Normally I go straight for brisket or ribs, but they told me they're known for their burnt ends, so I decided to try the burnt ends plate. After I paid and sat down for a bit, they came back and told me they had run out of burnt ends. They offered to substitute another meat and refund the difference. I switched to brisket and told them not to worry about the refund. To their credit, they gave me whatever burnt ends they had left along with the brisket, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the meat itself was disappointing. At first glance, the brisket did not look promising. The slices were very lean with almost no visible fat, no smoke ring, no pink, just gray-brown throughout. The bark was minimal and patchy. It looked dry before I even took a bite, and it ate exactly how it looked. The meat was firm, tight-grained, and lacked moisture. I ended up having to drink water between bites and could only finish about half before taking the rest home. The burnt ends weren't much better. They were dark and sauced on the outside, but they also leaned dry instead of tender and juicy. Not the rich, sticky, melt-in-your-mouth burnt ends I was hoping for. I got baked beans and potato salad for sides. I'm not sure if they make them in-house or if they're premade, but they were decent. Not amazing, not bad. They just didn't make up for the meat. I really wanted to like this place, especially after they recommended the burnt ends so confidently. I appreciate that they tried to make it right when they ran out, and that was good customer service. But at the end of the day, barbecue lives and dies by the meat, and this just didn't deliver.

I looked at the menu (lots of option, cheap) and ordered food. Came out in 3 min, not lying. Everything was spectacula. Food tasted amazing. Perfect blend of flavor and not too much salt or grease like other places have. It was not too busy when I was there, but then the lunch rush came in. I expected things to decline a little, but that did not happen. Things actually exceeded expectations (other than noise, but nothing can fix that). Arguably the best thing here is the service. They were not short-staffed and were on top of everything. Very quick service, very friendly, honestly the best service I have ever seen. They filled your drink the instant it was low. Everything here was top notch. Truly a hidden gem. Go here for an awesome quick eat or a good time. I will definitely be coming back.

We stopped by for Sunday brunch and appreciated the ample seating and relaxed atmosphere. While the…read morebrunch menu was limited, there were still plenty of solid options. We tried the French toast and the eggs plate -- both dishes were fresh and thoughtfully prepared, reminiscent of classic diner fare with a touch more care. The main drawback is the pricing. You'll pay Pinehurst-level prices for what is essentially elevated diner food. A half-glass mimosa runs $9.50 (albeit with quality champagne), and two scrambled eggs with toast and potatoes is $14. The place was very crowded, but we got a nice table in a "far corner" where we had some space in a quiet area. The large array of foods on the menu was amazing, imho. The food was elegantly served and attractively plated; The other lady & I chose the same item: a (3 choice) platter of (all fried) flounder, small shrimp, and oysters served w/round slim donut shaped hush puppies & Cole slaw. Her husband chose a hearty large shrimp salad (boiled shrimp), fresh veges & greens. Yum! We all agreed that our meals were really delicious. Our beverages (sweet tea and diet colas) were just right. The hush puppies "style" was unique and the flavor ~ delightful. Unanimous rating : 5 stars * * * * * Voila ! We took our time, and enjoyed our fun, delicious, & delightful afternoon together.

I ordered the fried platter combination of three oysters, sea scallops, and deviled crab. They also give you onion rings. My husband ordered the clam strips. We also got a baked potato. The devil crab flavor is good, but I can't taste any crab in it. The scallops were cooked a little too long and not in a flavor in those or in the clam strips. I wish they would've seasoned that a little bit better. The oysters came out very good. I paid $27 and I got six oysters, six scallops and one deviled crab, four onion rings and one baked potato, and the salad on the side I had to pay an extra two dollars for the salad. I would probably come back here and just order the oysters just because I like the atmosphere and I thought the oysters were good, but only if I was in the area. I rated it at three because of the flavoring in the seafood, but the service and the restaurant itself is a five. I have to make a correction those aren't onion rings there hush puppies shaped like onion rings lol but they taste pretty good.
