Our subs were very high quality. The staff were very friendly, very pleased by the service. The energy inside was good and very clean.

Love the Firehouse Subs franchise as a whole. Not so much this location. Ordered an Engineer Sub, which was amazing. However, the cashier never asked me about rewards, and I tried submitting through the app afterward with my receipt, but I got an error several times. So just spent over $30 and no rewards points to show. Most frustrating thing was no pickles were in mine or my wife's meals. We don't open the sandwich and check everything on the spot for a to-go order. Nor do most people. We took our order from the desk and went home. When we opened the sandwiches, no pickles were there. That's one of the best parts. Disappointed in the service here. Great restaurant and food though. read more

New to celiac disease it was recommended I come here and I'm so glade I did! As soon as they took my order they called it out to the kitchen and they went to work. Wiping surfaces down, changing, gloves, etc. it was such an unexpected gesture and I was able to have a sub! read more

I ordered food from this location. It auto corrected to the wrong address and then on the way to my address. I called them so they could fix it. They said oh you have to go through the app the app refuse to work then they delivered the food. the courier refused to contact me And now they're refusing to refund me even though I paid for food, never got the food because of their incompetence and then they hanged up on me whenever I'd call. used to be a big fan of firehouse now I will probably never go over there again. I ordered the medium Spicy Cajun Chicken on white bread, no onions and garlic bread as a side. Everything tasted delicious and fresh. The spice level was as expected, which doesn't seem to be common. The only thing that could have made it 5 stars is the sandwich and garlic bread being toasted. The garlic bread did have slightly toasted edges, but I think it could have been toasted a quite a bit more. Overall, best sandwich I've ordered from Firehouse. Highly recommend. read more

While the service was good, the food was not. I ordered a small sub on wheat bread. There was too much mayo on it and barely any vegetables. It tasted all right but the bread was tough and I could barely bite through it. It also was not what I would call an actual sub sandwich being maybe 4 inches long. It's a small meal. Enough for a child. And expensive too. $6.89 for it. No wonder there was not anyone else there. read more

Service was slow but we are used to that. Ordered the brisket sandwich and when we got home to eat them we found more fat and grissel than lean meat - totally in-edible excuse for 2 - $24 sandwiches. BBQ sauce was thin and watery. I called to complain and was given to the "manager" and told him about their lack quality and that we wanted a refund and he said he would have to talk to his "manager" (a typical don't give-a-damn corporate owned chain store) - I told this "manager" I would post my complaint on their website. I would never eat at this place again. Buyer beware! Old "C" rations would have been much better! Run away and do not look back! read more

I love how this place has a limited menu, not too much to ponder. Perfect for me or I'd be all over the place. I've been doing online Firehouse take out for a month now, and Firehouse has been absolutely wonderful in having my order ready to go pick up since I paid online. I ordered the Italian sub and Hook and Ladder. Their subs are delicious. The misusing of ONE star is because the chips that were ordered along with the meal were NOT in the bag. So my husband and I had our sandwiches and drink with NO chips!!! Oh! So disappointing!! That's like having a burger with no fries. Pure anguish. Anyhow, I returned not only to get the chips, but to let them know that there were No chips in the bag. The lady said that we are suppose to pick them out ourselves. Huh?? Typically LOVE going to Firehouse, however after Sunday night, not sure I am likely to return, at least to this location.  Employees didn't have masks on.  We rec'd our sandwiches and was told the mac n cheese would take a few minutes...no problem. As we were waiting for the rest of our order a family came in with 2 very small children that seemed to know one of the employees.  They were all talking extremely loud, carrying on, eating chips at the counter, the kids were running around all over the place, behind the counter, back into the kitchen, sitting on the counters, etc.  We waited about 10 minutes for the rest of our order, I finally asked about it and she said oh crap, I forgot (she was clearly too distracted making food for her visitors and talking).  I grabbed it to go and we left.  All of this going on while we are in the middle of COVID.  Called firehouse to report and was told it would be relayed to the owner and I would receive a call back...nothing.  Very unpleasant experience. read more

