First time here and the experience has been so good that I feel like I have to write a review! The woman at the front (I think she may be the owner?) greets every single customer as soon as they walk in. When I got to the front she asked if I had been here before and since I hadn't she explained to me how everything worked! I noticed with anyone who said they had been here before, she always would welcome them back! Great customer service, which since I work in retail, I always pay attention to! Anyone who was doing a to go order she offered a water cup to them while they wait which is going above and beyond and really awesome! I ordered the turkey bacon ranch sandwich and it was soooooo good! Was cooked to perfection and tasted really fresh. They also were very speedy with my order! Went here with my family on Saturday and was warmly greeted by Tom, not sure if he was the general manager, but he was awesome and working so hard. We ordered the Italian and steak sandwiches. They were great, but wished there was more meat on them for the price. The bread was excellent! We also loved the drink dispenser which has 120 combinations of drinks available! Firehouse subs is a great place to eat. I always get the Brisket sandwich and it never disappoints! They have lots of hot and cold sandwich options and always have good, quick service. I would definitely recommend this as a place to get a good sandwich. read more

I realize that this place is new and we should give it some leniency but I've been waiting a while for this place to open and it did not deliver. Hair in the food, slow service, and the person bringing out the food was also cleaning at the same time with her hands. We waited 15 mins in a pretty dead period for our sandwiches and to have them cold and with hair inside was pretty frustrating. We wont be going back for at least a little while. Even subway is a better option than this overpriced place. read more

Honestly, not sure why the rating is so high for this place. Mediocre sandwiches at best. I ordered two sandwiches online and they managed to mess both of them up. Forgot the avocado on both which I paid extra for. I got the turkey club which the turkey is smoked and so is the bacon so the whole thing just tastes like one flavor. I asked for everything except tomato and they forgot to put everything on there, except tomato. Will probably never return. read more

Absolutely awful. I ordered the Capt. Sorensen's Datil Pepper Grilled Chicken to go, intending to eat this in my office cube. I was asked if the suggested condiments were acceptable (OK) and if the "Datil Sauce" (described as ketchup with a kick) was acceptable (OK). Everyone was very nice. Got the sandwich, went back to my cube. When I opened the wrapper, a flood of sauce appeared. It slathered the entire circumference, soaking the top and bottom buns, dripping onto my desk and making a colossal MESS! I had to use a fork and knife to pick it up and put it on a paper plate, and the whole thing was so slippery, I had to throw the top bun out entirely. Now, I'm off my appetite, but I'm hungry, so I start to eat and, as Gertrude Stein said of Oakland, there was no "there" there. Almost tasteless. I guess Firehouse put out my fire, huh? read more

Very disappointing and WAY overpriced. The sandwiches are very small with very little meat inside for what they charge. I was still hungry afterward. A medium sandwich that is about the size of a mini at Jersey Mikes, with chips and a drink was $11. The famed soda machine is a single serve and only the one machine for all the diners. For the price and what you receive, I would definitely choose Jersey Mikes or even Subway as others have stated. I will not be going back. read more

Very well priced food that tastes awesome (New York Steamer). The service was quick and I had no problems giving my .15 cents change to a fireman's fund. I like the atmosphere. Haven't seen any actual firemen eating there yet, but they just opened. There's still time. read more

I found this place pretty good. Strange how off-menu some quite normal sandwhiches appear to be, though. Just be prepared to walk up and describe a sandwhich from scratch to them. You will likely appreciate the result. read more

I love this place. It isn't too close to my house so I don't get here often enough, but when I do, they make my son feel like a king... literally the customer service is amazing. They let him feel like a big boy and the manager came out from behind the counter, took him to get his drink and lifted him up to fill it. She then gave him a fireman hat and he just LOVED it. Ridiculously good! The entire staff is so sweet and accommodating to special orders too! They burn my bacon, just the way I like it! All of their sandwiches are high quality ingredients and they put a ton of meat and cheese on each one and melt it, unlike Subway and other sandwich places where you most get a lot of bread and lettuce! read more

Went here yesterday and what a dissapointment it was. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich. The service was quick and professional. But the sandwich was horrific. First the bread which was wheat was way over dense/thick not light and airy. The chicken salad had no seasoning and way to much celery. So, when you took a bite all that could be tasted was the thick wheat bread and celery. No other flavors at all - it was a wheat bread and celery sandwich! I was going to buy a cookie or a chocolate brownie, but the cookie was hard as rock and the brownie could have been used to break a car window. I gave two stars because hopefully their other sandwiches are better. But to screw up something so simple as chicken salad, well I am not going to find out about their other sandwiches. I will just drive right by on may way to Green Acres Market in Simi Valley for my sandwiches. Yet another example of the power of advertising. read more

This was my first time visiting and I have never met such nice people. They were very welcoming and kind. I didn't know what I wanted and they proceeded to explain to me how the menu works. As a result of them helping me out immensely, I had the best sandwich in my entire life, I'm telling you, I was going in there starving and cranky and immediately became a ray of sunshine because of them.
