Workers talking badly of employees and people trying to get a job here

Not Friendly girls making food and one was a manager. Discrimination of home schooled co workers. Talking about things like that in front of customers is not okay. Phones were not put on chargers so the phone didn't work as a worker was coming in trying to say she called but they didn't believe her. This place needs schooling on how to act with customers in the workplace. Not okay. Will not come back. Took almost 15 minutes to get food and there were only 2 other customers. I would advise to stay away from this firehouse subs

Firehouse Subs is the best taste, value and sub choice in the industry! Lafayette facility is always clean and staff is ready to assist!

Touch screen soft drink machine dispenses 120 different drinks

We had the New York Steamer (brisket, pastrami, & provolone) and the Engineer (turkey, sauteed mushrooms, and Swiss) hot subs and they were very tasty. The subs come in either an 8-inch or 12-inch size and white or wheat. They also have salads. Our food was ready very quickly and they had many people working so even long lines moved quickly. The people working there were also very good about cleaning empty tables and coming to tables to ask if everything was ok. The one really cool thing is their soft drink machine which dispenses 120 different drinks. It is a touch screen machine that allows you to create many different variations of drinks. For example, the Diet Coke types included Vanilla Diet Coke, Raspberry Diet Coke, Lime Diet Coke, Cherry Diet Coke, etc.

Soggy nasty mushy bread

Disgusting. I've always had the best food here and I was so disappointed. Avoid this location at all costs. Everything was so soggy. The sandwich was so poorly made. I threw out 90% of the food we ordered. The manager was talking loudly about her neighbor problems and what she was dealing with. Everything was so unprofessional. I will never go back.

I would say these are okay subs. The bread is chewy, and not really toasted. The only thing I liked about this place was the different hot sauces they have there! I like to dine in, rather than take it to go. The employees are friendly and the shop itself is pretty clean, but I don't think I'll be back. I've had better sandwiches in town.

Steak sub from a catered box lunch

A solid sub. I was given a catered box at work, the steak sub and it was great. Soft chewy bread, tender beef, grilled peppers and onions. Condiments on the side. The box also had Vicki chips and a slightly disappointing lemon cookie. Overall I would stop by and check it out myself, should I ever find myself craving a sub.

Love the food at Firehouse subs! I will say, I don't think it's really a good take out place. It is very good if you eat it there.

If you get the medium it's about 8/9in and just the sandwich (I never get the combo) is just over $6 so it's reasonable.

You place your order as soon as you enter. We were unsure as to how it worked so went to look at the salad bar. It was ok nothing spectacular. They also had soup. All food in this area is weighed and you pay by the ounce. Reminded me of a hospital cafeteria except it was more expensive. I was never sure how much per ounce. A friend had the chicken salad sandwich which was on the most wonderful croissant. Chicken salad is very thickly applied. It was good not over the top but good also we split a coconut cream pie. It was on the heavy side a lot of coconut and not much pudding. I like my coconut cream nice and fluffy. . For a very small salad and the chicken sandwich, it was 39. Dollars a bit much.

The portions were great! The interior has a small store and a dining area beside the salad bar. The restroom is small but has a baby changing area if needed.

I love the protein salad, it is a combination of soy beans, wheat, cheese, and vegetables. The soups are tasty and many of them are vegetarian (no chicken stock). They have a great tomato-mozzarella panini, and a very good veggie burger. I think the name "gourmet deli" is very appropriate.

I nearly always order a sandwich platter or some variation of that. Today, my husband and I shared an egg salad sandwich along with a side of the vegetarian potato salad and a fruit garnish. It was a healthy amount of food! It was all somewhat light fare, however, so it didn't leave you feeling weighed down after the meal. Vegetarian options abound at this restaurant. They offer egg salad, artichoke, and hummus options for their sandwich platter, but they also have paninis, a veggie burger, salads, etc. And their desserts always look magnificent! Sadly, we did not order one today, but that is not an easy decision. They have a spacious dining area. The front area can seem a little busy, but we always make our way back to the second dining room. Our order was taken promptly, and our food arrived in hardly any time at all. Wonderful service, wonderful food - again, the only thing I could complain about is their limited hours.
