A menu of the firehouse
Kenneth B.

Everyone working here was really friendly I really would recommend coming here. The food is great. The sandwiches are excellent as well. The ambience is great. It was it's clean and overall you know kind of reminds you of the old nostalgic firefighters and the fire houses in the dedication that they have and all their servicemen that's an incorporated in here so I would definitely recommend you come check this place out. Have a great day.

Firehouse Meatball Sub with Side Salad

I was craving a Meatball sub and this hit the spot. It doesn't come with banana peppers, but I love them, so I asked for them to be added. I ordered a side salad to be somewhat healthy...I really wanted their Mac & Cheese! Yummmyy!

Dirty floors.

The good: The food tasted good. Was hot and fresh. The meh: everyone behind the counter seemed bored. There are dirty tables and the ground could be moped. The bad: At no point should a sub place take over ten minutes from ordering to make a sub when no one else is ordering.

Wow small

Fool me once, no thanks- if you really wanted me to try again , you would have offered a free retry. Period

This was really good - New York Steamer Sub

We were on our way to Disney World and we decided to stop here - it was not on the I-75-40 business area, but this location was still pretty good; they were really nice and hosted a good 15 of us - the sub was really good and I had no problems at all with this place. They have clean restrooms too and they have a lot of options for drinks

Yuck it even look nasty before a bite could even happen.

Slow slow slow. Very busy but would not be this busy if they were quicker. Ate chips way before sandwich was ready. Just slow.

An example of a business that takes criticism, and corrects the issues. Thanks for the response, and look forward to eating there again!

It was pretty busy for a Friday at 9:15 a.m., but the line moved quickly and we didn't have to wait long. I loved that the bagel sandwich menu went beyond the usual, run-of-the-mill options. We got the steak sandwich on a dill havarti bagel and the bacon, egg & cheese on a celery salt bagel, with zhug on the side (think a spicy red pepper pesto meets chimichurri, with lots of aromatic spices). Both were fantastic! The bagels were a little softer than what I grew up with in NJ, but that texture actually worked really well with these sandwiches. Bagel sandwiches can sometimes be a messy, unwieldy ordeal, but these were perfectly constructed and easy to eat. The food was great, but the staff deserve a shout-out, too. Everyone was upbeat, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there and interacting with customers. That kind of energy makes a difference. By the time we finished eating, the line had grown to wrap around and extend outside the building, yet it still seemed to be moving along efficiently. Clearly, we weren't the only ones who thought this place was worth a visit! I wish we had a spot like this back home. Creativeii, delicious sandwiches, great service, and a fun atmosphere. 100% recommend!

The matzo in the matzo ball chicken soup was pretty good, as was the broth, they seriously skimp on the chicken. The wait staff are fast, efficient, courteous, and friendly. The manager Will is pretty cool. A odd side note; Customers in line thought it strange for a deli/ bagel place claiming Jewish heritage to have all the meat on all the sandwiches prepared Hallala (Sharia) compliant. No claim of being Kosher. Might go back if convenient, but not if it's out of our way.

My buddy opted for the Spicy Smash. The burgers were mmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmm great, Juicy and the bun held up. Fries were fresh and would like to see maybe a topping or poutine option for them. Cool spot to get some AC and great burger before a Smokies game or a night in the old City.

SmashCity wasn't far off of the interstate, it had good ratings and although we'd been eating burgers and fries quite a bit on this roadtrip, a good burger and fries really sounded good. All of the reviews were right on - this was absolutely NOT fast food - it was fast, really fast, but the speed was just bonus. As we usually do, we split. We chose the Carolina BBQ smash. The burgers were juicy - if you're not careful, I guarantee you'll be wearing it. Two critiques, it definitely needed more sauce - I just added some of the SmashCity sauce from our fries and it worked but I really would have liked to have had more BBQ sauce. Second, the fried onions were quite burned. I pulled off most of them. The hand cut fries were piping hot, just the right amount of greasy and seasoned perfectly. Splitting the burger was a good call - I'd never have eaten the whole thing myself. The burger and fries were just over $20. When you consider a Big Mac meal at that clown place is $14, SmashCity is almost a bargain. Paul, the owner was like the energizer bunny - he was everywhere at once. Personality oozed from his pores. Make sure you tell him Sue said hi! (He won't remember me but just say hi anyway!) Now I wouldn't say SmashCity has the best burgers - that award goes to our friend Jerry. He makes a pretty mean smash burger on the blackstone. If you have an extra half hour, skip the fast food burger joints, get off that highway, and go let Paul fill your belly for the rest of your trip! You'll appreciate it!

If I'd had more time, I would have loved hanging out here for a while. I only managed to get here about 45 minutes to close, so their selection was understandably if somewhat disappointingly quite picked over. I wound up with a cranberry oat scone and a blueberry and raspberry hand tart. The employee was very pleasant and warm. I appreciated her eagerness to help and positive attitude despite my late arrival. The baked goods sadly didn't really live up to my expectations. The cranberry oat scone was the much better of the two; it was pleasantly sweet and had the proper scone texture and only a little dry. Unfortunately, the hand tart had several edges that I discovered later had been burnt. This impacted the flavor of the whole item and sadly diminished it greatly. The fruit filling was tasty at least, though I didn't get much raspberry from it -- mostly blueberry. I'd be down to try again in the future, just would come earlier in the day when the selection is a bit larger and the products available are a bit more "choice," let's say. I appreciated the kind service and lovely vibes!
