Let me say this first. I used to not be impressed with these subs both size and taste wise. But today was a totally different experience. I no longer eat Subway if you read my last post. So I had a tmobile bogo reward for Hook & Ladder subs that expired today so I was gonna get that but once I downloaded the app, Firehouse issued me a 50% off offer for first app order so I used that instead and got the sub of my choice which was the Club. When I arrived he was making my sub and everyone I encountered was so nice and friendly. The sub is huge and the ingredients so very fresh. The pickle spears are how I remember.....GOOD! I got extra this time. I love the sturdy cardboard containers for the subs. My only con is I didn't see any bacon on my sub so I still felt like it was a Hook & Ladder instead of a Club. This location is absolute trash!! They never get your order correct. How hard is it to leave the pickle off if that's what the customer wants!? Absolutely unbelievable. Ordered an Italian sandwich and as I took a bite I opened my mouth only to find an inch and a half NAIL in my sandwich. I'm not sure how this could happen when taking the necessary steps into making a sandwich but it seemed on purpose. I highly do not recommend this restaurant to anyone locally or visiting. Second visit to a Firehouse Subs. First and last time for this location. Just a couple of customers in the restaurant. About four workers behind the counter. I ordered the Italian sub minus raw tomato and onion. Told the woman that I couldn't eat raw tomato. Raw. Tomato. Then I ordered a bowl of chili. She stopped typing and gave me a look that would wither dandelions. I told her uncooked tomatoes are too acidic for me but cooked tomatoes don't have the pain inducing effects raw tomatoes do. She rolled her eyes at me, huffed and continued to put in my order. Why?? What consequence is it to her if I have certain stomach issues that prevent me from eating raw tomatoes vs cooked? Side note, the firehouse subs location in Sidney, OH served a four inch sub that was more than enough to fill me. Ordered an 8 inch at this location and it was less than filling. Horrible service and mediocre food. I've been to many Firehouse Subs and always enjoyed my meal but this location was a total disappointment. The bread wasn't fresh, it was a little tough and dry. The sandwich just wasn't as savory as I'm used to. We got a kids meal, but they didn't give us the rice Krispy treat, and when we asked we were told they didn't have any more. We realized later they didn't even give us a kids fireman hat. I know it's just little stuff, but it's disappointing to not get the service you are used to. Even my sandwich was missing toppings I had asked for. They had plenty of help but there was one woman in charge telling everyone what to do. Okay, so I was super hesitant about going here based on some of the reviews, but I'm from out of town and just wanted a sandwich. There weren't many other close by options. I decided to risk it. Sandwich was exactly what you'd expect from any firehouse chain, but they were super friendly, even for the south. I was welcomed in, they helped me find my order, and both staff members wished me well on my way out. The place was clean and I love any place that has Coke machine you can choose flavors for on a touch screen. I went in today and one of the ladies had a bad attitude. I asked for the Gyro sandwich and the chicken was rubbery and that sauce on it was awful. Took the sandwich back up to the counter and the male associate informed the girl to take care of the situation and she ignored me. Finally my daughter went up there to get my money back. She gave my daughter a refund for the sandwich. She should have given me $21 dollars and some change back. We left everything on the table. I will never eat there again. I was given a call from the owner who said that he would take care of the situation. I am tired of spending money on food that's unacceptable to eat. Good customer service is hard to find. The best location is on Forsyth Rd. My advice to the young lady, loose the attitude and work on having better customer service at the counter and don't loose your cool under pressure. I am more mad because I did not get all my money back. My daughter said that she came in yesterday and this same young lady had an attitude with her. So no one is telling a lie at this point. We came here for a later dinner, around 8. Hardly any of that tables were clean. The floor was gross. They were running out of sliced turkey so they said it make take a little longer. There were 3 orders in front of our order. I asked for an Engineer and he informed me a turkey sub would be cheaper. He asked if I still wanted Swiss and I said yes. My boyfriend ordered a sub without turkey hoping to get it a little quicker but he did not. We got water which had a tint to it, probably from being with the soda too. We sat down at a dirty table and about 20 minutes later received our subs. My sandwich didn't have any Swiss on it but tasted okay. When driving between Florida and the North Carolina mountains there are not that many dining options other than fast food and some slightly higher end chains, including Firehouse Subs. I ordered the 8 inch veggie sub with jalapeño chips. The vegetables were overcooked and most of them didn't look too fresh and the lettuce was wilted. However the mustard was very flavorful and the bread was good. However, it's 2018 and you don't have tofu on the menu or tempeh! They could even do a vegan chicken salad sandwich like they have at Whole Foods. But there is unfortunately only one vegetarian option on the menu at Firehouse Subs. The service, however, was quick and efficient. Overall, fellow vegetarians/pescatarians, if you are about to pass out from hunger, stop here. But if you can wait stop at a Chipolte or Texas Roadhouse on the way or just wait until you get to the Atlanta Area. read more

I have never been more embarrassed. I made an online order for pickup. No delivery service. Just ordered the sandwich online and went there on my lunch break. The sandwich was wrong. The first time I didn't realize it was wrong until I made it back to work. Now I head back up there. Ask for it to be remade. Got to my car and it is wrong again. At this point I no longer want firehouse. I kindly ask Crystal for a refund. This is my first encounter with Crystal. First she asked me to not hand the sandwich over the counter. I get that. But why did the employee take the sandwich from me? Not my job to know there procedures. But she decided to school me like a child. Then she told me "we do not give refunds but I would be happy to personally make you another". Well. I honestly did not want anything from this particular firehouse. So I again asked for a refund. She continued to offer another sandwich. I continue to ask for a refund. She refused to give me my money back. I left the restaurant with no food or money. My entire lunch break was gone. I called the corporate number. Apparently this place was just bought out by someone and is a franchise. If you use to like this place. Be aware. The windows and walls are visibly dirty from, dirty mop water? Dust on the framing of the firefighter picture; your feet will stick to the floor by the Coke machine. My first and last visit to Firehouse Subs.Our office placed an order for 16 subs, and a brownie platter to the tune of $140 plus dollars.. The order pick up time was inaccurate and we were forced to wait 45 minutes while they built our order. Then to make matters worse, when we got back to the office all the sandwiches were lableled with the same number, no names, and we were forced to open each sub and try to determine which Sandwich belonged to who. The Bownie platter was frozen, 1/2 the sandwiches were not accompanied by a pickle.. The only part of this experience that was pleasant, was the young man the helped me carry the order outside.
