The guy at the registers was standing around being lazy. We placed our order and when it was ready the cook did not call our name or nothing. He threw the food on the counter and said here. This is the dirtiest firehouse I have ever seen. The restrooms had feces smeared on the toilet and the floor. The counter tops were visibly dirty and sticky. The drink station was covered in sticky splatters. The 2 young men working are polite, but I ordered the thanksgiving turkey and I had to repeat it 3 times. He was not listening. Several items were omitted from our order. For example he asked if I wanted a pickle on the side and I said yes ... no pickle. The sandwich was supposed to have cranberry sauce that was missing. Hello Firehouse Management, Let me start by saying your food is amazing and my wife and chose firehouse over the many competitors in the pooler area. Having a first responder background I feel it's important to know when you have a person representing the Firehouse company negatively. His name is Brandon and claimed to be a manager. Lara and I submitted a mobile order from the parking lot and I went inside initially and waited under the "mobile order sign with mobile storage bins" and watched baseball on your TVs.  In the next 10 min 4 more families entered and orders were put in. No names were called yet so i left and sat in my car as we watched the mobile pick up rack stay empty. I noticed 2 of the groups get their food so I went back inside and asked if there was a mobile order. He had a bag behind the counter. He said our name on the bag as if was an idiot. I explained that we had been waiting and watching the mobile order bin from our car and said " well why didn't you ask me" to which I said I made a mobile order so shouldn't it be in that rack (pointed to rack) letting me know it's ready? He said " no, you should ask me, i dont have time to always put it in there. ". At this point I'm dealing with a snarky employee so I ask him, " what your telling me is the customer is wrong?" And he said " yes I am". I was blown away by his attitude. Were from Augusta GA and this was our first time visiting this franchise. To add insult to injury, the other young man was eating his food between orders and the other young lady was walking around with a head set on but we still don't know if pooler branch has a drive thru. When we first drove up it was to the drive thru to which Noone came to the window. My timeline can be verified with your cameras. When i asked for his name said, "what man, you need it for you review?" I also asked for his supervisors name "chad weaver". I explained to him that i wasnt rude, didnt raise my voice, didnt call him any names but he clearly disrespected me as a mobile customer. All in all we give the food an A+ but we give Brandon the pooler mobile service a D. His leadership with the employees is sub par at best. I am a huge firehouse subs fan, this was my first visit to the store. Place was absolutely filthy and disheveled. from the floors to the counters it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days. One of my favorite spots in Pooler. It's positioned in a very convenient spot unlike a lot of the restaurants in downtown Savannah. The inside is always clean and the manager is always nice and helpful. I always order the Beef and Cheddar Brisket and I never had a complaint. read more

Worse experience in this location. As I entered today, there was a foursome family and two singles that had already ordered their food, which I can tell, they were waiting. I then went and ordered then stood for nearly 20 min waiting. At one point I started pacing. As I was waiting one of the girls behind the counter was more interested in shooting the breeze with her 3 high school friends than doing her job. There were 4 people back there and seemed like no hurry in processing the orders. Then 2 other gentlemen came out from the back, seemed like managers but they didn't check on things or start to help. Finally I got my food and left, sad thing is the people that were there before me still never got their food. When I got home with my wife's food and mine, her bread was soggy, no mustard as requested. Mine was scrambled up, both sandwiches were not hot. Staff needs to be adherent to customers and ensure the food is prepared properly and hot as indicated. Just plain bad service. So, I will continue to go the rincon site where I normally eat lunch . I try never to be THAT person, but I need to say this: if you are a Veteran, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES go to Firehouse Subs by Publix on Pooler Parkway. We found out they were doing a sandwich deal for Veterans Day. Myself and both my parents are veterans, so my mother and I decided to go there for dinner. From the MINUTE we walked in, we were made to feel unwelcome by the owner. My mother went first with her Veteran documents and asked if they were participating in the promotion. The owner rolled his eyes and goes, "Yes, unfortunately!" Then after my mother ordered, he handed her the drink cup and said, "We're low on drink cups cuz we weren't exactly prepared for this bullshit today." When it was my turn to order, I got the same treatment. We sat down to eat and had to listen to him stomping around and slamming down items talking LOUDLY to his employees about how "This is such bullshit; we've lost over $4K in profit because of entitled SOBs all day..." On and on to the point that we got up to leave. I finally had enough and turned to say, "If you're gonna complain about it being such an "inconvenience," then don't offer it!" He called us every name but white and said we were entitled and said, "I didn't make that call; corporate made me!" I said, "Fine, but you don't have to be such a jerk about it!" My mother added that after our entire family for several generations served (including my father for 24 years), we believe we had earned the right to have a nice meal without being treated like that. He told me to get the F-k out, and I assured him we won't be back. To know that ANYONE, ESPECIALLY a business known to cater to first responders and soldiers in the first place, treats it's patrons like that...that is SOOO NOT OKAY. My mother is in tears and I'm shaking with rage. We're not usually ones to even participate in stuff like this, but we figured it was a break from cooking or spending money to eat out. I love their Philly's cheesesteaks! The food is a little expensive, but it's worth it IMHO.

