We were next door at one of the medical buildings for an appointment and I saw that there was a deal going on for leap year. Anyone with a first name starting with L, E, A, or P got a free sandwich with purchase of another. It was right next door so we stopped by afterwards. I had the meatball and I have to say when I'm craving a good meatball sub, Firehouse comes through. There's not a lot of non-chain sub shops around so I appreciate when I can get a sub that's stuffed all the way like they do here. We took it to go but hung out while they were making our ores and the place is spotlessly clean and the workers were on their game. We have to go back in a couple weeks and I'm already thinking meatballs are on the docket for that visit too.

Haven't had firehouse subs in years and wow this was delicious!!! My Hook and Ladder had so much flavor and I absolutely love how thinly they slice the meat. The meatball sub was also great especially being a chain sub place. Side note: we ordered this through uber eats it came fast, fresh, and hot. We will definitely be repeat customers.

Had the sandwich and side combo. Picked the Firehouse Steak and Cheese and the Five Cheese Mac and Cheese. Both were good. For about $9 it wasn't bad.

    Small $6 cheesesteak. Seriously

I can't even. $6 sub. It may be a small but come on you cannot even put enough meat to cover the bread. Never again it's a joke and this is the 3rd and last attempt. SMH ‍

Deli subs that are fresh and packed with lots of cold cuts! My favorite is their Hook and Ladder sandwich. The Mac and Cheese is also very good! It's hit or miss on the workers being friendly or not at this location. Also, they can be very slow, so I wouldn't chose here if I was in a hurry during a busy hour. The food is worth the wait though!

Firehouse subs never fails to deliver. Great tasting subs with plenty of meat. I ordered the turkey sub with all the fixins on wheat bread. It's just crazy to me how they can take simple ingredients and make a crazy good sandwich. The sub tasted great. The cashier was super friendly. A good mix of sweet/unsweet tea makes the perfect glass. The bag of chips were...a bag of chips. Still good. All the above equals a great lunch. I always pick firehouse over any other sub place.

Firehouse Subs on University Boulevard in North Charleston knows how to make quality sandwiches and cookies that are delicious when you are hungry and need something really good to eat. The sandwiches here are well made and have fresh ingredients compared to some other sandwich options. It is good to have a consistent sandwich option in this part of town.

Great subs. Hot and cold, love the sauces collections... and we love the coke machine where you can mix your own soda. My favorite is coke with lemon! The desserts are great too! Keep it up Firehouse Subs

    Yum !

The sandwiches here are amazing, however be prepared to wait at least 35-40 minutes for it to be prepared.

Anywho walked in saw that I could order at the front counter or the kiosk. Didn't want to hold up anyone so kiosk was a major plus for me. Then I quickly realized how much I didn't know what to order because they have many different options of burgers and chicken sandwiches to choose from. I ordered the double bacon patty melt. You can make a meal or just get the sandwich. The sides of fries are starting at about $4 not even mention the drink price. You order grab a number and get the cups for your drink from the front counter. They have a sauce station where you can get different sauces and condiments, straws and napkins. I sat and had a window seat. The TVs are showing you the way everything is made I love that. Freshness: yes Seasoning: none My strawberry lemonade was the best thing I had the burger was kind of greasy and I don't like the cheesy sauce I rather no cheese. The bacon ranch fries I like those too. This is not an everyday burger place for me but I'll try it again with a milkshake.

The fresh lettuce and avocado makes the sandwich taste so good. They give you a big slice of chicken as well that is very flavorful. My daughter's favorite is the Hawaiian chicken Sandwich. She loves the pineapple in it. Their seasoned fries are a little oily and soggy sometimes, but it's very good. They are also very quick at getting orders ready, especially the drive through. We will definitely continue going there.

I can't believe I've lived in five years I've lived in 4 states and never tried Culvers! Well that…read morerecently changed and I'm here to talk about it. Located on Ladson road in a safe and easy to access area, Culvers is home of two notable products; the butter burger and concrete. I will start out with for some reason all the cars were in one line, totally dismissing the other order station which I accessed and skipped ahead three spots! Also the people are extremely nice although they have an interesting number system as I suspect it takes them a while to make their offerings. First up I ordered onion rings since my mom finally got out of the hospital and was craving "real food." I'll go on the record stating the onion rings were probably in my top two in town. Freshly fried with REAL ONIONS and a semi-thick batter. First bite, if one survives the magma hot touch will be a huge crunch with a slight resistance from the onion itself. In thinking back, I should have ordered two servings as I didn't want to share. Alas I ate less than half because I'm trying to be a good son. Next, I finally got to try a butter burger or in this case a mushroom and Swiss burger. To be honest I thought they cooked the burger in butter rather than they lightly toast the top bun in butter. That seems a flimsy proclamation to hang your hat on but I digress. The burger was darn good, the meat tasted better than a fast-food joint and had a slight smash to it. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked and the Swiss! The cheese really brought the sandwich together. I dare say this is the best fast food burger I ever had, yes it was that good. As for dessert, I love concretes; I eat them anywhere I can find them. Culvers is probably last among the restaurants that offer them. Please note a concrete is basically a custard - think ice cream with egg yolks; it offers a thicker and richer experience - with a lot more calories. I got the cheesecake concrete with cherries. What I got was a little bit of cheesecake, no graham cracker crust and 6 whole cherries thrown on top. Moreover, it wasn't that thick, but thicker and tastier than any milkshake available from competitors. I'm a bit confused about my experience at Culvers, I was expecting a more decadent hamburger, one I thought would be seared in butter but what I got was equally good. The onion rings were phenomenal compared to subpar concrete offering. The people are nice and the speed is a bit slow, but perhaps that's warranted. After a few months if the hamburger and onion ring itch comes on, I'll be back but if I desire a concrete there's better options. Still, Culvers is a very good restaurant and I advise dropping on by to try for yourself.

I came here with a group of friends when we were on a lunch break working on the island. I had a Greek veggie wrap, which was pretty small. It had hummus, veggies, and tzatziki in it, but the ingredients were mixed together into a tzatziki-based "salad" rather than whole in the wrap like I thought they might be. It is also a wrap, not a pita. I love pita, but it is neat that they serve wraps too, since most places don't. Others in my friend group ordered rice bowls, which was a really large portion for your money, and one friend's gyro looked solid. One of my friends is gluten free, and if you are, you'll find lots of options here. The same goes if you're vegetarian. Everyone was able to find something here with no arguments, which is always nice with a group. The prices seem a little expensive for what you get; at least I thought so with my wrap. Rice bowls seem like a better portion for the money. I would come back again with friends, but I would try something else next time.
