I went to Royal Bagel Deli on a Sunday about 6 weeks ago because John's was closed. The couple who I assume are the owners are so very sweet. I ordered an onion bagel and it was just OK. In fact, it was pretty bland. I never thought I'd say that about an onion bagel but it lacked flavor and left me longing for some sort of taste. I could be wrong but don't thing the bagels are made in-house. The inside of the bagel deli had an old feel. You could tell they'd been there for a while because it looked as if the original decor and appliances were still being used. They're also still practicing social distancing, with a table in front of the register and the other tables pushed to the perimeter of the room without any chairs. A quick but poor experience. The street facing side of the building made me question if it was even open whenever i would pass by. There is white cardboard maybe in all the street facing windows. Despite the open sign being on i never quite believed it. Went in late morning and the display case was mostly empty. Somewhat expected for the time of day. The bagels all looked small and over cooked. The plain bagels all had tiny bubbles all over the top. I decided to get 2 plain and 1 cheese/onion/poppyseed. Just to give this place a chance anyway. The total for 3 tiny bagels was almost $6! Absurd! When I went to cut one in half the knife slipped off the hard overcooked exterior and almost cut me. Never gonna go to this place again. read more

I am kind of stunned by the good reviews. I have this 2 stars because the employee on duty was polite and the breakfast sandwich was fine. A perfectly adequate bagel with egg and sausage. It was fast food quality. They had very few bagels in their display case. Which is odd for a bagel shop. It definitely wasn't because they sold out. This place looks like a business that has given up. Their street facing window is covered with white cardboard instead of signage. It has a 70s coffee shop look but not in an intentional retro way. If I lived next door I might eat here again but I would definitely not go to the trouble of starting my car to drive here. read more

The wife and son wanted a bagel breakfast sandwich, do I thought this was the perfect time to pop in. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and my order was taken quickly. I ordered 3 bagel breakfast sandwiches and 6 bagels. The order was processed quickly and I was out and on my way home with the goodies. I have driven past this location twice a day for the last 3 years and always wondered how it survived. It looks quite divey. The outside signage on the windows is old and needs a huge makeover. When you walk in, you'll see a lot of boxes on the back right side. You'll see a desk on the left side with a huge pile of papers. This overall outside presentation is why I took off a star. This includes your choice of bagels (see my pic of choices) plus fresh slices of Avocado & Tomato along with Egg & Jack Cheese. I chose a blueberry bagel for one and a cheese bagel for the other. Both were epic!! Very delicious!! Plus the owner is very nice. I asked her what her name is and I believe she said "Wing". Wing will help you soar your breakfast to new heights. She is very patient as it took me extra time to figure out which bagels I wanted for my breakfast sandwiches. But once I figured out which ones I wanted, she went right to work with her inner sense of urgency to get them made right away.