To start this review out; NO WARM WELCOMING like you also get when you enter... two "kids"-early 20's- whom seemed to hate their job and hated being there. (I get it... I've worked customer service, food prep for 10 years) This store was dirty as hell, towels clogging up the woman bathroom, water all over the floor, and tables were covered in food. Our order was completely wrong to make it all even more worse. The order taker took and rang it up perfectly, however, the young woman preparing this order failed to read the ticket. I've never had a terrible experience in a firehouse before but this one would be the one that turns me away from going again. The side salad I ordered; lettuce all bad and soggy, our subs weren't even hot... the food basically just tasted old and NOT fresh at all. My husband and I love firehouse, also rave about it, it was our favorite place to go when we were stationed in San Diego... Unprofessional Horrible Experience: I placed an order online and when I picked it up the sub was missing tomatoes, mustard, pickle and my sub was hot. I went back in the store and requested for a refund. She stated I didn't specify "cold" online so it automatically comes "hot" and that they were out of tomatoes. I advised it didn't give me the option to choose hot or cold and I need tomatoes on my sub...so since you're out of tomatoes too I would like a refund. I was denied a refund even though my order was wrong. I ended up calling the Pooler Police Department because I didn't want any conflict... the girl who was in there speaking with me called her sister to come up there I guess to have her back. The customer support number doesn't work....and the online support option gives an error message when trying to submit my compliant. All I'm requesting is a simple refund because my order was wrong. This location is clean and open. In a pretty busy plaza, but still peaceful when we went. The two guys behind the counter on 4/15 were really nice and had a nice conversation with my fiance about the hot sauces and different subs, which was really nice. The guys checked on us multiple times to see if everything was great, and they also were super nice and helpful to the other patrons. Our subs were amazing, as usual. I used to love FireHouse as they have both subs or salads. Now, in the salads, they chop everything up which makes it very difficult to eat within a normal lunch time period. Worse, I used to be able to take the tomatoes or whatever off, but now, it's all chopped. And I know that the bowls help save some trees so there's less plastic, but I still prefer not to use a plastic bowl that looks haggard and full of germs. I'm not a germophob, but during flu or cold season, a plastic bowl that is washed is non appetizing. As well, I know that food prices have gone up, but they've gone up too much for the times. I can get a better salad or sub for that price in many places.... For the Pooler Firehouse, I used to lover this place and would take friends and co-workers. Never again! I got my order of salad to go since I didn't want the weird bowl and I ordered it without tomatoes as I have an allergy to them. Fiften minutes later!!, and I ask about it. Never did they come out to find me, but let me wait for fifteen minutes so I finally asked and the delivery guy to the floor (I'll call him Mark) tells me they are making it now. Another 4 minutes and he starts shouting out my name and I wave where I'm at, but he won't bring it to me as it's a "to-go". He plops it down on the counter as if I'm not an important customer. Yeesh! So I tell him "after that long of a wait, and you can't bring it to me?" He yells back, "it's a to-go order". The manager is standing right there.... I love this place, plain and simple. The food is very good, there are excellent and varied selections, and from one location to the next, the consistency is there. The staff here at this location is busy, but they take care of you. I especially like how Firehouse has the Freestyle soda machine. It allows for variety in your drink that you would never have otherwise. There is also a large selection of chip options and this location keeps everything organized and refilled so you don't have to pick over the choices. The process of ordering is quick and the staff is good about re-reading the order back to you to avoid mistakes. We've always had good, accurate service here. I always get the club sub and really enjoy the slight steaming that just melts the cheese enough. My husband loves the pastrami and the cheesesteaks. Most of all, we love how Firehouse supports firemen and their charitable causes. If you've never been here, check it out. It's better than Subway by miles and miles and it outshines Jimmy John's -- the big game hunter who only gives you two slices of meat on a sandwich. Whether is them getting my order wrong or taking too long to make the sub, it's very very irritating to say the least. My best friend introduced me to Firehouse