This restaurant is okay, generally. I mean the food is decent, I have come here quite a few times, sometimes they close early due to staff shortages and sometimes they get your order wrong, usually nothing too major though. For example today I asked for honey mustard with my order and instead I got tartar sauce and cocktail sauce, other times I've gotten one side when I asked for another. Save your money! When my husband and I first walked in, we noticed that there was only one person there. That alone should've been a tip off that something was not right. However, we decided to go ahead and order. It took a few tries to get the order request right, the girl taking our order was so soft spoken and my husband who is hard of hearing couldn't understand her (even with his hearing aids on!). So while we are waiting for our order, we overhear a customer complain that the coleslaw has a bad taste to it! What!!! We ordered coleslaw!!! Then we hear the girl tell the cook that that's the 4th customer who complained about the coleslaw. First they were out of rice (for my order) and then we hear the coleslaw was bad. So we get our two orders, we both ordered coleslaw and she said they were making a new batch. My husband ordered soup which he got with no spoon. When he went to go check to see if there were any spoons where the supplies were at, there wasn't. Then he went to the Cook who was standing by the stove and asked him for a spoon and that jerk actually said to my husband, we don't have anymore! What the heck was my husband supposed to do drink the soup? So when the girl came back to the front counter, my husband asked her for a spoon and she provided him one. My husband was also trying to get a lemon wedge for his fish and the Cook refused to look or talk to him, completely ignored him. There was nobody at the counter for at least 10 minutes when I had gone up there along with another customer to ask for the cheesecake that we ordered and I didn't get and she was waiting to get a refund of the coleslaw. she never got. How does this business stay in open is beyond me. I should've taken pictures, but they had swept trash up to the center of the floor in the kitchen area and left there. My husband and I were so dissatisfied with the service there that we couldn't even finish our whole meal! We threw half of it away because we lost our appetite! I would not recommend this place to anyone. As a matter fact, there was another customer that I could tell by the shirt, he was wearing that he worked local, he threw his food away as well, saying this is the worst he's ever had. Kelly B Just went through drive thru and ordered family meal. When I got home the fish is not what you normally get. Fish was thin and overcooked. Had to wait 15 minutes for order. Last week my husband went through drive thru to order family meal and to add 5 pieces of chicken. The boy that was taking order said he didn't have a button to add 5 pieces of chicken. We have eaten at this store for many years and many times over those years. Last week we ate here and it was very good as usual. Last night was the greatest disappointment I've ever seen. The fish was like not an entire piece of fish. It was like it was sliced super thin with a massive amount of breading around it. It was nearly disgusting. All the sides were cold. Broccoli felt chilled to the touch like it was pulled from the fridge. We've never experienced anything like this from this particular captain d's. There were many young people working and perhaps it was a lack of training but I hope management can help get them well trained and restore this establishment. read more

Eating here has become a once or twice a week dinner or lunch place. Good seafood at fair price. Great iced tea, variety of grilled or fried seafood. Specials are plenty. Clean restaurant, bathroom and staff are friendly. I recommend! Great for a casual, quick service dining, fast food does not describe the dining here! read more

Top notch!!! the menu selection is fantastic, enough with the burgers and chicken....they have the crisp fish and fry...BUT also wild caught salmon(better than Red Lobster which theirs is pacific warm water), Tilapia, clams, shrimp, fries that are better than ANYWHERE, Okra thats better than cracker Barrel, Bake potatoes that are larger than steak house....they have dessert, mac and cheese and believe it, they have chicken tenders better than Chik Fil A.....seriously check them out.....this post is making me hungry.....its gotta be D's tonight... read more

Nice inside decor. Food tasted good. Empty unsweetened tea canister so we informed someone with blue hair, who took it immediately for a refill, that never came . Blue hair spoke not a word to say if they would brew more or any idea on if it was appearing again. I especially like the tea there so I was disgruntled. Too many oily unclean tables also. No one was cleaning them. It was not busy at all with just 3-4 customers inside. Minus three stars for not keeping tea filled and not speaking and for many dirty tables. Put one star back for the turning off of the horrible music. Thanks for that at least. Had to ask for lemon too. Had to scoop it out of a container they put in front of me on the counter. After hubby asked for eta on the tea and oh they forgot to bring it out! No refill for us this time. We had to get back on the road. All in all a very unorganized subpar experience. Unable to give a negative 5. Insanity: repeating a activity expecting a different outcome. 6-8 mos ago I was disappointed after going through drive thru and I forgot. Disappointed again- must have the same management. Upgraded bake potatoes were cooked before lunch ( I went thru a little after 5pm) the new catfish strips were double cooked and inedible. Steamed broccoli was cooked yesterday. A better choice would have been Buddy's BBQ, less than a mile away. It's not good when a couple eggo frozen waffles ( .25$) are more palatable than almost $9 of Capt.Ds, even my chickens turned their beaks up at that crap! read more
