When another friend had bravely "come out" only to be to rejected by some of his religious friends, Nine Irish was the place where my wife and I were able to sit down with him over some Guinness and goat cheese fritters and show him how much we love him. The food and drinks are fantastic, and the memories are forever. A 20oz soft drink bottle costs $1.89. While we waited for our order, there were multiple people that showed up for Carry Out orders and they took multiple orders over the phone. I arrived a bit after normal lunch hours, so was not too upset I had to wait 20 minutes for them to fry my chicken. You may want to call ahead. The restaurant itself is pretty dumpy from its Cozy Tavern days. And it was about 60 degrees in there on a nice spring day. The AC was full blast and I could not eat in the restaurant. It may sound crazy, but if you want some really good fried chicken, try the Krispy Krunchy Chicken gas station restaurant chain. There's one in Dayton which I have not been to, but the one I had up north was 100% off the chain.