Subs so I was so excited to hear we were getting one in Pooler. My son and I went here pretty soon after we first opened and we were not disappointed. The staff was friendly. My son got a kids grilled cheese meal with a brownie and I got a meatball sub combo. My son loved his grilled cheese. He also said his brownie was very good. The meatball sub was the best meatball sub that I've had at a sub shop before. My son tasted it and said that next time that's what he was getting too. The meatballs were huge and I ended up saving half of it so my husband could try it. He had it cold several hours later and really like it. The firehouse decor is great and my son loved getting a fire hat with his meal. He also loved the soda machine that offered all kinds of drink combinations. We will be back! read more

I went to the firehouse today in pooler. I had the most rudest experience. I walked in and no one said nothing at all to me. I went to the register and your employee by the name of Diemind didn't say a word BUT decided to just stare like I was an alien or something. My name is Mary Tuttle and I ordered rapid pick up for 11:05 and when I arrived the order was not ready and on the shelf. So I finally went up to the counter and they said in a extremely rude to that the did not have my order. The employees at pooler firehouse need to be fired! The customer service was awful. I finally got my subs 35 minutes later and they threw them at me with a very nasty tone I will never return to this pooler location. This is definitely a great place to get a sub. While it's not too different than your other sub places, I definitely frequent Firehouse for a few reasons. Number one - there's not a huge amount of choices. This makes it nice and easy to find something. They do have a fair amount of choices that will suit most people, however. Number two - the Pooler location (and perhaps all locations) supports local firefighters. You can round up your change to support them, which I think is a great idea. The local heros go unsung far too much. Number three - the food is always consistent. It's always delicious and hot and fresh. Definitely a plus. If you're looking for a sub place, but don't want your standard sub fare, this is the place to go. They focus more on hot subs than they do cold, but they do have a selection of both. Stop by if you get a chance! read more

About 8 months ago I went into firehouse subs and was sure I wasn't going to come back however after visiting the store and noticing a new staff is in place I decide to give another shot. Firehouse does put out a good product once the right pieces (meaning staff) are in play. Service speed was good product was good and had an overall good experience. Honestly, the food was great. The service, however, was terrible. I don't ever make reviews, but it was to the point I had to make a review. I had to repeat my order multiple times, since even two coworkers weren't even paying attention as I was order. They asked what I wanted and then looked away, no eye contact just watching other people behind me. Their coworker was even asking the cashier what the customer said so he could go ahead and make the food. Did not feel welcome one bit. That's all though. I had tried the Victory drive Firehouse and wasn't all that excited by it. My wife has become a big fan of Firehouse, however, and insisted their hot subs were great (I had tried a cold sub at Victory) so I was game to try one again. I had the Hook and Ladder, and it was quite tasty. My wife had the smoked brisket hot sub and said it was phenomenal. The service was good and the cleanliness and decor were fine. Probably the main knock I would have against it is that like many of the sub places it is a bit pricey (~$18 for two combos, which is pushing into table service price range). We love this location. We frequently stop here as we travel along I-95. The restaurant is clean and the food is consistently good. They have high chairs and a kid-friendly menu. This was my first time eating at Firehouse Subs, and it will not likely be my last. I needed a quick bite to eat, so I landed at FHS at the recommendation of my fellow Yelpers. I ordered online, which took *maybe* 5 minutes. They told me to pick up my order at 12:30. When I walked into the restaurant at 12:25 it was absolutely slammed, but the girl behind the register was so good that there was only one person in front of me. She finished with him in about 30 seconds and started to help me. As soon as I told her I'd ordered online, she greeted me by name and handed me my sandwich and a receipt to sign. There were about 4-5 people sitting around waiting on their food, and they seemed none too pleased that I was in and out in the time it probably took them to order their food. I was in and out of the restaurant in less than 5 minutes. When I got back to work and opened my box, I almost cried. The spicy meatball sub was absolutely beautiful, and equally as delicious.
