I settled on the Cook County dog since it has a sweet Jamaican relish and hot sport peppers. Delicious! If I lived here I'd be a regular. The place is clean and the staff friendly. I ordered the seafood-stuffed salmon, while my fiancé ordered the 8 oz filet cooked medium and a side of mac & cheese. The salmon was cooked perfectly, but the stuffing was a bit of a letdown. The menu mentioned shrimp and scallops, but all I could really taste was cream cheese. The mashed potatoes on the side were just okay. My fiancé's filet, was seasoned well and cooked as ordered. The mac & cheese had great flavor, but unfortunately, the noodles were undercooked. They were chewy and rubbery rather than al dente. If the pasta had been cooked properly, could have definitely been the best dish of the night. And I definitely can't forget the espresso Martini, definitely a 10/10!

But don't let that fool you. The BBQ is gold inside. I've had the Brisket and I think I'm back in Texas. The Pulled Pork is so good and Smokey with just the right amount of bark. And if you like smoked chicken, either get the 1/2 or quarter chicken plate or add on 5 smoked wings. They are some of the best I've had. Their sides are all made in house, and I prefer the Brunswick stew. If you get a plate you get two sides and I'll typically try to talk them into the homemade banana pudding as my second side. Their sauces are good but unique in that they have a mustard base or vinegar base. I like them but that may different for you.... But trust me their smoke is so good you really don't even need sauce. And to me that is a sign of FANTASTIC BBQ! The staff is friendly and willing to help you with the menu as well as it's a little confusing when you first stop in because it's all hand written on the wall.
