! The restaurant burnt down years ago so they rebuilt it as a log cabin, the interior walls are beautiful. Everything is very clean and everyone that works there is friendly and hospitable. Every meal I've had there is delicious! During this visit, I had the Frittata and it's so simple but done so well. Coffee is good and they offer plenty of refills. Would recommend for breakfast or lunch!

Firekeepers has such a warm & cozy vibe to it. I honestly felt like I was amongst family while dining here. The staff were super friendly & attentive. The restaurant is very clean, open & bright. This is a seat yourself establishment. Within 2 minutes of seating ourselves, someone was over with menus, and to take our drink order, this level of service continued throughout our meal. The food is very tasty and extremely affordable! Not a single item on the menu was priced over $15. How amazing is that?!?! I am looking forward to returning to try out their hot turkey sandwich and mac & cheese. As I was leaving, another customer strongly encouraged me to come back for those menu items, so I will definitely do so.

    Chocolate cream pie

I've been here many times but always lose out on the pie! I heard it's homemade locally and every time I try to get a slice they are all out. Today was my lucky day!!! They had chocolate cream, coconut cream, apple and blueberry. I choose chocolate cream and it was just perfect. I also had a bowl of New England clam chowder but the pie was the star!! Service was excellent as usual. Very clean place. Note that they only accept cash.

    Hot turkey sandwich

I've been craving a hot turkey sandwich and found out they serve the real deal here. Seat yourself, so I did and almost immediately I had someone come over for my drink order. Then my server came with a menu. Everyone was extremely friendly and the restaurant is so clean. The specials were up on the wall, Fish Dinner - Fish Sandwich - Macaroni and cheese - New England clam chowder. I had to have the hot turkey! A very nice serving of real carved turkey on bread, home-made mashed potatoes, a small side of cranberry sauce and plenty of gravy. Everything was delicious and I can't wait to come back and try something else.

I sat at the counter and my server was great... very friendly and happy I was there. I got there around 7:30AM and it was basically dead, but by the time I left, there was a steady line of folks coming in. Their menu has all the typicals that these places have, many things I enjoy. I tried their corned beef hash (which I requested well-done with jalapeños added), scrambled eggs with cheese, and I also got a side of their breakfast potatoes with sausage gravy on top. The food came out quickly and was piping hot & freshly made. The quantity of potatoes for a single side dish were HUGE! Definitely enough to share. The scrambled eggs were PERFECTLY made! I'm an egg snob, I never want any over-cooked egg visible (no brown) and these were perfectly colored and tasted great. The corned beef hash was good as well. Overall, I enjoyed this visit and I would most definitely return!

I got the sausage gravy over home fries for the first time and I have never had anything like it - it was warm and salty and had a nice crunch with the cooked home fries. There were a lot of people but the noise level was great and everyone seemed to be having a yummy and amazing time.

Menu is filled with options which made it hard to pick what to order which is an awesome "problem" to have, we all ordered breakfast and were not disappointed! I decided on the pancake/french toast flight and picked three flavors. I chose Cannoli French Toast, Reese's Pieces pancakes, and the loaded pancakes for a savory item. Cannoli was my favorite but they were all good, loaded even has an egg on top however you like it!Portion size is huge and everything tasted great!!!! They had a good challenge listed on the menu but none of us were up to the challenge! Service is amazing, and they even have a waitress warming up coffee, which I highly appreciate at places. The diner is busy but it was not too loud to hear your party and everything ran so smooth. All the servers were nice and seemed happy to work there! Menu price was shown using your card, they had a cash discount available if using cash which is a nice option! I wish I took pictures or everyone else's food but didn't. The drink options seemed amazing with make your own flights or their specials. The next time I am in the Syracuse area I will be going here to try more! Don't be afraid of the busy parking lot or wait time, it's worth it!! Also reading about the name and reason for this diner made me feel all the feels for the owners recovery, how can you NOT support a place like this??!! Hours are from 7-1 most days I love love love the ambiance of this little cafe. They always have some relaxing music playing and the interior design feels so groovy! I'm a big fan of Recess coffee, this cafe uses the same coffee so they're winning in my book already. Plenty of flavor choices to choose from with a pretty extensive breakfast/lunch menu as well. Today I got an iced latte with marshmallow. Their marshmallow flavoring is closer to a toasted marshmallow and I think it compliments the espresso well. I usually get a bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant. But today went out of my typical order and got their special Breakfast tacos! And I loveddd them! The pancakes were soft, I enjoyed the mix of sausage bits and pepperoni bits, the eggs were scrambled. I hope they keep them on the menu for a while longer so I can get them again If you've got a few extra dollars, I suggest trying them out!

They also own Chelsea's Restaurant & Bar located across the parking lot from E.A.T., at the corner of Velasko Road. This 1,600-square-foot café is a cross between their full-size diner and the coffee shop. A counter stretches the length of the front windows with tall stools and plenty of charging stations for electronics. The dining room also has eight tables that each seat four customers. My wife and I met some friends at E.A.T. for the first time recently. It's a nicely decorated cafe, plenty of parking lot spaces available. We were able to easily get a table for 5. We all placed our orders, which were brought quickly. I ordered the chicken & waffles special, while my wife ordered the country biscuit dish. The chicken & waffles was said to have a hot honey maple syrup, but there was no heat to the syrup at all. The chicken was chicken tenders, which was fine, but they did not have a very good texture - they were somewhat rubbery and full of tendon. My wife enjoyed her biscuits, but her, and the rest of the table, agreed that their home fries were undercooked and grainy. We also tried their Lucky Charms special latte, which was good. Prices were decent, employees were mostly friendly. Not sure it's a place we would go out of our way to give another try.

This was the best diner breakfast I've had in a very long time. I'll get my one grouse, not a complaint, out of the way first. The rye bread didn't have seeds. But... The coffee was fresh ground. The pot emptied so fast it was always fresh brewed. I'm a weird coffee person, and that was the best cup out of a Bunn maker I've ever had. The scrambled eggs were properly cracked from the shell, not from a bucket. The sausage patty was made with a mild breakfast sausage, hand formed from loose sausage. Home fries were cooked on the grill with enough peppers and onions to qualify as a serving of vegetables. (My wife approved.) If that is not old school enough for you, the rye toast was grilled, not toasted. Service was great, and the coffee cup never was empty. The parking lot in back is small, so if you have a large vehicle do yourself a favor and park across the street. We went on a Sunday morning. The place was full, but tables turned over quickly enough that we didn't wait. One nice touch, the bowls for creamers and jam were Syracuse China. You have to love a diner that is home town proud. And the breakfast is so good it is worth the few minutes drive off the highway.