I'm in from out of town and love your subs so I ordered for delivery. The delivery time was almost nothing which was great and now I know why. I ordered one of the New Yorker steamers, a side of macaroni and cheese and garlic bread. The macaroni and cheese that I got was cold and not just like a little chilly from the pick up to the delivery point it was cold as if they had pulled it out of the refrigerator cold so I didn't even eat that. The garlic bread was ok. It wasn't the greatest but it was ok. The sub was the worst I have ever seen, the bread was soggy and nasty couldn't even eat it. I had to throw an $18 sub in the trash because it was so gross. The meat and cheese was just thrown on there. It was not even appetizing. The meat was cold and chewy. There was so much mayonnaise on it that it was almost like they were trying to drowned out the nastiness by the amount of mayonnaise they had put on there. There was no mustard. And how do you eat macaroni and cheese without a fork? They didn't put any utensils inside the bag and it was a delivery order to a hotel. When I was online ordering, you couldn't even add like vegetables or anything to it like you could if you go in. This was a very bad experience what happened to even caring a little bit about your job because if these employees even cared just a little bit, it would not have come looking like the way it did nor tasting the way it did. The last time I ate here was shortly after it opened. Boy, does time change things. I ordered online and when I went to pick up the order they hadn't even started the order yet. First impressions weren't positive. The store did not appear clean, especially behind the counter. The two people working were not very friendly either. I ordered a meatball sub and even after having to wait the sandwich wasn't hot. The bread was dry. It was a disappointing experience. Our company had a great experience with this location! In the past we had a couple not-so-good experiences with a different location leading me to be a bit reluctant on using Firehouse Subs again. However, after speaking with manager, Don Lewis I must say this location provided us an exceptional experience. Very pleased with our meal, the price & the communication Don provided. Monday on February 27, approximately 12:30 I stop by Firehouse Subs at 7030 S. Lewis Ave. Upon entering there were 3 people 2 men and a lady busy. I noticed 3 maybe 4 people waiting in lobby the rest of the customers were dinning. As I mentioned once I entered I waited patiently over 5 minutes if not longer where no one said BOO! Hello or I will be with you shortly. I saw that everyone was busy however you don't need to literally stop to acknowledge a customer that is waiting to order. If I had waited any longer my lunch break would have been wasted there waiting just to order. I chose to patronize this location because I have always gotten great customer service in the past. My money will spend easily somewhere else as it would there. I choose more wisely going forward and not stop at Firehouse Subs. Where they are too busy to greet or take a customers order. read more

I'm sitting here with half a sub still on the table in front of my uneaten. "What??" you ask, "FIVE stars but you didn't even eat the whole thing??" That's right. Five stars and I didn't even eat the whole thing -- because it was so good I had to stop everything I was doing to write THIS REVIEW. Flashback 30 minutes previously. Just finished up a long day at work headed in for some meatballs and im gonna order something spicy. Large size, wheat bread, add peperoncini, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and... Lettuce?? Yep, lettuce on meatballs, I'm a weirdo. Now we get to the real hero of the story; the guy behind the counter who at first didn't even think he could make the sub with lettuce. But boy did he. This is, the best, meatball sub I've had in a minute. I don't want to exaggerate, but if subs were art this one would be Piet Mondrian's Composition II in Red, Blue, and Yellow. It's going to be a shame to eat the second half, because it's so beautiful you could've hung it up on the wall. So hats off to you, firehouse sub employee with the name I can't remember. I ordered a medium turkey bacon ranch sandwich with no onions add jalapeños and they put meat only on 1/2 of the sandwich and then I tried calling the store five times and no one answered and then whenever I drove back after driving 15 minutes to my house they told me they were completely out of turkey and that the sandwich I had brought back looked like it had the 4 ounces of meat on it even though it was only on 1/2 of the sandwich the other half had a singular bite of meat a singular bite of bacon and some tomato that was it. I don't get the ravid fandom of this chain. Supposedly the meat quality is better, but I really couldn't tell. The combo of steaming and/or toasting the bread doesn't work out. While my sub came with plenty of meat and toppings, the bread was just kind of rubbery and spongy. I went in 9/3/21 and the girl who took our order was already giving other employees an attitude for no reason. Then we ordered 2 sandwiches and both sandwiches were wrong. We drove all the way home and called and the girl on the phone had such an attitude with us. We decided her nasty energy wasn't even worth driving back and dealing with it so we decided to just eat the sandwhiches. One sandwich had a piece of paper or something inside of it and the other one made me sick. Never returning to this location because they were very unprofessional and did not make the sandwiches right at all or handle it right at all. Seems like a lot of the reviews lately for this location are very bad. Maybe firing all your rude employees and training new ones is a good idea. Fresh subs. They load them with meat unlike subway. Their catering sandwiches are pretty standard fare. In the building though they can't be beat. They have a ton of different hot sauces to choose from which is neat. I'm not a hot sauce person but their standard stuff they have at the table is a very nice addition to any of their sandwiches. Not hot, just flavor. Chips are basic fritolay selection. Doritos, funyuns, cheetos, ruffles etc. Cookies are decent. They also have the Coke Freestyle machine, if that is a factor for you, as well as tea and fresh lemons and limes. Extras: They have cheesy plastic fire hats for the kids which is fun, and a frequent guest card where you can earn a free lunch. Restrooms are always really clean, which is great.
