Firehouse Subs is one of my favorite sandwich chains, but as much as I love their sandwiches, I'd rather take the time to talk about an employee at the Sanford location. Her name is Allison and she's awesome. The hubs and I frequent this location approximately once a month. The past couple of times we've been in, Allison has been behind the counter. She's a diligent worker with an amazing personality. I've never seen Allison without a smile on her face. She's always kind and her attitude is always positive. As the hubs and I ate lunch there yesterday, I noted how she treated everyone with respect. She knows her usuals by names, but it doesn't matter if she knows you or not, she treats you like a friend. In this day and age, excellent customer service is becoming a rare commodity, but not with Allison. She is an amazing example of what quality customer service looks like, and I am grateful. She's an asset to your business, and one that will keep us coming back. read more

Subs are a awesome, bread is fresh and soft. There is a variety of subs to choose from. Very flavorful and tasty. Would have given 5 stars but the young lady taking the order acted as if she was being inconvenienced by having to take customers orders. I dined in and she was like that with others that came in. I have visited this firehouse sub on several occasions. I've encountered the same young ladies (wish I knew their names) each time and have been greeted when I walked in, and have received great customer service with each visit. I love Firehouses menu which contains a variety of subs and salads. I've tried their steak and cheese, beef brisket, and today their meatball sub. Every sub has been fantastic. Fresh ingredients and even the salads are good. I wish this establishment could replace all the Subways, which I feel are overrated and poor quality. The restaurant has always been clean and the prices are reasonable. Today I got their meatball sub combo, chips, and drink for about $6.50. The subs measure from small all the way up to a large sub. read more

First time trying firehouse subs. I have to say it was amazing! I tried out the Italian and let me tell you. Something about the sauce just makes it taste so different than the others and so amazing. What a horrible experience! Placed an online order at 1:19, arrived to the store at 1:30 with 1 person ahead of me in line and 4 other people in the lobby waiting for their orders. While waiting, 3 other people came in after me. 2 of those people were for online orders and 1 placed an order. At 1:57 I was the last person left in the lobby still waiting on my order. And then when given my order it was incorrectly made. After asking the lady behind the counter to correctly make my order she became irritated and I no long had patience with them. I then ask her to read me back my order I placed online and she responded "you placed the order so your should know". I then called the corporate complaint line and gave them my information and what happened. Even after receiving my order back, I noticed items from my order were missing but my tolerance for this store was done. I informed the lady I will be anxiously waiting a return call from the owner or corporate and she yelled over the counter to me saying "well we know where you will end up". I left sarcastically thanking her for her customer service. read more

Friendliest staff anywhere! My dad and I come here often, and we split a large sub. The staff know the deal and serve us our one sub on two trays, each with a pickle. When I called in an order for my dad to pick up, they recognized us, and they greeted him with fun banter and a smile. He felt like a VIP. The food is delicious! I only wish they'd bring back some of the variety of hot sauces because what they have now is pretty one dimensional. read more

So I love grilled onions, but absolutely totally can't stand raw ones. Firehouse Subs has decent subs, a huge selection of hot sauces, and this location has great and friendly staff! I got the vegetarian sub, which had a ton of options, including grilled onions, which I got. However, I didn't know that that was going to be the day when I finally eat raw onions since my childhood. Staff is nice, good sandwiches, and sauces. The owner though is a disgusting rude man. I will have to never come back the way he treated me. I wanted to buy a bottle of hot sauce and they didn't have it in stock so I took a little sample of it and asked to hold a bottle to the side for me when they get it in because I have been waiting on it. The owner starts freaking out saying in order to have that sample I have to buy something he doesn't come into my job and get free stuff just being very rude and disrespectful. Have eaten here several times but last night was my very last time. Granted the subs are amazing and the young lady who takes your order is very nice, but the young man who makes your sandwich is a very VERY VERY hatefull and rude person. I was lucky enough to only see him be rude to other customers on previous visits but had the unfortunate result of having his hatefullness turned on my family last night. Went by at 830pm and ordered 3 subs. I live near Carthage and they close at 9pm. 2 of my subs were made incorrectly. I ordered a club and received no bacon on it and my wife ordered a hook and ladder and had mustard on it which I said no 2. I called and spoke with manager and explained to him what happened to my order and he said he would call me back. Never received a call back so 3 days later I call back and he answers and says now he is also the owner and I have to bring food back the day of the order. Well genius how can I do that when you closed at 9 and I didn't get home till after 9pm. I worked the next 2 days 12 hours because Iam a Nurse, so I got the food that I paid for and he told me he wasn't doing anything about it and I could write a complaint. How rude.
